Safety
Please carefully read these operating instruc-
tions in their entirety before using the kitchen
scale. Keep this user manual in a safe place.
If you give the kitchen scale away, be sure that
you include this manual with it.
Failure to comply with these operating instruc-
tions can lead to personal injury or damage
to the appliance. Zwilling does not accept
any liability for damage caused by a failure to
comply to these operating instructions.
Information that is important to your safety is
specially marked. Please be sure to observe
these instructions in order to avoid accidents
and damage to the appliance.
Safety information
The kitchen scale (hereinafter referred to as
the “appliance”) is exclusively designed to
weigh food and small household objects
that weigh 10kg/22 lb or less.
Any other use is considered improper
and may result in property damage.
The appliance is intended for domestic
use. It is not intended for commercial use.
Certain people should use with caution:
This appliance may be used by children
age 8 and above, by those with reduced
physical, sensory, or mentalcapacity, and
by those with a lack of experience and
knowledge, providing such children and
individuals are supervised or have been
instructed on how to use the appliance
safely and they understand all of the pos-
sible hazards that could result from using
the appliance.
Children must not play with the ap-
pliance. Children must not clean or
maintain the appliance without proper
supervision.
Keep children away from the packaging
material. It poses a suffocation risk.
A faulty appliance can cause damage
and injuries:
Always check the appliance for damage
before use. If you detect any transport
damage, immediately contact the dealer
from whom you purchased the appli-
ance. Never use an appliance that is
defective.
If the appliance is defective, it must be
repaired. The appliance does not con-
tain any parts that you are able to repair
yourself.
Incorrect handling of the appliance can
result in damage.
Place the appliance on a dry, even, non-
slip surface.
Do not place the appliance on hot
surfaces or in close proximity to strong
sources of heat.
Always switch the appliance off before
cleaning it.
Never immerse the appliance in water
or other liquids.

Never leave the charger cable dangling
over an edge while charging the appli-
ance, and always disconnect the charg-
er cable as soon as the appliance is fully
charged.
Store the appliance in a dry place,
away from direct sunlight.
Never use the appliance as a surface
area on which to place objects when not
in use.
The appliance contains a permanent
battery. Improper use will cause a fire
hazard:
Always recharge the battery in the appli-
ance using the charger cable supplied.
Never attempt to remove the battery
from the appliance in order to charge it.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised
while charging.
Never short-circuit the appliance or ex-
pose it to naked flames.
Never open the appliance or take any
other action that may destroy it.

Before first use/Charging the battery
Before using the scale for the first time or when the battery is low, you will need to charge the
battery using the supplied USB charger cable. To do this, connect the charger cable to a power
source (e.g. computer, USB charger) via a USB port. When the display flashes, charging is com-
plete.

Switching on and using the appliance
To switch on the scale, place it on an even surface and press the control panel. As soon as the
weight on the display reads zero, the scale is ready for use. If you want to weigh items in a bowl
or other container, you must either place the container on the scale before switching it on or tap
the control panel before weighing to reset it to zero.
While the appliance is

Switching the weight display
To switch the weight display from grams to pounds or vice-versa, press the unit select button on
the bottom of the scale after switching it on. The selected unit of measurement will be shown on
the display.

Weighing multiple ingredients (tare function)
To weigh multiple ingredients in succession, the first ingredient per usual then tap on the control
panel. When you add your next ingredient, the weight of this ingredient will be shown on the
display. Tap the control panel before adding each new ingredient to reset the display to zero. As
long as the “O” symbol is still shown on the display, you can add up to 10 kg/22 lb
in weight.
The appliance will remember
the last unit of measurement
you used after you have
switched it off.
Once the total weight on the scale reaches 400 g/14
oz or above or above, a “T” symbol will appear on
the display. If you tap on the button, the display will
then show the total weight. Tap again to return to the
normal display.

To turn off the scale, press your finger on the control panel until the display switches off. The
scale is now turned off.

Clean the scale using a damp, lint-free cloth.

La balance de cuisine (ci-après appelée
«l’appareil») sert exclusivement à peser
des denrées alimentaires et de petits
objets pesant jusqu’à 10 kg, pour l’usage
domestique.
Toute autre utilisation est considérée
comme non conforme et peut causer des
dommages matériels.
L’appareil est conçu pour une utilisation
domestique, non pour une utilisation com-
merciale.
Il existe un risque accru pour certaines
personnes:
Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des
enfants ayant au moins 8 ans ainsi que
pardes personnes souffrant de déficiences
physiques, sensorielles ou mentales ou
manquant d’expérience et/ou de connais-
sances, si ces personnes sont surveillées
ou ont reçu des instructions concernant
l’utilisation sûre de l’appareil et qu’elles ont
compris les risques qui en résultent.
Les enfants ne doivent pas jouer avec l’ap-
pareil. Le nettoyage et la maintenance ne
doivent pas être effectués par des enfants
sans surveillance.
Gardez les enfants à distance des ma-
tériaux d’emballage. Il existe un risque
d’asphyxie.
Un appareil défectueux peut provoquer
des dommages matériels et des blessures:
Vérifiez avant chaque utilisation que
l’appareil n’est pas endommagé. Si vous
constatez des dommages dus au transport,
contactez immédiatement le revendeur
auprès duquel vous avez acheté l’appareil.
N’utilisez jamais un appareil défectueux.
En cas de défaut, l’appareil doit être répa-
ré. L’appareil ne comporte pas de compo-
sants que vous pouvez réparer vous-même.
Une mauvaise manipulation de l’appareil

chaude ou à proximité de fortes sources
de chaleur.
Éteignez l’appareil avant le nettoyage.

l’utilisez pas comme surface pour stocker

L’appareil contient une batterie rechar-
geable intégrée. En cas de manipulation
incorrecte, il existe un risque d’incendie:
Chargez la batterie rechargeable unique-
ment dans l’appareil, à l’aide du câble
dechargement fourni. Ne démontez pas
la batterie rechargeable.
Ne laissez jamais l’appareil sans surveil-

Avant la première utilisation/chargement de la batterie
Avant la première utilisation et lorsque la batterie est vide, vous devez charger la batterie à
l’aide du câble de chargement USB fourni avec la balance. Pour ce faire, vous devez connecter
le câble de chargement à un port USB d’une source d’alimentation (p.ex. ordinateur, chargeur
USB). La batterie est chargée dès que l’affichage clignote.

Mise en marche et utilisation
Pour allumer la balance, placez-la sur une surface plane et appuyez sur le panneau de com-
mande. Dès que l’affichage indique un poids de zéro, la balance est prête et peut être chargée.
Vous devez placer un récipient de pesage sur la balance avant de l’allumer ou mettre à zéro
l’affichage en appuyant brièvement sur le panneau de commande avant de peser.
Pendant la durée du pro-
cessus de chargement, un
segment de l’affichage se
déplace de droite à gauche.

Commutation de l’affichage du poids
Pour passer de l’affichage en grammes à l’affichage en livres et onces ou vice versa, appuyez
sur le sélecteur des unités situé sous la balance après l’avoir allumée. L’unité de mesure sélec-
tionnée s’affiche à l’écran.

Pesée de plusieurs ingrédients (fonction tare)
Pour peser plusieurs ingrédients les uns après les autres, pesez le premier ingrédient, puis appuyez
brièvement sur le panneau de commande. Lorsque vous ajoutez l’ingrédient suivant, le poids
dunouvel ingrédient s’affiche. Appuyez brièvement sur le panneau de commande avant chaque
nouvel ingrédient pour remettre l’affichage à zéro. Tant que le symbole «O» s’affiche à l’écran,
vous pouvez encore peser jusqu’à 10 kg.
L’unité réglée est conservée
même après la mise à l’arrêt.
Si le poids total dépasse 400 g, le symbole «T»
s’affiche à l’écran. Appuyez brièvement sur la touche
pour afficher le poids total, puis appuyez de nouveau
sur la touche pour remettre l’affichage à zéro.

Mise à l’arrêt
Pour mettre la balance à l’arrêt, appuyez sur le panneau de commande pendant un moment.
Lorsque l’affichage s’éteint, la balance est éteinte.
