Replace Control Unit
Zündapp Z808
These brief instructions should help you to replace the control unit on your bike. To
do this, please proceed as follows:
First unlock the battery lock with the key provided and
remove the battery from the battery holder.
Dismantle the upper battery mount. To do this, you
must completely unscrew five screws with a standard
screwdriver.
You can then remove the upper battery mount from
the frame.
Let them hang down the frame temporarily.
Dismantle the lower battery holder. To do this, you
have to completely unscrew three screws with a
standard screwdriver.

Replace Conrol Unit

Use a narrow slotted screwdriver to remove the lower
battery holder from the frame.
Pull the power supply cables (red and black cables)
down slightly out of the frame opening and unplug
this connection. In order to pull out the cables
downwards, it is helpful if you push these cables from
above.
Disconnect the motor cable plug connections and pull
it completely down and out of the frame so that you
have more space for the next step. Pull the plug
connection between the control unit and the wiring
harness down out of the frame far enough so that you
can unplug it (you will find information on the pin
assignment at the end of these instructions).
Pull the control unit up out of the frame
and connect the cables 1 to 1 from the
old to the new control unit.

Now place the new control unit in the frame and assemble all other components in
reverse order.
