Getting
Started
Before you begin to assemble your Typhoon
4K, it is important to prepare the SD card that
comes with the package.Inside the accessories
box you will nd the SD card. Remove it and
insert it into the hard drive on your computer.
Move all essential les from the SD card to
your computer. It is recommended to delete
les from the SD card so that you have more
space on it.
STEP 1
Plug in your power supply into a suitable
power source and connect your smart charger
into the power supply plug. A green light will
indicate when your battery is ready to charge.
Once the green light blinks, insert cord into
battery. Allow batteries to charge fully before
ight. Charging will take approximately
two hours. The next step is to charge the
ST10+remote control. You can charge your
ST10+ with any micro USB connection or use
the included USB wall charging adapter.
STEP 3
Take out the four propellers and remove
the aircraft from the box. To install the
propellers, simply match the “A” propellers
to the “A” section and the “B” propellers to
the “B” section. An “A” propeller is installed
by twisting it counterclockwise and a “B”
propeller is installed by twisting it clockwise.
STEP 2
Before taking off, remove gimbal proptective
cover and remove lens protective film.
Insert the SD card into the CGO3 and put
your aircraft aside. Tip: If you land your
Typhoon and shut it off before turning off
the “capture video,” the file on the SD card
will get corrupted. However, if your file does
get corrupted, it can be repaired. Simply put
the SD card back in the CGO3 and power on
the ST10+ transmitter and Typhoon. Wait ten
seconds and the file will be repaired.
STEP 4
4

Insert the battery noting the direction of the
“up” side. The battery will only install one
way and should slide in smoothly. Ensure the
battery is fully installed by applying a small
amount of pressure to ensure the battery
connections are established. The battery door
should now shut fully.
STEP 5
To use your Typhoon 4K, it is recommended
that you acquire 7 satellites or more. You can
nd the satellite information on the ST10+
screen. Verify ight mode is in the correct
position for your rst ight. For a beginner, we
recommend Smart Mode. For intermediate to
advanced pilots that have previous experience
with multirotors, we suggest using Angle
Mode. Watch Me and Follow Me are only
active in Smart Mode.
STEP 7
Prepare for ight by turning on your ST10+
and then your Typhoon 4K. Set your Typhoon
4K in an open area, take a step back and
move 26 feet. Wait to acquire satellites. Once
aquired, your ST10+ transmitter will indicate
a “ready” status.
STEP 6
Before start up, ensure the area is clear of
obstructions and people. Next, ensure your
Typhoon 4K is set to “ready” status and you
are at least 26 feet away from the Typhoon.
To start the rotors, hold the start/stop button
for three seconds. Rotors will spool up to an
idle and await your command. Increase the
altitude stick all the way up until lift off and
then release to hold altitude.

We recommend flying in an area without
obstructions for your first flight.

Defining
Features
Ensuring utmost safety, the FAA compliant No Fly
Zone feature prevents ight near commercial airports.
When Follow Me is enabled, the Typhoon 4K follows
the pilot automatically.
6
Switch to Home Mode and the Typhoon will y back
toward the location of the pilot holding the ST10+
and will automatically land within 13 to 26 feet (4 to
8) meters of the pilot. Additionally, once the Dynamic
Return Home feature is enabled, the pilot still has
the ability to control which way the multicopter is
maneuvered so that all obstacles can be avoided.
DYNAMIC RETURN HOME
NO FLY ZONES
The No Fly Zone feature also prevents ight above
400 feet from the ground.
LEGAL FLYING HEIGHT
FOLLOW ME
The buit-in GPS establishes a 26 foot (8 meter)
diameter Safe Smart Circle around the pilot. It also
creates a geo-fence that keeps the aircraft from
traveling farther than 300 feet (91 meters)
from the pilot’s position.
SMART CIRCLE
When Watch Me is enabled, the 4K camera and
aircraft automatically adjust to keep the pilot holding
the ST10+ in focus and in frame no matter which
way the drone is maneuvered by the pilot.
