• If sound distortion increases or the volume becomes too weak, it is time to charge or replace
the batteries. Never replace or insert batteries with the unit switched on. Ensure that the

USAGE/FUNCTIONS
Turning the adapter On or Off
Press and hold the On/Off/Mode button (A:1) for two seconds to turn the adapter On or Off.
Bluetooth®
The adapter can be paired with and connected to a Bluetooth® device that supports the Hands-
free and/or Headset proles.
PTT functionality over the Bluetooth® protocol is compatible with PELTOR WS2, WS3 and WS5
headsets.
Pairing procedure
• Put the headset you want to connect to in pairing mode according to headset user instruc-
tions.
• Ensure that the adapter is charged and turned off.
• Press and hold the On/Off/Mode button (A:1) for ve seconds. This puts the adapter in pairing
mode, the On/Off/Mode button (A:1) will begin to ash rapidly.
• The adapter starts looking for PELTOR headsets and connects to the rst PELTOR headset
found. If no PELTOR
Headset is found within 30 sec, the adapter starts looking for other headsets.
• When pairing is complete and the headset is connected, the On/Off/Mode button (A:1)
ashes twice every 3 sec.
User menu
The user menu is entered by pressing the On/Off/Mode button (A:1) when device is powered on
and connected to a headset. Menu commands will be sent from the adapter over the Bluetooth®
protocol and can be heard as a voice guide in a connected headset.
The last settings are stored when the adapter is switched off.
The menu has the following options:
Automatic power off
• Off (Automatic power off feature is disabled)
• 2 hours (Automatic power off after 2 hours)
• 8 hours (Automatic power off after 8 hours)
Battery type
Use this setting to specify the battery type:
• Alkaline
• Rechargeble

Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
The expected battery life may vary depending on the brand of batteries and the temperature in
which the adapter is used. Low battery level is indicated by a ghost voice saying: “adapter low
battery”.
The adapter functions will not work optimally if the battery level is low.
Typical battery life time with 2xAAAlkaline batteries is 29 h.
Reset to factory default
A reset to factory default is achieved by pressing and holding the Bluetooth® button (A:2) for 2
sec. in this menu stage. This resets the device to factory default, and removes all paired devices.
A reset to factory default can also be achieved without having to enter the menu. This is done by
pressing both buttons for 10 sec until the adapter switches off again.
STORAGE
Do not store the adapter at temperatures exceeding +55°C (131°F), for example on a dashboard
or windowsill. Do not store the adapter at temperatures below –20°C (-4°F).
Remove the batteries when storing the adapter for a long time. Check the functionality of the unit
after replacing the batteries.
CLEANING/DISPOSAL
Use a cloth wetted with soap and warm water to clean the adapter.
NOTE! Do not immerse in water or uids.

UTILISATION / FONCTIONS
Marche/Arrêt de l’adaptateur
Appuyez sur le bouton On/Off/Mode (A:1) et le maintenir ainsi pendant deux secondes pour
activer ou désactiver
l’adaptateur.
Bluetooth®
L’adaptateur peut être appairé et connecté à un appareil Bluetooth® prenant en charge les
prols mains libres et/ou casque.
La fonction PTT via le protocole Bluetooth® est compatible avec les casques PELTOR WS2,
WS3 et WS5.
Procédure d’appairage
• Mettez le casque d’écoute auquel vous voulez vous connecter en mode d’appairage selon les
instructions de l’utilisateur.
• Assurez-vous que l’adaptateur est chargé et éteint.
• Appuyez sur le bouton On/Off/Mode (A:1) et le maintenir ainsi pendant 5 secondes. Cela
met l’adaptateur en mode d’appairage et le bouton On/Off/Mode (A:1) commence à clignoter
rapidement.
• L’adaptateur commence à chercher des casques PELTOR et se connecte au premier casque
PELTOR trouvé. Si aucun casque PELTOR n’est détecté dans les 30 secondes, l’adaptateur
commence à chercher d’autres casques.
• Lorsque l’appairage est terminé et que le casque est branché, le boutonOn/Off/Mode (A:1)
clignote deux fois toutes les 3 secondes.
Menu Utilisateur
On entre dans le menu Utilisateur en appuyant sur le bouton On/Off/Mode (A:1) lorsque l’ap-
pareil est sous tension et connecté à un casque. Les commandes de menu sont envoyées par
l’adaptateur via le protocole Bluetooth® et peuvent être entendues comme guide vocal dans un
casque connecté.
Les derniers réglages sont enregistrés lorsque l’adaptateur est éteint.
Le menu offre les options suivantes:
Automatic power off (Arrêt automatique)
• Off (La fonction d’arrêt automatique est désactivée)
• 2 hours (Arrêt automatique après 2 heures)
• 8 hours (Arrêt automatique après 8 heures)
Battery type (Type de piles/batteries)
Utilisez ce paramètre pour spécier le type de pile :

ATTENTION : La batterie risque de ne pas être rechargée si la température ambiante
dépasse 45 °C ou +113 °F.
Risque d’explosion si la batterie est remplacée par une batterie autre que celle prescrite.
La durée de vie attendue des piles peut varier selon leur marque et la température d’utilisation
de l’adaptateur. Si le niveau des piles est faible, un message vocal indique : « adapter low
battery » (adaptateur batterie faible).
Les fonctions de l’adaptateur ne seront pas exploitées de manière optimale si le niveau des piles
est faible.
La durée de vie normale de la batterie avec les piles alcalines 2xAA est de 29 h.
Reset to factory default (Réinitialisation aux paramètres d’usine)
Une réinitialisation à la valeur par défaut est obtenue en appuyant sur le bouton Bluetooth®
(A:2) pendant 2 secondes dans cette étape de menu. Cela permet de réinitialise l’appareil aux
paramètres par défaut et supprime tous les appareils couplés. Une réinitialisation aux valeurs
par défaut d’usine peut également être obtenue sans avoir à entrer dans le menu. Pour ce faire,
appuyez sur les deux boutons pendant 10 secondes jusqu’à ce que l’adaptateur s’arrête de
nouveau.
STOCKAGE
Ne pas entreposer l’adaptateur à des températures dépassant + 55 °C (131 °F), par exemple sur
un tableau de bord ou un rebord de fenêtre. Ne pas entreposer l’adaptateur à des températures
inférieures à –20 °C (–4 °F).
Retirez les piles lorsque vous stockez l’adaptateur pendant une période prolongée. Vériez le
fonctionnement de l’unité après avoir remplacé les piles.
NETTOYAGE / MISE AU REBUT
Nettoyez régulièrement l’adaptateur à l’aide de savon et d’eau chaude.
REMARQUE : ne plongez aucun élément dans de l’eau ou d’autres liquides.

GEBRAUCH/FUNKTIONEN
Ein- und Ausschalten des Adapters
Zum Ein- oder Ausschalten des Adapters die On/Off/Mode-Taste (A:1) zwei Sekunden lang
drücken.
Bluetooth®
Der Adapter kann mit Bluetooth®-Geräten synchronisiert und verbunden werden, die Handsfree-
und/oder Headset-Prole unterstützen.
Die PTT-Funktion über das Bluetooth®-Protokoll ist kompatibel mit den Headsets PELTOR WS2,
WS3 und WS5.
Synchronisation
• Das Headset, mit dem eine Verbindung aufgebaut werden soll, gemäß der Bedienungsanlei-
tung des Headsets in den Synchronisationsmodus bringen.
• Kontrollieren, ob der Adapter aufgeladen und ausgeschaltet ist.
• Die On/Off/Mode-Taste (A:1) fünf Sekunden lang drücken. Sobald der Adapter im Synchroni-
sationsmodus ist, beginnt die On/Off/Mode-Taste (A:1) schnell zu blinken.
• Der Adapter sucht nun nach PELTOR-Headsets und baut zum ersten, das er ndet, eine
Verbindung auf. Wenn der Adapter innerhalb von 30 Sekunden kein PELTOR-Headset ndet,
sucht er stattdessen nach anderen Headsets.
• Wenn die Synchronisation erfolgreich erfolgt und eine Verbindung zum Headset hergestellt ist,
blinkt die
On/Off/Mode-Taste (A:1) alle drei Sekunden zwei Mal.
Benutzermenü
Das Benutzermenü wird durch Drücken der On/Off/Mode-Taste (A:1) aufgerufen, wenn das
Gerät eingeschaltet und mit einem Headset verbunden ist. Menübefehle werden vom Adapter
über das Bluetooth®-Protokoll gesendet und sind als Sprachmitteilungen im angeschlossenen
Headset zu hören.
Beim Ausschalten des Adapters werden jeweils die letzten Einstellungen gespeichert.
Das Menü enthält folgende Optionen:

Die Batterielebensdauer kann je nach Fabrikat und der Umgebungstemperatur, bei der das
Produkt benutzt wird, variieren. Eine Sprachmitteilung weist darauf hin, dass die Batteriekapazi-
tät nachlässt: „adapter low battery“ (Adapter – niedrige Batteriespannung).
Bei niedriger Batteriespannung funktioniert der Adapter nicht optimal.
Mit 2xAA alkalischen Batterien beträgt die Betriebsdauer normalerweise 29 h.
Reset to factory default (Zurücksetzen auf werkseitige Standardeinstellung)
Das Zurücksetzen auf werkseitige Standardeinstellungen erfolgt durch zwei Sekunden langes
Drücken der Bluetooth®-
Taste (A:2) in diesem Menüpunkt. Damit wird das Gerät auf die werkseitigen Standardeinstel-
lungen zurückgesetzt und alle synchronisierten Geräte werden gelöscht. Das Zurücksetzen
auf die werkseitigen Standardeinstellungen kann auch vorgenommen werden, ohne das Menü
aufzurufen. Dazu werden beide Tasten 10 Sekunden lang gedrückt, bis sich der Adapter wieder
ausschaltet.
AUFBEWAHRUNG
Den Adapter nicht bei Temperaturen über +55 °C (131 °F) aufbewahren, wie sie z. B. hinter
einem Fenster oder einer
Windschutzscheibe erreicht werden können. Den Adapter nicht bei Temperaturen unter –20 °C
(–4 °F) aufbewahren.
Wenn der Adapter längere Zeit aufbewahrt werden soll, die Batterien herausnehmen. Nach dem
Batteriewechsel die Funktionen testen.
REINIGUNG/ENTSORGUNG
Den Adapter mit einem mit warmen Seifenwasser angefeuchteten Tuch reinigen.

Batterien oder Batteriepacks müssen die lokalen Vorschriften zur Entsorgung fester Abfallstoffe
beachtet werden. Ergänzend ist 3M in den USA und in Kanada eine
Partnerschaft mit Call2Recycle (RBRC) eingegangen, um Recyclingdienste anbieten zu können,
die sicherstellen sollen, dass die wiederauadbaren Batterien in unseren Produkten ordnungsge-
