General Power Tool Safety Instructions
Warning! Read all safety directions and instructions.
Omissions in the compliance with safety directions and instructions can cause electrical
shock, fire and/or severe injuries.
Retain all safety directions and instructions for future use.
The term “Power Tools” used in the safety instructions refers to electric-operated
power tools (with power cord) and to battery-operated power tools (without power
cord).
Work Area Safety
1. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
2. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes. Do not
operate power tool around explosive gases, which include the presence of
flammable liquids or dust.
3. Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control during operation.
Electrical Safety
1. Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way.
Do not use any adapter plugs with grounded power tools. Unmodified plugs
and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
2. Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges
and refrigerators. There is increased risk of electric shock if your body is
grounded.
3. Do not expose power tool to rain or wet conditions. ater entering a power
tool will increase the risk of electric shock and damage to the tool including
the battery.
4. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging
the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock. Threading
power cord through a picking sleeve will prevent the cord tangling or getting cut.
5. hen operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for
outdoor use. Use of a suitable cord for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric
shock.
6. If charging the tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current
device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric
shock.

Power Tool Use Safety
1. Don’t overload tool by using outside the designed operation specifications.
2. Don’t attempt to use tool if the power switch doesn’t work. Contact your local
authorized repair center for repair immediately.
3. Disconnect tool from power source before adjusting, repair, or storage of tool.
4. Store tool away from children or untrained operators.
5. Keep tool properly maintained. Always inspect the tool’s moving parts; any
damaged parts can cause injury.
6. Keep blade sharp and clean. Sharp and clean blades allow tool to operate at
optimum performance, reducing the risk of injury to self and tool.
7. Read and understand the manual before using tool. Understanding the manual
allows the operator to select the best tool and right accessory, avoiding injury
and damage to tool.
Notice for using cordless tools
1. Switch battery to off position before connecting to tool. Connecting tool to the
battery while turned on will damage the tool and battery.
2. Tool is designed to be used only with original charger. Using any other charger
will result in damage.
3. Tool is designed to be used only with original battery. Using any other battery
will result in damage.
4. Store battery away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or any other small
metal parts. A short circuited battery will cause fire and damage.
5. Leakage of liquid from battery touching skin will cause burning. Flush with clean
water immediately. If liquid touches eyes, contact Doctor immediately.

objects such as trellis wire etc.
e. hen operating the electric pruner always hold with both hands at a safe
distance away from your body.
f. Do not use tool in the vicinity of flammable liquids or gasses. Fire and
explosion risk exist in the event of a short circuit.
g. Check the blades for wear in regular intervals and sharpened. Dull blades
will overload the machine resulting in damage which is not covered by
warranty.
h. Do not attempt to repair the tool yourself. First, check Troubleshooting
on page 15. If determined a serious repair is needed- contact Dealer.
Special Safety Instructions for Battery Operated Tools：

SCA2 and SCA3 batteries are not interchangeable!
a. Switch should be in the “off” position before inserting battery. Equipment will
become damaged if the switch is in the “on” position.
b. Charger designed for use indoors only.
c. Disconnect power to charger when cleaning contacts to avoid damage.
d. Don’t place battery in bright light or on hot surface. It is possible for the battery
to explode.
e. After pruning, let the battery cool down before charging.
f. Don’t take battery apart to avoid damaging the battery or injury to self.
g. Don’t use recycled batteries.

Using Charger Correctly：

a. Use original charger with rechargeable battery only. Other alternative chargers and
batteries can cause fire or explosion.
b. Always check charger, wire and plug before using. Don’t use damaged charger or
repair yourself for safety reasons.
c. Voltage of charger must match your battery; if not same voltage damage will occur.
d. Disconnect charger before connecting and turning on the ePruner.
e. Keep charger clean and away from moist or rainy environment. Don’t use the charger
outdoors as dirt or water will cause damage.
f. The charger is designed for original battery only.
g. Avoid using a damaged charger as it will cause damage.
h. Don’t use charger on flammable surface (e.g. paper or dry goods).
i. Damaged wiring must be replaced.
j. Fully charge battery 4-5 hours before using tool for the first time. Connect the battery
to charger and completely charge the battery before powering on.
k. To prevent damage, disconnect charger from battery when fully charged.
l. Normal charging time is 4-5 hours. Charger LED will indicate a green when the
battery is done drawing a charge and is completely charged and red while charging.

g. Using tool for extended periods of time or in an irrational way may cause

Don’t touch blade with anything other than what you intend to cut when using tool
to avoid injury.
Check blade for sharpness and sharpen blade before use. A dull blade may damage
tool which will not be covered under warranty.

Designed Purpose of Tool ：
The Zenport ePruner is designed for cutting plants, vines, brush and branches. Cutting any
other material may cause damage to tool and/or yourself. Tool is designed for adult use only.
Pruner Diagram and Description ：
This tool features blades that are made of SK5 Japanese steel. The upper and lower covers are
made of a very light but strong magnesium alloy which lends itself to a lighter design for
easy single hand operation. This robust design let’s you use the tool safely with easy
operation and efficiency. If any abnormal operation occurs; just release the trigger and the
blade will open to normal resting position.
