Information required by E.P.A. (US)
The level of noise entering a person’s ear, when hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated
by the di󰀨erence between the A weighted environmental noise level and the NRR.
Example:
1. The environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92 dBA.
2. The NRR is 25 decibels (dB).
3. The level of noise entering the ear is approximately equal to 67 dB.
Caution
For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz the C-weighted environmental noise level
shall be used.
Warning
Improper t of this device will reduce its e󰀨ectiveness in attenuating noise. Although hearing protectors can be
recommended for protection against the harmful e󰀨ects of impulsive noise, the noise reduction rating (NRR)
is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be accurate indicator of the protection attainable
against impulsive noise such as gunre.
USER INSTRUCTIONS FOR AM/FM RADIO, LEVEL DEPENDENT & EXT. AUDIO INPUT

speakers to maximum 82 dB(A) at the ear.
Pairing with other Bluetooth® unit
Pairing establishes a wireless link for communication between the units. Pairing is only needed once for each
pair of units. The headsets can store up to 8 di󰀨erent units in its memory.
1. Start the headset Bluetooth® function by pressing and holding down the Bluetooth® knob (A:14) (from
here on referred to as the BT knob) for 3 seconds. An audio signal with 4 ascending tones is heard in the
headset. The headset LED light (A:15) ashes red/blue to conrm pairing mode. Release the BT knob.
2. Start the Bluetooth® function on your phone (or other unit) and search for and connect to new unit. See the
user instruction for your phone (or other unit). Zekler 412 is shown in the phone’s display. If the phone requires
a PIN code, enter four zeros (0000).
3. An audio signal with 1 tone is heard in the headset when the link is established and ready for
communication. The headset LED ashes blue.

than 10 meters) to re-establish the link. A tone will be heard in the headset to conrm.
IMPORTANT!
12
Due to safety reasons, the volume of the AM/FM radio and music streaming is muted at an incoming
call or other communication from the connected unit.
The volume is reset automatically when the communication is ended.
Due to safety reasons, the volume of the Level Dependent function and external sound input is NOT
muted at incoming calls or other communication from the connected unit (if these functions are in
use).
Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones may cause hearing loss.
Some phones may not have access to all Bluetooth® functions. In that case these functions have to be
controlled directly on the phone.
The headset has the function “side-tone” which allows users to hear their own voice in the headset.
This improves communication in noisy environments and let users talk at a normal speech level.
Low battery warning
When the battery power is decreasing and approximately 5 % remains of maximum run time, an audio signal
of 5 shifting tones will be heard in the headset. The batteries should then be changed or charged as soon as
possible. The LED light ashes purple once and the headset will turn o󰀨 when the batteries are completely
drained.
Power save function
To avoid unintentionally drainage of the batteries, e.g. if the headset is left on after the working hours, the
headset will automatically be turned o󰀨 after 6 hours if no settings have been made within the 6-hour period.
Press and hold the BT knob for 3 seconds to restart the Bluetooth® function and resume the connection.
If the AM/FM radio or Level Dependent function was turned on, each individual volume control (A:12, A:10)
must be turned o󰀨 and then on again.
Exchange the batteries
The headset can run on both rechargeable and disposable batteries of AA type (LR6/HR6). Make sure you
only use specied battery types. Warning! If other battery types than specied are used, risk of explosion may
occur. Dispose used batteries according to local regulations.
