STEP ONE

Assemble Mailbox Post & Arm
Slide the arm down the post from the top as illustrated.
Orientate correctly to receive newspaper.
Align screw holes in arm with screw holes in post and
secure with 2, 1 1/4” screws on either side of the post.
Tip!
Shine a LED light from a smart phone or a flashlight down
the end of the post to help identify alignment of pre-drilled
holes if necessary
Slide trim cap into position under arm as illustrated.
Install a 1 1/4” screw as illustrated beneath trim cap. This
will prevent trim cap from sliding down the post.

Install Pipe
Using a sledge hammer, drive the pipe into the ground until
the bottom of the plastic gear is just above the ground. This is
the maximum depth. If your ground is too hard, just drive the
pipe until it feels secure in the ground. In some ground
conditions, this could be as little as 18”.
Please check level in both directions at about 6” intervals as
you pound the pipe into the ground. Usually, after the pipe is
about 18” into the ground, the trajectory of the pipe is
established and you cannot pull the pipe back into level.
Once the pipe has been installed into the ground,
measure the distance from the ground to the middle
of the top donut. You will need this measurement for
future installation of screws in step 3.

compensate for crooked pipe.

Install vinyl post over donuts.

Adjust bottom and top donuts into level to compensate for
crooked pipe.
Slide assembled vinyl post down over donuts as per the next
step.

If your ground is dry and hard, use a claw hammer to loosen
2” or 3“ of dirt around the base of the pipe as illustrated.
This will allow the external vinyl post to easily insert itself
into the the ground in step 3 below.

Install Mailbox over Pipe
Orient vinyl post correctly and slide the assembled mailbox
post over the pipe and down into the ground at least 3”
Slide the base moulding down to the ground as illustrated.

Install Mailbox over Pipe (Continued)
Fasten 2, 1” screws through the back of the mailbox post as
shown.
Screw should be approximately 21 5/8” from the ground as per
Step 3 on page 3 and 1/2” apart.
Install top post cap. Push down on cap to lock it to vinyl post.
