engine according

owner's manual. Do

overload, overrun

the

engine

or

run

it

with

lowload and

at

lowspeed in a longtime.

Use

specified grade

of

gasoline. The fuel should

be

fully

deposited and filtrated before

use.

Keep clean the fuel filler,

change theoil periodically.

• Periodicallycheck

the

installation, connection and the degree

of

tightness

of

the

fixed bolt.Tighten

it

if

necessary.

• Periodicallyclean theelement

ofthe

aircleaner,change

it

when

necessary.

• The engine

is

air-cooled,

so

clean the radiator, wind cover and

fan in time in

order

to

make theengine cool normally.

• The operator should

be

familiar

with

the working principle

aad

structure

of

thegasoline engine, knowing

how

to

make

an

emergent stop and

the

operation

of

all controlling parts. Any

one

without

training

is

forbidden

to

operate

the

engine. Keep

periodical maintenance. Solve problems in time. Do

not

nm

the

engine in spite

of

malfunction.

• Running die engine in a well-ventilated place, keep

it

at least

one meteraway

from

buildingwalls

or

other

equipments, keep

away

from

inflammablessuch

gasoline, matdiesand

clean

it

thoroughly

not

run theengine in airtight

ill-ventilated places.

• Inclination

of

gasoline engine which indicates

the

included

angle between crankcasecoverand level

is

less

than 26°during

its runing.lf

combustion

REFUEL

WITH

CARE

Gasoline

is

extremelyflammable, and gasolinevapor

can

explode.

Refuel outdoors, in a well-ventilated area,

with

the engine

stopped. Never smoke near gasoline, and keep

other

flames and

sparks

away.

Always store gasoline in

an

approved container.

If

any fuel

is

spilled, make sure the area

is

dry

before starting

the

engine.

HOT

EXHAUST

• The muffler becomes very hot during operation

and

remains

hot

for

a while after stopping the engine.

Be

careful not

to

touch the muffler while

it

is

hot. Let the engine cool before

storing

it

indoors.

•

To

preventfire hazards

and

to

provideadequateventilation

for

stationary equipment applications,

keep

the engine at least 3

feet

(1

meter) away from building walls

and

other equipment

duringoperation. Do

not

place flammable objects close

to

the

engine.

For

your

safety,

and

to

maximize

the

service

life

of

your

equipment,

it

is

veryimportant

to

take a

few

moments beforeyou

operate

the

engine

to

check its condition.

Be

sure

to

take care

of

any problem you find,

or

have your servicing dealer correct it,

beforeyou operatetheengine.

A

WARNING

Improperly maintaining this

engine,

or

failing

to

correct a

problem

before

operation,

could

cause

amalfunction

in

which

you

could

be

seriously

injured.

Always perform a preoperation inspection, and

correctany

problem.

Before beginning your preoperation checks,

be

sure the engine

is

level

and

theengine switch

is

in theOFF position.

CHECK

THE

GENERAL

CONDITION

OF

THE

ENGINE

e Look around and

underneath

the

engine

for

signs

of

oil

or

gasoline leaks.

eRemove

any excessive

dirt

or

debris, especially around

the

muffler

and

recoil starter.

e Look

for

signs

of

damage.

e Check

that

all shields

and

covers are in place,

and

all nuts, bolts,

and

screws are tightened.

CHECK

THE

ENGINE

Check the engine oil level. Running theengine

with

a

low

oil level

can

cause

engine damage.

The Oil

Alert

system (applicable engine types) will automatically

stop

the

engine

before

the

oil

level

falls

below

safe

limits.

However,

to

avoid the inconvenience

of

an

unexpected shutdown,

always checkthe engine oil level before startup.

Check the air filter. A

dirty

air

filter

will

restrict

air

flow

to

the

carburetor, reducing engine performance.

Checkthe fuel level. Starting

with

afull tankwill help

to

eliminate

or

reduce operatinginterruptions

for

refueling.

PRECAUTIONS

Before operating the engine

for

the

first

time, please review the

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION and

the

chapter

titled

BEFORE

OPERATION.

A

WARNING

Carbon

monoxide

gas is

toxic. Breathing

it

can

cause

unconsciousness

and

even

kill

you.

Avoid any

areas

or

actions that

expose

you

to

carbon

monoxide.

Review the instructions provided

with

the equipment powered

bythis engine

for

any safetyprecautions

that

should

be

observed

in conjunction

with

engine startup, shutdown,

or

operation.

STARTING

THE

ENGINE

1.

Push

downthe engine switch

to

theON position.

2.

Starting primer bulb operation

is

important operation

of

the

starting engine. For cold starting, slightly press the primer

bulb one

to

three

times in succession and

quickly

pull the

recoil cable grip. For

hot

starting,

directly

pull

the

starter

cable grip.

THE

schedule

applies

to

normal

operating

conditions.

you operate your engine under unusual conditions,

sustained high-load

high-temperature operation,

in unusually

wet

and

MAINTENANCE

Make

sure

the

engine

is

off

before

you

begin

any

maintenance

or

repairs. This will eliminate several potential

hazards:

• Carbon monoxide poisoning

from

engineexhaust.

Be

sure there

is

adequate ventilation wheneveryou operate

theengine.

• Burns

from

hot

parts.

Let theengine

and

exhaustsystem cool beforetouching.

•

Injury

from

movingparts.

Do

not

run theengine unless instructed

to

do

so.

2.

Read

the instructions before you begin,

and

make sure you

have thetools

and

skills required.

3.

To

reduce the possibility

of

fire

or

explosion,

be

careful when

working around gasoline.

Use

only a nonflammable solvent,

not

gasoline,

to

clean parts. Keep cigarettes, sparks and

flames awayfrom all fuel-related parts.

Remember

that

yourservicingdealerknows yourengine best

and

is

fullyequipped

to

maintain

and

repair it.

To

ensure the best qualityand reliability,

use

only new, genuine

parts

or

their

equivalents

for

repair

and

replacement.

you

accidentally

missed

the

servicing

time,

do

it

immediately.

Stop

the

engine

before

servicing.

Put

the

engine

on

a

level

surface

and

to

avoid starting,

remove

the

spark

plug

cap.

Never

run

your

engine

in

a poor lyventilated

area.

Be

sure

to

keep

good

ventilation

in

working

The

exhaust

from

the

engine

may

contain

poisonous

carbon

monoxide,

breathing

it

would

cause

shock,

unconsciousness

and

even

death.

Check

Remove

the

fuel tank

cap

and checkfuel level.

If

the

level

is

too

low, refuel

the

tank. Remember adding fuel

not

overthefuel upper level.

FUEL TANK

A

WARNING

Gasoline

is

extremely

flammable and

is

explosive

under

certain

conditions.

Refueling

in

a well-ventilation

area

with

the

engine

stopped.

Do

ot

smoke

and allow

flames

or

sparks

in

the

area

where

gasoline

is

stored or

where

the

fuel

tank

is

refueled.

Do

not overfill

the

fuel

tank

(there

should

be

no

fuel

in

the

filling

neck).

After

refueling,

make

sure

the

fuel

tank

cap

is

set

back

securely.

Be

careful not to spill

fuel

when

refueling.

Spilled

fuel

or fuel vapor may ignite.

If

any fuel

is

spilled,

make

sure

the

area

is

dry

before

starting

the

engine.

Avoid repeated or prolonged contact with skin or

breathing

of

fuel

vapor.

Keep

outof

reach

of

children.

Only

use unleaded gasoline and recommend gasoline grade

90#over.

Unleaded gasoline

can

reduce gasolineenginecarbon depositand

prolongthe exhaust system service life.

Never

use

contaminated gasoline

or

mixed gasoline

with

oil.

Dont

allowthedust, foreign

matter

or

water

entering

into

fuel tank.

A

CAUTION

Fuel

may

damage the

oil

paint and plastic.

Be

careful

not to spill fuel

when

refueling. Any

damage

due

to

oilspilling

is

notwithin valid warranty.

" Light knocking"

or

"spark exploding" sound

can

be hear when

theengine overloading.

It

is

normal. Do

not

worry

aboutthat.

If

"knocking"

or

"spam exploding" sound occur

at

a steady speed

under normal load, change brand

of

gasoline;

if

such phenomena

still happen, consult

your

dealer

for

help, otherwise

the

engine

may be damaged.

9 I Maintenance

When

the

engine

is

running, continuously "knocking"

or

"spark

exploding" sound occurringwill damage engine.

"Knocking"

or

"spam exploding" sound

from

misusing will

not

be

within

thevalid warranty.

CHECK

Check the engine oil level

with

the engine stopped and in a level

position.

1.

Remove

the

fillercap/dipstick and wipe

it

clean.

without

screwing

it

into

the

filler neck. Checkthe oil level shown on the dipstick.

3.

If

the

oil level

is

low, fill

to

the edge

of

the oil filler hole

with

the recommended oil.

Running the engine with a

low oil/eve/

can

cause

engine

the

engine is warm.

Warm

oil

drains

quicklyand completely.

Used

engine oil may cause

skin

cancer

repeatedly left

in

contact with the skin for prolonged

periods.

It

is

still advisable to thoroughly

wash

your

hands

with

soap

and water

as

soon

as

possible after handling

used

oil.

1.

Place asuitable container belowtheengine

to

catch

the

used

oil, remove theoil dipstick, drain plug and washer.

2.

Allow

the used oil

to

drain completely, and then reinstall the

drain plug, and tighten

it

securely.

A

CAUTION

Please

dispose

of

used

engine

oil

in an

environmental

friendly

way.

We

suggest

you

take

used

oil

in

a

sealed

container to your local recycling center or service

station for

reclamation.

Do

not throw

it

in

the

trash;

pour

it

on

the

ground; or

down

a

drain.

With

the engine in a level position, fill

to

the

outer

edge

of

the oil filler hole

with

the recommended oil.

Oil

is

a major factor affecting performance

and

service life.

Use

4-stroke automotiveengine oil.

SAE

lOW-30

is

recommended

for

general

use.

Other viscosities

shown in thechart may

be

used

when the average temperature in

yourarea

is

withinthe recommended

range.

The

SAE

oil viscosity

and

service classification are in theAPI label

on the oil container. We recommend

that

you

use

API

SERVICE

Remove

the

air

cleaner cover and inspect

the

filter.

Clean

or

replace

dirty

filter

elements. Always replace damaged

filter

elements.

If

equipped

with

an

oil-bath air cleaner, also check the

oil level.

A

dirty

air

filter

will restrict air

flow

to

the carburetor, reducing

engine performance.

If

you operate the engine in very dusty

areas,

clean the air

filter

moreoftenthan specified in the MAINTENANCE

SCHEDULE.

A

WARNING

Operating

the

engine

without

an

air

filter,

or

with a

damaged

air

filter, will allow

dirt

to

enter the engine,

causing rapid engine

wear.

This type

of

damage

is

not

covered

by

the Distributor's LimitedWarranty.

replace damaged aircleaner parts.

Reinstall the aircleaner parts

back.

avoid cross-threading, first, screw in spark plug by hand,

and

more

twist

STORAGE/

TRANSPORTING

STORAGE

PREPARATION

Proper storage preparation

is

essential

for

keeping your engine

trouble

free and looking good. The following steps

will

help

to

keep rust and corrosion

from

impairing

your

engine's function

and appearance, and

will

make the engine easier

to

start

after

storage.

CLEANING

If

the engine

has

been

running, allow

it

to

cool

for

at

least half

an

hour

before cleaning. Clean all

exterior

surfaces, touch up any

damaged paint, and coat

other

areas

that

may rust

with

a light

film

of

oil.

A

CAUTION

Do

not

incline

the

engine

so

as to avoid fuel's spill in

transporting. Spilled fuel

or

fuel vapor may ignite to

cause

(Ire.

If

suspension

a longtime, storage should

be

as

WARNING

The

length

of

time

that

gasoline can be /eft in your

fuel tank and carburetor without causing functional

problems

will

vary

with

such factors

as

gasoline

blend, your storage temperatures, and whether the

fuel tank

is

partially

or

completely (!/led.

The

air in a

partially(!/led fuel tank promotes fuel deterioration.

Very warm storage temperatures accelerate fuel

deterioration. Gasoline

will

oxidize and deteriorate

in storage. Deteriorated gasoline

will

cause hard

starting, and

it

leaves gum deposits

that

clog the

fuel system. As a result,

If

the engine

is

not

used

for

more

than one month, the fuel oil shall

be

drained

thoroughly to prevent from deterioration

of

the fuel

in fuel system andcarburetor.

The

failures

of

fuel system or engine performance

arising from improper storage are beyond the

scope

of

the warranty.

REMOVAL

FROM

STORAGE

Check your engine

as

described in the chapter CHECK

BEFORE

OPERATION.

If

the fuel was drained during storage preparation, fill the tank

with

fresh

gasoline.

If

you keep a

container

of

gasoline

for

refueling,

be

sure

that

it

contains only fresh gasoline. Gasoline

oxidizes

and

deterioratesovertime,causing hard starting.

If

the cylinders were coated

with

oil duringstorage preparation,

theengine maysmoke briefly

at

startup.This

is

normal.

TRANSPORTING

If

the

engine

has

been running,

allow

it

to

cool

for

at

least 15

minutes before loading

the

engine-powered equipment on

the

transport vehicle. A hotengine

and

exhaust system

can

burn you

and

can

ignitesome materials.

Keep the engine level when transporting

to

reduce the possibility

of

fuel leakage. Movethefuel valve lever

to

theOFF position.

high altitude, the standard carburetor air-fuel mixture will

be

too

rich. Performance

will

decrease

and

fuel consumption

will

increase. A

very

rich mixture

will

also foul

the

spark plug and

cause hard starting. Operation at

an

altitude

that

differs

from

that

at which this engine was certified,

for

extended periods

of

time, may Increase emissions.

engine running, carbon monoxide, oxide

of

nitrogen

and

hydrocarbon

will

produce,

and

in certain conditions, oxide

of

nitrogen

and

hydrocarbon will react chemically

each

other

to

make smokewhile carbon monoxide

is

toxic,

so

exhaustcontrol

of

them

is

veryimportant.

The company decreases

the

exhaust emissions by introducing

poor-fuel carburetors

and

other devices into the engine

to

solve

the problem.

To

keep

the exhaust

of

your engine with in the standard exhaust

emission pay attention
