The headsets noise suppressed boom microphone provides clear communication even at high noise
levels.

- To achieve optimal comfort and best effect from this hearing protector, you must use, maintain and
adjust the protector according to the following instructions.
- Ear muffs, and in particular cushions, may deteriorate with use and should be examined at
frequent intervals for cracking and leakage,
- Use of perspiration/hygienic protection over the sealing rings can reduce the hearing protector’s noise
attenuation properties.
- Certain chemical substances can have a destructive effect on this product. More information is
available from the manufacturer.
- The hearing protector’s noise attenuating properties can dramatically decrease with usage of for
example, thick eyeglass frames, ski masks/balaclavas, etc. Brush away all hair from the ears and place

enclosed by the earmuffs and that you have even pressure around the ears.
Headband SLF&
Adjust the protector to its largest size and put it on your head. Adjust the band so that the protector rests
lightly against the crown of your head.
Helmet/Cap mount SLF'
- Push the helmet mount into the helmet’s slot attachment until it snaps into place.
- Place the earmuffs over the ears and press inwards until you hear a click.Adjust the earmuffs so that

Care
Clean with mild soap. You must be sure that the detergent you use does not irritate the skin. The hearing
protector must be stored dry and clean, e.g. in its original packaging for example. Do not dip the
product in water!
Warning!
If the instructions above are not followed, the noise attenuation could drastically decrease.
The hearing protector must always be used in noisy environments to provide full protection effect!
Only 100% wear time provides full protection.

On/Off Volume Radio

In the event of poor reception conditions, the radio automatically switches from stereo to mono mode to
maintain optimal audio quality.
Frequency/channel selector

Level Dependent “Active listening”
The hearing protector is equipped with Level Dependent “Active listening”. Check that the function is
operable before using the unit. If interference or faults occur, consult the manufacturer’s instructions on
maintenance and battery replacement.
Warning! The sound from the Level Dependent “Active listening” on the hearing protector can exceed
the external noise level.
On/Off Volume Level Dependent function

Both functions have individual volume control. Adjust the volume to the desired level.
External audio input $
The hearing protector is equipped with an electronic audio input. You can connect a com-radio, MP3

Check that the function is operable before using the unit. If interference or faults occur, consult the
manufacturer.
Warning! Connection of an external audio source can entail a sound level that exceeds the daily
permitted exposure level.
NOTE! The volume function (A:12 or A:10) must be turned on when using the external audio input.

Pairing establishes a wireless link for communication between the units. Pairing is only needed once for
each pair of units. The headsets can store up to 8 different units in its memory.

best noise suppression and clear speech intelligibility.

Most phones send their own call signal to the headset. If not, 4 shifting tones are heard in the headset
at incoming calls.

Most phones that support voice controlled dialing will send an acknowledgment signal when to speak
your voice dial command.
Transferring calls to/from a phone.

Adjusting the volume during an ongoing call.
1. Increase the volume by turning the BT knob clockwise.
2. Decrease the volume by turning the BT knob counter clockwise.
The headset has the function “adaptive volume control” which adjusts the incoming communication/
speach volume to the ambient sound level. This means that the users themselves do not need to adjust
the volume when working in irregual ambient sound levels. The volume adjusts relative to the originally
set volume level.

IMPORTANT!
Due to safety reasons, the volume of the FM radio and music streaming is muted at an incoming
call or other communication from the connected unit.
The volume is reset automatically when the communication is ended.
Due to safety reasons, the volume of the Level Dependent function and external sound input is
NOT muted at incoming calls or other communication from the connected unit (if these functions
are in use).
Some phones may not have access to all Bluetooth® functions. In that case these functions have
to be controlled directly on the phone.
The headset has the function “side-tone” which allows users to hear their own voice in the

Low battery warning
When the battery power is decreasing and approximatly 5 % remains of maximum run time, an audio
signal of 5 shifting tones will be heard in the headset. The batteries should then be changed or charged

Power save function.
To avoid unintentionally drainage of the batteries, e.g. if the headset is left on after the working day, the
headset will automatically be turned off after 6 hours if no settings have been made within the 6 hour
period.
Press and hold the BT knob for 3 seconds to restart the Bluetooth® function and resume the connection.
