1. Safety Instructions
ATTENTION! Read these Operating Instructions carefully before plugging
in and operating the unit! As with all technical units, the trouble-free
function and safe operation of this unit can be assured only if standard
safety procedures and the special safety instructions in these Operating
Instructions are observed.
3M Deutschland GmbH guarantees trouble-free operation of
the Pentamix system only if 3M system components are used
exclusively.
1. The unit may be used only in strict accordance with the following
instructions.We accept no liability for any damage arising from any
other or improper use of this unit.
2. If the unit is moved from a cold into a warm environment,
condensation can result in a hazardous situation. Never begin
operating the unit until it has reached the ambient temperature.
3. The power plug must be connected to a suitably grounded socket
before the unit is operated. If an extension cable is used, make sure
that it also provides a ground wire.
4. Position the unit so that the power plug is accessible at all times.
5. The unit must be placed on a non-slip, level surface to insure stable
placement.
6. Always turn off the unit and disconnect the plug from the power
source before changing the plunger discs.
7. When changing the plunger discs, position the smooth side of the
new discs towards the foil bag (the opposite side of the discs with
the fan-shaped depressions must face away). Otherwise, the foil bag
might be damaged.
8. To avoid electrical shock, do not insert any objects into the unit.
9. Use only genuine 3M parts when replacing defective components as
directed in these Operating Instructions. We assume no liability for
any damage caused by the use of non-3M parts.
10. If, for any reason, it is possible that the safety of a unit has been
compromised, that unit must be removed from operation and
identified in such a way that it is not inadvertently operated again by
a third party. Safety may have been compromised, for example, if the
unit does not work as specified or is visibly damaged.
11. Keep solvents, flammable liquids, and powerful heat sources away
from the unit as they may damage the plastic housing.
12. Do not allow any cleaning agents to enter the unit during cleaning as
they could cause an electrical short or a dangerous malfunction.
13. Only a properly trained, authorized technician may open the unit
housing and repair the unit.
Please report a serious incident occurring in relation to the device to 3M
and the local competent authority (EU) or local regulatory authority.
2. Product Description
Pentamix™Lite is an automatic mixing unit for the preparation of Penta™
impression materials. 3M Penta impression materials have been specifi-
cally designed for this unit and are supplied in special foil bags.
This is
the only form of packaging which can be used in the Pentamix Lite
units.
Every Penta™foil bag is sealed with a PentaMatic sealing cap. The
external geometry of the sealing cap insures its proper positioning on the
cartridge. When the Pentamix unit is turned on, a special internal device
opens the foil bag automatically once sufficient pressure has been built
up by the plunger. The connection pieces located on the PentaMatic
sealing caps serve for proper attachment of the mixing tip.
The cartridges and the PentaMatic sealing caps act together as a
stable unit for the preparation of pastes in the Pentamix unit and allow
a change of products without intermediate cleaning of the device and

with no loss of paste. Do not operate the Pentamix Lite unit using any
elements other than Penta™cartridges for Pentamix Lite and Penta™
Mixing Tips - Red.
Thanks to the integrated swivel mechanism and carrying handle, the
Pentamix Lite mixing unit can be folded into a compact bundle for simple
transport.
These Instructions for Use should be kept for the duration of product
use. The product may only be used when the product labeling is clearly
readable. For details on all additionally mentioned products please refer
to the corresponding Instructions for Use.

Intended users: educated dental professionals, e.g. general dentists,
dental assistants, dental hygienists, who have theoretical and practical
knowledge on usage of dental products.

4. Installation
!!Prior to installing the unit, make sure the power supply
corresponds to the supply quoted on the rating plate of
the unit.
!!In order to work with the unit, the power plug must be connected
into a suitably grounded socket. In case of using an extension cable,
make sure that the ground line is not interrupted.
쐌Pentamix Lite can be placed on any non-skid flat surface.The unit is
ready for operation as soon as the power cable has been plugged into
an electrical outlet and the power switch has been turned on.
쐌The Pentamix Lite mixing unit can be permanently left in operational
mode. Power consumption in the standby mode is extremely low
(<1 W).
5. Operation
5.1 Swiveling the Unit into Working Position
!!Safe and correct operation of the Pentamix Lite is assured only when
it is in working position.When swiveling the unit, use caution to avoid
the possibility of injury from jamming or crushing your fingers.
왘With one hand, slowly tip the mixing apparatus of the Pentamix Lite
mixing unit forward from the horizontal park position until it audibly
snaps into the working position (Fig.1).
왘Do not push the unit beyond the final position as this could lead to
technical problems.
5.2 Loading the Cartridge
Please carry out the steps in the following sequence exactly.
왘Have ready one foil bag of base paste and one of catalyst paste as
well as a matching 3M Penta cartridge for Pentamix Lite.
왘Insert the foil bags into the unlocked cartridge (Fig. 2).
왘The locating lugs make sure they are correctly seated.
왘Press down on the cartridge locking lever (Fig. 3) until it audibly clicks
into place.
5.3 Inserting the Cartridge
왘Take the cartridge in your left hand.
왘Turn the plunger adjustment knob clockwise with your right hand until
it stops and hold it in place. The plungers are now in the uppermost
position.
왘Place the cartridge into the unit.
왘Rotate the plunger adjustment knob anticlockwise until the plungers
markedly touch the foil bags (Fig. 5).
!!The unit cannot be activated
until the plungers touch the
foil bags.
왘Attach a mixing tip prior to begin mixing (see Section 5.4).
5.4 Attaching the Mixing Tip.
Always Attach a Mixing Tip Before Use!
Foil bags equipped with a PentaMatic sealing cap may be used
exclusively with 3M Penta mixing tips.
왘Release the lock (Fig. 6).
왘First, place the mixing tip only on the tip of the mixing shaft (Fig. 7).
Turn slightly to align the mixing tip with the corresponding outflow
openings of the foil bags (Fig. 8). Attach the mixing tip and press down
firmly to insure that the mixing tip is seated tightly on the outflow
openings (Fig. 9).
왘Press the locking lever down until it audibly clicks into place (Fig.10).
5.5 Starting a New Cartridge
왘Press the green “Start” button on the cartridge (Fig.11).
왘When a new pair of foil bags is started, you must wait 15
- 25 sec.
until pressure has built up in the cartridge; the foil bags will then
open automatically.
Once the bags are open, one of the two pastes, which are of different
colors, may flow out first, producing an uneven mixture. For this reason,
observe the flow of the two pastes, discard any uneven
mixture, and do not apply the paste until the mixture shows a
homogeneous color (Fig.12).
왘After mixing, leave the mixing tip on the cartridge as a seal!
5.6 Loading the Impression Tray and Penta Elastomer
Syringe
왘Press the green “Start” button on the cartridge.
Please note: A few seconds pass before the paste becomes visible in
the mixing tip.
The unit only functions as long as the “Start” button is held down.
As soon as the button is released, the paste does not flow any more.

When the “Start” button is released, the Pentamix Lite unit automatically
relieves the tension on the foil bags by withdrawing the plungers, which
is indicated audibly by the sound of the drive motor.
왘Tilt the tray to load it. Fill the tray bottom continually from one end
to the other, keeping the opening of the mixing tip immersed in the
impression material (Fig.13). If necessary, smooth the impression
material with a spatula.
A mixing tip may only be used as long as the mixing shaft inside the
mixer rotates smoothly. If the mixing procedure is interrupted for more
than 30 sec, the material inside the mixing tip begins to harden and a
new mixing tip must be assembled (refer to 5.4 “Attaching the Mixing
Tip”). If the mixer is operated while containing hardened material, the
catalyst nipple of the sealing cap can be damaged or may break away.
왘Put the Penta Elastomer Syringe (after removing the plunger) with its
rear opening directly onto the mixing tip and press the “Start” button
(Fig.14).
!!CAUTION: Not all Penta impression materials can
be syringed. Please refer to the instructions for use
of the respective product.
왘Cleaning the Penta Elastomer Syringe
Please refer to the pertinent Instructions for Use for information about
cleaning and disinfecting the Penta Elastomer Syringe.
5.7 Removing the Cartridge
!!Do not press the “Start”
button while removing
the cartridge!
왘Turn the plunger adjustment knob anticlockwise with your right hand
until it stops and hold it in place. The plungers are now in the upper-
most position.
왘Using your left hand, remove the cartridge from the device (Fig.15).
5.8 Re-starting a Partly Empty Cartridge
왘After prolonged storage (especially for silicones), use an instrument to
remove any plugs that may have formed from the outflow openings of
the foil bags.
왘It may be necessary to start the unit without a mixer to check the
paste flow.
왘Attach a new mixer and start the mixing procedure.
5.9 Replacing a Cartridge
If a cartridge is nearly empty, we recommend that you have a second
cartridge ready for use at hand so that you will be able to replace
the exhausted cartridge quickly. This cartridge should be prepared as
described under 5.5 “Starting a New Cartridge”.
Do not forget to move the plungers into contact with the bags!
Lifetime of the mixing tip: see 5.6.
5.10 Storage of Partially Used Cartridges
왘Foil bags which have been started and partially emptied must be
stored only in the cartridge and with attached and filled mixer.
왘Store any cartridges with partially used foil bags either horizontally
or with the mixers pointing down (Fig.16). If stored improperly, the
impression material may flow backwards, which would prolong the
restarting time or cause the base and catalyst pastes to mix.
왘When there is a partially used cartridge in the unit and it is in park
position, the plunger discs hold the foil bags in the cartridge. It is not
necessary to remove the cartridge before parking the unit.
5.11 Fill Level Gauge
The fill level gauge shows how much material remains in the foil bags
(Fig.17).
When the foil bags are completely empty, the red fill gauge marker
disappears, and the unit shuts off automatically.
5.12 Parking the Unit
The Pentamix Lite unit can easily be folded into a compact park position
when its operation is temporarily not required.
!!When swiveling the unit, use caution to
avoid the possibility of injury from jamming
or crushing your fingers.
왘Before tipping the mixing apparatus of the unit containing a cartridge,
always be sure that the plunger discs are in the cartridge and that
the mixing tip which has been used is still in place.The cartridge may
otherwise fall out of the unit and be damaged.
왘With one hand, slowly tip the mixing apparatus of the Pentamix Lite
mixing unit backward from the working position until it audibly snaps
into the park position (Fig.18).
왘Do not push the unit beyond the final position as this could lead to
technical problems.
5.13 Transporting the Unit
When in the park position, the Pentamix Lite unit can be easily transported
and stored.
!!When transporting the unit, use caution
to avoid the possibility of injury from jamming
or crushing your fingers.
왘Move the unit into the park position before transport; see 5.12.
왘Turn off the power switch on the Pentamix Lite unit and remove the
power cable from the unit.
왘Grasp the unit from the side with one hand (Fig. 20) and carry it using
the carrying handle in the housing (Fig.19).
5.14 Disposal of Consumable Materials
Dispose of used mixing tips and empty foil bags in residual waste.
Be sure to comply with local waste disposal regulations.
The used-off-packaging of the Penta base paste is subject to the EU
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) and must be
collected and disposed in the EU separately from other waste in accor-
dance with the local regulations for electric or electronic waste.
5.15 Return of Old Electric and Electronic Equipment
for Disposal
1. Collection
Users of electric and electronic equipment are required to collect their
old equipment separately from other waste in accordance with the
regulations of the specific country. Old electric and electronic equipment
must not be disposed of with unsorted household waste. This separate
collection is a prerequisite for recycling and reprocessing as an important
method for preserving environmental resources.
2. Return and Collection Systems
When your Pentamix Lite is no longer usable, do not dispose of the device
with household waste. 3M Deutschland GmbH has set up special disposal
facilities to handle the equipment. Details about the procedure for the
specific country can be obtained from the pertinent 3M subsidiary.
5.16 Notes
Before using the foil bag, record the batch data printed on the bag (batch
code, use-by date, 14-digit GTIN) for the office’s own documentation or
for questions to the manufacturer and archive the data so that they can
later be accessed at any time.
Penta Mixing Tips - Red are single-use devices and would be damaged
when removing set impression material.
Please keep the single-use accessory in the original bag to guarantee
the traceability of the batch.

6. Malfunctions and Error Messages
7.2 Care
Clean all components with a soft cloth and, if necessary, a mild cleaning
agent (e.g., dish-washing detergent). Solvents or abrasive cleaners may
not be used in any case, as they can damage the plastic components!
- Cleaning agents must not enter the unit!
To disinfect all components, spray the disinfectant on a towel and
use it to disinfect the unit. Do not spray the disinfectant directly on
the device.
- Disinfectant agents must not enter the unit!
- Dry residual disinfectants on the device with a soft and fluff-free
cloth, as they damage the plastic components.
If necessary, ask the manufacturer of the disinfectant if its constant use
will damage plastic surfaces.
7.3 Maintenance and Repair
No components inside the unit require servicing or repair by the user.
3M Deutschland GmbH will accept responsibility for the safety, reliability,
and correct function of the unit only if:
- Any modifications or repairs are carried out only by personnel
authorized to do so by 3M Deutschland GmbH;
- The electrical fittings in the room comply with all regulatory
requirements;
- The unit is operated according to these Operating Instructions.
Plastic cartridges are subject to wear depending on the material and
frequency of use and are therefore not covered by the warranty for this
unit. They should be regularly checked for signs of wear (e.g., fissures)
and replaced with new Penta cartridges for Pentamix Lite two years after
initial operation at the very latest. The use of worn or defective cartridges
can have adverse effects on the evenness of the mixture, reducing the
quality of the impression.
8. Customer Information
No person is authorized to provide any information that deviates from the
information provided in this instruction sheet.
8.1 Warranty
3M Deutschland GmbH warrants this product to be free from defects
in material and manufacture. 3M Deutschland GmbH MAKES NO
OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. User is
responsible for determining the suitability of the product for user’s
application. If this product is defective within the warranty period, your
exclusive remedy and 3M Deutschland GmbH’s sole obligation shall be
repair or replacement of the 3M Deutschland GmbH product.
8.2 Limitation of Liability
Except where prohibited by law, 3M Deutschland GmbH will not be liable
for any loss or damage arising from this product, whether direct, indirect,
special, incidental or consequential, regardless of the theory asserted,
including warranty, contract, negligence or strict liability.

7. Maintenance and Care
7.1 Replacement of the Plunger Discs
If damaged, the plunger discs must be replaced. Only original parts may
be used as replacements to insure safe operation.

Turn off the unit and disconnect the plug from the power source. Use
an Allen wrench to remove the screw in the center of the plunger disc.
Remove the disc and screw a new one into place (Fig
.21).
When changing the plunger discs, make sure you position them with the
correct alignment (see Fig. 21) to prevent damage to the foil bags.

1. Sicherheit
ACHTUNG! Lesen Sie diese Betriebsanleitung vor dem Anschließen und
der Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes sorgfältig durch! Wie bei allen techni-
schen Geräten sind auch bei diesem Gerät einwandfreie Funktion und
Betriebssicherheit nur dann gewährleistet, wenn bei der Bedienung
sowohl die allgemein üblichen Sicherheitsvorkehrungen als auch die
speziellen Sicherheitshinweise in dieser Betriebsanleitung beachtet
werden.
3M Deutschland GmbH garantiert die fehlerfreie Arbeitsweise
des Pentamix-Systems nur bei der Verwendung von 3M-System-
Komponenten.
1. Das Gerät darf nur gemäß der folgenden Anleitung verwendet
werden. Für Schäden, die durch Gebrauch dieses Gerätes für andere
Anwendungen entstehen, schließen wir jede Haftung aus.
2. Wird das Gerät von einer kalten in eine warme Umgebung gebracht,
kann durch Kondenswasser ein gefährlicher Zustand entstehen.
Deshalb das Gerät erst in Betrieb nehmen, wenn es die Umgebungs-
temperatur angenommen hat.
3. Zum Betrieb des Gerätes den Netzstecker nur in eine entsprechende
Steckdose mit Schutzleiter stecken. Wird eine Verlängerungsleitung
verwendet, so ist sicherzustellen, dass der Schutzleiter nicht unter-
brochen wird.
4. Das Gerät so aufstellen, dass der Netzstecker jederzeit zugänglich
ist.
5. Um einen sicheren Stand zu gewährleisten, das Gerät rutschfest auf
einer ebenen Oberfläche aufstellen.
6. Vor einem Kolbenscheibenwechsel unbedingt das Gerät ausschalten
und den Netzstecker ausstecken.
7. Beim Austausch der Kolbenscheiben darauf achten, dass die neuen
Kolbenscheiben mit der glatten Seite dem Schlauchbeutel zugewandt
sind (die Rückseite mit den fächerförmigen Vertiefungen muss
abgewandt sein), andernfalls kann der Schlauchbeutel beschädigt
werden.
8. Zur Vermeidung eines elektrischen Schlages keine Gegenstände in
das Gerät einführen.
9. Bei Austausch von defekten Teilen gemäß dieser Betriebsanleitung
nur Original-3M-Teile verwenden. Für Schäden, die durch Einsatz
von fremden Teilen verursacht werden, können wir keine Haftung
übernehmen.
10. Wenn aus irgendeinem Grund angenommen werden kann, dass die
Sicherheit beeinträchtigt ist, muss das Gerät außer Betrieb gesetzt
und so gekennzeichnet werden, dass es nicht aus Versehen von
Dritten wieder in Betrieb genommen wird. Die Sicherheit kann z.B.
beeinträchtigt sein, wenn das Gerät nicht wie vorgeschrieben arbeitet
oder sichtbar beschädigt ist.
11. Lösungsmittel, entflammbare Flüssigkeiten und starke Wärme-
quellen vom Gerät fernhalten, da diese das Gehäuse aus Kunststoff
beschädigen.
12. Beim Reinigen des Gerätes darf kein Reinigungsmittel in das Gerät
gelangen, da hierdurch ein elektrischer Kurzschluss oder eine gefähr-
liche Fehlfunktion ausgelöst werden kann.
13. Das Öffnen des Gerätes und Reparaturen am Gerät dürfen nur von
einem Fachmann durchgeführt werden.
Bitte melden Sie ein schwerwiegendes Vorkommnis, das im Zusammen-
hang mit dem Produkt aufgetreten ist, an 3M und die lokale zuständige
Behörde (EU) oder der lokalen Regulierungsbehörde.

Pentamix™Lite ist ein automatisches Mischgerät für die Verarbeitung von
Penta™Abformmassen. Die eigens auf das Gerät abgestimmten
3M Penta Abformmassen werden in speziellen Schlauchbeuteln geliefert.

Nur diese Form der Verpackung erlaubt die Verarbeitung im Pentamix Lite.
Jeder Penta™Schlauchbeutel ist mit einer PentaMatic-Verschlusskappe
versiegelt. Diese Verschlusskappe ermöglicht durch ihre äußere Geometrie
die eindeutige Positionierung auf der Kartusche. Eine spezielle Vorrichtung
im Inneren öffnet den Schlauchbeutel beim Starten des Pentamix selbst-
tätig, sobald durch den Kolben genügend Druck aufgebaut wurde. Die an
den PentaMatic-Kappen befindlichen Stutzen dienen zum Aufsetzen der
Mischkanüle.
Die Kartusche und die PentaMatic-Verschlusskappen bilden zusammen
eine stabile Einheit für die Verarbeitung der Pasten im Pentamix und
ermöglichen einen Produktwechsel ohne Zwischenreinigung des Gerätes
und ohne Verlustmenge. Das Pentamix Lite Gerät ist ausschließlich mit
Penta™Kartuschen für Pentamix Lite und Penta™Mixing Tips
- Red
Mischkanülen zu betreiben.
Das Pentamix Lite Mischgerät lässt sich über den integrierten Schwenk-
mechanismus platzsparend zusammenklappen und mittels Tragegriff
transportieren.
Diese Gebrauchsinformation ist für die Dauer der Verwendung des Pro-
duktes aufzubewahren. Das Produkt darf nur angewendet werden, wenn
die Produktkennzeichnung eindeutig lesbar ist. Für Details zu allen zu-
sätzlich erwähnten Produkten siehe jeweilige Gebrauchsinformation.
Zweckbestimmung
Vorgesehene Anwender: Ausgebildetes Fachpersonal, z.B. Zahnärzte/
innen, Zahnarzthelfer/innen, Dental-Hygieniker/innen, die über theoreti-
sche und praktische Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Dentalprodukten
verfügen.

4. Inbetriebnahme
!!Vor Inbetriebnahme sicherstellen, dass die am Typenschild
des Gerätes angegebene Netzspannung mit der vorhandenen
Netzspannung übereinstimmt.
!!Zum Betrieb des Gerätes den Netzstecker nur in eine entsprechende
Steckdose mit Schutzkontakt stecken. Wird eine Verlängerungs-
leitung verwendet, so ist sicherzustellen, dass der Schutzleiter nicht
unterbrochen wird.
쐌Pentamix Lite ist rutschfest auf ebenen Oberflächen einsetzbar. Nach
Anschließen des Netzsteckers an das Stromnetz und Einschalten über
den Netzschalter ist das Gerät betriebsbereit.
쐌Das Pentamix Lite Mischgerät kann dauerhaft eingeschaltet bleiben.
Die Leistungsaufnahme im Ruhezustand ist sehr gering (<1W).
5. Betrieb
5.1 Schwenken des Gerätes in die Arbeitsposition
!!Der sichere und fehlerfreie Betrieb des Pentamix Lite ist ausschließ-
lich in der Arbeitsposition gewährleistet. Beim Schwenken des
Gerätes auf die Verletzungsgefahr durch Einklemmen und Quetschen
der Finger achten.
왘Das Pentamix Lite Mischgerät mit einer Hand langsam aus der hori-
zontalen Parkposition nach vorne kippen, bis es deutlich wahrnehmbar
in die Arbeitsposition einrastet (Abb.1).
왘Das Gerät nicht über den Anschlag hinaus drücken, um technische
Defekte zu vermeiden.
5.2 Füllen der Kartusche
Bitte Reihenfolge genau beachten!
왘Je einen Schlauchbeutel Basis- und Katalysatorpaste und die
zugehörige 3M Penta Kartusche für Pentamix Lite bereitlegen.
왘Die Schlauchbeutel in die entriegelte Kartusche einschieben (Abb. 2).
왘Die Positionierungshilfen sorgen für den richtigen Sitz.
왘Den Verschlussbügel der Kartusche herunterdrücken (Abb. 3), bis er
hörbar einrastet.
5.3 Einlegen der Kartusche
왘Die Kartusche in die linke Hand nehmen.
왘
Mit der rechten Hand das Handrad im Uhrzeigersinn bis zum Anschlag
zurückdrehen und festhalten. Die Kolben sind nun in oberster Position.
왘Die Kartusche in das Gerät einlegen.
왘Das Handrad gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen, bis die Kolben mit
deutlichem Widerstand die Folienschläuche berühren (Abb. 5).
!!Das Gerät kann erst in Betrieb genommen werden,
wenn die Kolben bis auf die Folienschläuche vorgeschoben
wurden.
왘Vor Mischbeginn Mischkanüle montieren (siehe Abschnitt 5.4).
5.4 Aufsetzen der Mischkanüle. Vor jedem Mischvorgang!
Schlauchbeutel mit PentaMatic-Verschlusskappe dürfen nur zusammen
mit 3M Penta Mischkanülen verwendet werden.
왘Den Entriegelungshebel lösen (Abb. 6).
왘Die Mischkanüle zunächst nur auf die Spitze der Antriebswelle
aufstecken (Abb. 7). Durch leichtes Drehen die Mischkanüle auf die
Auslassöffnungen der Schlauchbeutel ausrichten (Abb. 8). Die Misch-
kanüle aufstecken und durch kräftiges Andrücken sicherstellen, dass
die Mischkanüle dicht auf den Auslassöffnungen sitzt (Abb. 9).
왘
Den Verschlussbügel herunterdrücken bis er hörbar einrastet (Abb.10).
5.5 Anfahren einer neuen Kartusche
왘Den grünen Startknopf auf der Kartusche drücken (Abb.11).
왘Beim Anfahren eines neuen Schlauchbeutelpaares zunächst

- 25 sec. lang warten, bis sich Druck in der Kartusche aufgebaut
hat, bevor sich die Schlauchbeutel selbsttätig öffnen.
Nach dem Öffnen kann eine der beiden unterschiedlich eingefärbten
Pasten vorströmen, was zu einem ungleichen Mischungsverhältnis führt.
Aus diesem Grund die vorströmenden Pasten beobachten, verwer-
fen und die Paste erst dann verwenden, wenn die Mischung in
gleichbleibender Farbe gefördert wird (Abb.12).
왘Nach dem Mischen die Mischkanüle als Verschluss auf der Kartusche
belassen!
5.6 Befüllen von Abformlöffel und Penta Elastomer-Spritze
왘Den grünen Startknopf auf der Kartusche drücken. Die Paste wird
erst nach einigen Sekunden in der Mischkanüle sichtbar.

Das Gerät mischt nur so lange, wie der Startknopf gedrückt gehalten
wird. Die Paste läuft beim Loslassen nicht nach. Nach Loslassen des
Startknopfes entlastet der Pentamix Lite die Schlauchbeutel automatisch
durch Zurückziehen der Kolben, dies macht sich durch ein Geräusch des
Antriebsmotors bemerkbar.
왘Zum Befüllen den Löffel schräg halten. Die Mischkanüle von einer
Seite beginnend mit in die Paste eingetauchter Austrittsöffnung
kontinuierlich über den Löffelboden führen (Abb.13). Eventuell
anschließend die Abformmasse mit einem Spatel glattstreichen.
Eine Mischkanüle darf nur solange benutzt werden, solange sich die
Mischerwelle im Inneren des Mischers leichtgängig dreht. Wird der
Mischvorgang für mehr als 30 sec unterbrochen, beginnt das Material
im Inneren der Mischkanüle auszuhärten und es muss eine neue Misch-
kanüle montiert werden. (Siehe Punkt 5.4 „Aufsetzen der Mischkanüle“).
Wird der Mischer mit verfestigtem Material im Inneren betrieben, kann
der Katalysator-Stutzen der Verschlusskappe beschädigt werden oder
abbrechen.
왘Die Penta Elastomer-Spritze (nach Entfernen des Kolbens) mit der
hinteren Spritzenöffnung auf die Mischeröffnung aufstecken und den
Startknopf drücken (Abb.14).
!!ACHTUNG: Nicht jede Penta Abformmasse eignet sich als Spritzen-
material. Bitte die Gebrauchsinformation des jeweiligen Produktes
beachten.

5.7 Entnehmen der Kartusche
!!Während der Entnahme der
Kartusche nicht auf den Startknopf
drücken!
왘Mit der rechten Hand das Handrad gegen den Uhrzeigersinn bis
zum Anschlag zurückdrehen und festhalten. Die Kolben sind nun in
oberster Position.
왘Die Kartusche mit der linken Hand aus dem Gerät entnehmen
(Abb.15).
5.8 Wiederanfahren einer teilentleerten Kartusche
왘Nach längerer Lagerung (insbesondere bei Silikonen) die Auslass-
öffnungen der Schlauchbeutel mit einem Instrument von eventuellen
Pfropfen befreien.
왘Gegebenenfalls das Gerät ohne Mischer starten, um den Pastenfluss
zu kontrollieren.
왘Einen neuen Mischer aufsetzen und den Mischvorgang starten.
5.9 Kartuschenwechsel
Ist eine Kartusche fast leer, empfiehlt es sich, eine zweite startbereite
Kartusche zur Hand zu haben, um schnell wechseln zu können.
Diese Kartusche sollte, wie unter 5.5 „Anfahren einer neuen Kartusche“
beschrieben, vorbereitet sein.
Kolben herunterfahren nicht vergessen!
Benutzungsdauer der Mischkanüle: Siehe 5.6
5.10 Lagerung angefahrener Kartuschen
왘Angefahrene und teilentleerte Schlauchbeutel nur in der Kartusche
und mit aufgesetztem und gefülltem Mischer lagern.
왘Kartuschen mit angefahrenem Schlauchbeutel entweder liegend oder
mit dem Mischer nach unten lagern (Abb.16). Andernfalls kann es
durch zurückfließende Abformmasse zur Verlängerung der Wieder-
anfahrzeit oder zur Vermischung von Basis- und Katalysatorpaste
kommen.
왘Befindet sich das Gerät mit eingelegter und angefahrener Kartusche
in Parkposition, halten die Kolbenscheiben die Schlauchbeutel in der
Kartusche. Ein Entnehmen der Kartusche vor dem Parken des Gerätes
ist deshalb nicht notwendig.
5.11 Füllstandsanzeige
Die Füllstandsanzeige ermöglicht die Kontrolle der Füllmenge der
Schlauchbeutel (Abb.17).
Bei vollständiger Entleerung der Schlauchbeutel verschwindet der rote
Füllstandszeiger und das Gerät schaltet selbständig ab.
5.12 Parken des Gerätes
Das Pentamix Lite Gerät lässt sich bei zeitweisem Nichtbetrieb auf
einfache Weise in eine platzsparende Parkposition bringen.
!!Beim Schwenken des Gerätes auf die
Verletzungsgefahr durch Einklemmen und
Quetschen der Finger achten.
왘Vor jedem Kippen der Mischeinheit des Gerätes bei eingelegter
Kartusche sicherstellen, dass sich die Kolbenscheiben in der Kartusche
befinden bzw. dass die verwendete Mischkanüle aufgesteckt ist.
Andernfalls kann die Kartusche aus dem Gerät fallen und dabei
beschädigt werden.
왘Das Pentamix Lite Mischgerät mit einer Hand langsam aus der
Arbeitsposition nach hinten kippen, bis es deutlich wahrnehmbar in
die Parkposition einrastet (Abb.18).
왘Das Gerät nicht über den Anschlag hinaus drücken, um technische
Defekte zu vermeiden.
5.13 Transport des Gerätes
Das Pentamix Lite Gerät lässt sich in der Parkposition problemlos
transportieren und verstauen.
!!Beim Transport des Gerätes auf die
Verletzungsgefahr durch Einklemmen und
Quetschen der Finger achten.
왘Das Gerät vor dem Transport in die Parkposition bringen:
siehe 5.12.
왘Das Pentamix Lite Gerät gegebenenfalls über den Netzschalter
ausschalten und den Netzstecker aus dem Gerät ziehen.
왘Mit einer Hand in die Tragemulde im Gehäuse greifen (Abb.19) und
das Gerät seitlich mit einer Hand transportieren (Abb. 20).
5.14 Entsorgung der Verbrauchsmaterialien
Gebrauchte Mischkanülen und entleerte Schlauchbeutel mit dem
Restmüll entsorgen. Bitte dabei die lokalen Müllentsorgungsrichtlinien
beachten.
Die aufgebrauchte Verpackung der Penta-Basispaste unterliegt der
EU-Richtlinie über Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte (WEEE) und ist in der
EU entsprechend den lokalen Vorschriften für Elektroschrott getrennt zu
sammeln und zu entsorgen.
5.15 Rückgabe Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte
zur Entsorgung
1. Sammlung
Nutzer von Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten sind entsprechend den länder-
spezifischen Regelungen verpflichtet, Altgeräte getrennt zu sammeln.
Elektro- und Elektronikaltgeräte dürfen nicht gemeinsam mit dem
unsortierten Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Die getrennte Sammlung ist
Voraussetzung für das Recycling und die Verwertung, wodurch eine
Ressourcenschonung der Umwelt erreicht wird.
2. Rückgabe- und Sammelsysteme
Im Entsorgungsfall Ihres Pentamix Lite darf das Gerät nicht mit dem
Hausmüll entsorgt werden. 3M Deutschland GmbH hat dazu Entsorgungs-
möglichkeiten geschaffen. Details zu der im jeweiligen Land gültigen
Vorgehensweise sind bei der zuständigen 3M Niederlassung erhältlich.

5.16 Hinweise
Vor der Verwendung des Schlauchbeutels sollten die aufgedruckten
chargenbezogenen Daten (Chargenbezeichnung, verwendbar-bis-Datum,
14-stellige GTIN) für die praxisinterne Dokumentation oder für Rückfra-
gen an den Hersteller notiert werden, um sie später jederzeit wieder ab-
rufen zu können.
Penta Mischkanülen - Rot sind Einmalprodukte und würden bei Entfer-
nung der abgebundenen Abformmasse beschädigt.
Bitte das Einmalprodukt in der Originalverpackung aufbewahren, um die
Rückverfolgbarkeit der Charge (LOT) zu gewährleisten.
6. Störungen und Fehlermeldungen
7. Wartung und Pflege
7.1 Austauschen der Kolbenscheiben
Die Kolbenscheiben bei Beschädigung auswechseln. Aus Sicherheits-
gründen darf für den Austausch nur Originalzubehör verwendet werden.
왘
Das Gerät ausschalten und den Netzstecker ausstecken. Die Schraube
in der Mitte der Kolbenscheibe mit einem Inbusschlüssel lösen,
die Scheibe abnehmen und eine neue Kolbenscheibe festschrauben
(Abb. 21).
Beim Austausch der Kolbenscheiben auf die korrekte Orientierung
achten (siehe Abb. 21), andernfalls können die Schlauchbeutel beschädigt
werden.
7.2 Pflege
Die Reinigung aller Teile erfolgt mit einem weichen Tuch und
ggf. einem milden Reinigungsmittel (z.B. Geschirrspülmittel).
Lösungsmittel oder scheuernde Reinigungsmittel können Schäden
verursachen.
- Reinigungsmittel dürfen nicht in das Gerät gelangen.
Zur Desinfektion aller Geräteteile das Desinfektionsmittel auf ein Tuch
sprühen und das Gerät damit desinfizieren. Desinfektionsmittel nicht
direkt auf das Gerät sprühen.
- Desinfektionsmittel dürfen nicht in die Geräte gelangen!
- Verbleibende Desinfektionsmittelreste mit einem weichen, fussel-
freien Tuch abtrocknen, da diese die Kunststoffteile beschädigen.
Erfragen Sie gegebenenfalls beim Hersteller des Desinfektionsmittels, ob
dessen Verwendung auf Dauer Kunststoffoberflächen angreift.
7.3 Wartung und Reparatur
Im Gerätegehäuse befinden sich keine durch den Benutzer zu wartende
oder zu reparierende Teile. 3M Deutschland GmbH betrachtet sich nur
dann für die Sicherheit, Zuverlässigkeit und Gebrauchstüchtigkeit des
Gerätes als verantwortlich, wenn
- Änderungen und Reparaturen nur von solchen Personen aus-
geführt werden, die von 3M Deutschland GmbH dazu ermächtigt
wurden;
- die elektrische Installation des betreffenden Raumes den
einschlägigen Vorschriften entspricht;
- das Gerät in Übereinstimmung mit dieser Betriebsanleitung
verwendet wird.
Kunststoffkartuschen sind, abhängig von Material und Anwendungs-
häufigkeit, Verschleißteile und fallen nicht unter die Gerätegarantie. Sie
sollten regelmäßig bezüglich Abnutzungserscheinungen (z.B. Sprünge)
kontrolliert und spätestens zwei Jahre nach Inbetriebnahme durch
neue Penta Kartuschen für Pentamix Lite ersetzt werden. Der Einsatz
verschlissener oder defekter Kartuschen kann zur Beeinträchtigung des

1. Informations relatives aux
mesures de sécurité
ATTENTION! Lire cette page attentivement avant de brancher et de
mettre en service l’appareil. Comme pour tous les appareils, seul le
respect des mesures de sécurité générales et des recommandations
spéciales, mentionnées dans le présent mode d’emploi, garantit
un bon fonctionnement et une sécurité totale pendant l’utilisation de
l’appareil.
3M Deutschland GmbH garantit le fonctionnement parfait du
système Pentamix seulement si l’on utilise des composants du
système de 3M.
1. L’appareil ne doit être utilisé que conformément au mode d’emploi.
3M Deutschland GmbH décline toute responsabilité en cas de
dommages causés par une mauvaise utilisation de cet appareil.
2. Si l’appareil est déplacé d’un endroit froid à un endroit chaud,
l’apparition de condensation rend l’utilisation de l’appareil dangereuse.
Il est donc nécessaire d’attendre l’adaptation de l’appareil à la
température ambiante avant de le mettre en service.
3. Pour faire fonctionner l’appareil, le brancher sur une prise de terre.
Si l’on utilise une rallonge, vérifiez que la ligne de terre ne soit pas
interrompue.
4. Placer l’appareil de façon que la prise du réseau électrique soit ac-
cessible à tout moment.
5. Pour assurer une bonne position de l’appareil, le placer sur une
surface plane et stable.
6. Avant le changement de disque du piston, mettre l’appareil hors
service et débrancher impérativement la prise de courant.
7. Lors du changement des disques des pistons, veiller à ce que les
nouveaux disques soient tournés côté lisse vers le boudin (et la partie
arrière avec les cavités en éventail tournée de l’autre côté), sinon le
boudin risque d’être endommagé.
8. Pour éviter un choc électrique, ne placer aucun objet dans l’appareil.
9. Lors du changement de pièces défectueuses conformément au
présent mode d’emploi, n’utiliser que des pièces d’origine 3M.
3M Deutschland GmbH décline toute responsabilité en cas de
dommages causés par l’utilisation de pièces étrangères.
10. Lorsque, pour une raison quelconque, les conditions de sécurité ne
sont pas entièrement remplies, l’appareil doit être mis hors service
et porter un signe distinctif afin d’éviter qu’une autre personne ne
le remette en service. La sécurité est remise en cause par exemple
lorsque l’appareil ne fonctionne pas comme décrit, ou qu’il est
visiblement endommagé.
11. Les solvants, liquides inflammables et fortes sources de chaleur,
susceptibles d’endommager le boîtier en plastique, doivent être
tenus éloignés de l’appareil.
12. Durant le nettoyage de l’appareil, n’utiliser aucun produit de
nettoyage susceptible de provoquer un court-circuit électrique
ou un fonctionnement défectueux, dangereux.
13. Seul un technicien spécialiste et formé à cet effet est habilité à ouvrir
et réparer l’appareil.
Veuillez signaler tout incident majeur survenu avec le produit à 3M ainsi
qu’aux autorités locales compétentes (UE) ou aux autorités nationales de
régulation.
2. Description de l’appareil
Pentamix™Lite est un appareil de mélange automatique pour des
matériaux d’empreinte Penta™. Les matériaux d’empreinte 3M Penta
prévus pour l’appareil sont livrés sous la forme de boudins spéciaux.
Seule cette forme d’emballage permet le mélange dans le Pentamix Lite.

Chaque boudin Penta™est scellé par un opercule de fermeture Penta-
Matic. L’opercule permet, grâce à sa géométrie externe, le positionne-
ment précis sur la cartouche. Un dispositif spécial à l’intérieur ouvre le
boudin au démarrage du Pentamix dès que le
piston exerce une pression suffisante. Les embouts se trouvant sur les
opercules PentaMatic servent à mettre en place la canule de mélange.
La cartouche et les opercules PentaMatic forment un ensemble pour
le mélange des matériaux d’empreinte dans le Pentamix et permettent
de changer de produit sans avoir à nettoyer l’appareil et sans perte
de matériau. Ne pas utiliser l’appareil Pentamix Lite avec d’autres
accessoires que les cartouches Penta™pour Pentamix Lite et les canules
de mélange Penta™Mixing Tips
- Red.
Grâce au mécanisme de pivotement et à la poignée de transport,
l’appareil de mélange Pentamix Lite peut être replié et rangé dans une
boîte compacte pour un transport aisé.
Le présent mode d’emploi doit être conservé pendant toute la durée
d’utilisation du produit. N’utilisez pas le produit si l’étiquette du condi-
tionnement est illisible. Pour tous les autres produits mentionnés ici,
veuillez vous reporter aux modes d’emploi correspondants.

4. Mise en service
!!Avant de le mettre sous tension,vérifier que la tension indiquée sur
la plaque signalétique de l’appareil correspond bien à la tension du
courant.
!!Pour mettre l’appareil en service, brancher la prise de courant
exclusivement sur une prise de terre. Si l’on utilise une rallonge,
vérifier que la ligne de terre ne soit pas interrompue.
쐌Le Pentamix Lite peut être placé sur une surface plane antidérapante.
Une fois le câble d’alimentation raccordé à une prise électrique et
l’interrupteur d’alimentation enclenché, l’appareil est prêt à l’emploi.
쐌L’appareil de mélange Pentamix Lite peut rester branché en
permanence. Sa consommation électrique en mode veille est très
faible (<1W).
5. Fonctionnement
5.1 Pivotement de l’appareil en position de travail
!!Le fonctionnement en toute sécurité du Pentamix Lite n’est garanti
que lorsque l’appareil est placé en position de travail. Lorsque
vous pivotez l’appareil, prenez garde de ne pas vous blesser en vous
coinçant ou en vous écrasant les doigts.
왘D’une main, inclinez doucement l’appareil de mélange du Pentamix
Lite vers l’avant jusqu’à ce qu’un clic audible retentisse une fois en
position de travail (illustr.1).
왘N’inclinez pas l’appareil à fond, car cela risquerait de causer des
problèmes techniques.
5.2 Remplissage de la cartouche
Respecter scrupuleusement la suite des opérations.
왘Préparer à portée de la main respectivement un boudin de pâte base
et un boudin de pâte catalyseur et la cartouche ad hoc 3M Penta pour
Pentamix Lite.
왘Pousser les boudins dans la cartouche déverrouillée (illustr. 2).
왘Les ergots de positionnement permettent un positionnement correct.
왘Presser vers le bas le levier de la cartouche (illustr. 3) jusqu’à ce qu’il
s’enclenche de façon audible.
5.3 Mise en place de la cartouche
왘Prendre la cartouche avec la main gauche.
왘De la main droite, faire tourner la manivelle vers la droite jusqu’au
bout et la maintenir dans cette position. Les pistons se trouvent ainsi
dans leur position la plus haute.
왘Encastrer la cartouche dans l’appareil.
왘Tourner la manivelle dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre
jusqu’à ce que les pistons touchent nettement les boudins (illustr. 5).
!!Avant de pouvoir utiliser l’appareil,
il faut que les pistons soient poussés
contre les boudins.
왘Avant de commencer le mélange, mettre en place une canule de
mélange (voir paragraphe 5.4).
5.4 Mise en place de la canule de mélange.
Impératif avant toute préparation!
Les boudins terminés par un opercule PentaMatic ne peuvent s’utiliser
qu’avec des canules de mélanges Penta 3M.
왘Relever le levier de déverrouillage (illustr. 6).
왘D’abord, ne placer la canule de mélange que sur la pointe de l’axe
mélangeur (illustr. 7). Puis tourner légèrement la canule de mélange
sur les embouts de sortie des boudins pour l’ajuster (illustr. 8). Placer
la canule de mélange et en appuyant fermement, s’assurer que la
canule de mélange est placée hermétiquement sur les embouts de
sortie (illustr. 9).
왘Presser vers le bas le levier jusqu’à ce qu’il s’enclenche de façon
audible (illustr.10).
5.5 Amorçage d’une nouvelle cartouche
왘Appuyer sur le bouton de démarrage vert de la cartouche (illustr.11).
왘Lors de la mise en place d’une nouvelle paire de boudins, attendre
tout d’abord 15 à 25 secondes jusqu’à ce que la pression soit
montée dans la cartouche avant que les boudins ne se percent
automatiquement.
Après l’ouverture des boudins, une des deux pâtes (de coloration
différente) peut s’écouler seule, ce qui traduit par une proportion de
mélange inégale. C'est la raison pour laquelle il faut bien observer

et jeter cette pâte. Il ne faut utiliser le matériau d’empreinte
qu’à partir du moment où le mélange a une couleur homogène
constante (illustr.12).
왘Après le mélange, laisser la canule de mélange sur la cartouche pour
en assurer la fermeture !
5.6 Remplissage du porte-empreinte et de la seringue à
élastomère Penta
왘Appuyer sur le bouton de démarrage vert de la cartouche. Il faut
patienter quelques secondes avant de voir sortir la pâte de la canule
de mélange.
L’appareil prépare et distribue la pâte aussi longtemps que le bouton est
maintenu enfoncé. La pâte ne s’écoule plus sitôt que le bouton est lâché.
Lorsque le bouton de démarrage est lâché, l’appareil Pentamix Lite
diminue la pression exercée sur les boudins en rétractant les pistons,
opération identifiable par le bruit de moteur audible.
왘
Pour son remplissage, tenir le porte-empreinte incliné. En commençant
par un côté, guider en continu la canule de mélange avec l’extrémité
de la canule enfoncée dans la pâte sur le fond du porte-empreinte
(illustr.13). Pour assurer une répartition uniforme, le matériau
d’empreinte peut éventuellement être lissé au moyen d’une spatule.
N’utiliser la canule de mélange que tant que l’axe mélangeur tourne
avec aisance à l’intérieur du mélangeur. Si l’opération de mélange est
interrompue pour plus de 30 sec, le matériau commence à durcir à
l’intérieur de la canule de mélange et il faut alors installer une nouvelle
canule de mélange. (Voir point 5.4 « Pose de la canule»). Si vous faites
tourner le mélangeur alors qu’il contient en son sein du matériau durci,
l’embout de l’opercule du catalyseur risque de se détériorer ou de
casser.
왘Après avoir enlevé le piston de la seringue d’élastomère, enfoncer la
partie postérieure de la seringue à élastomère Penta sur l’orifice de la
canule de mélange et presser le bouton de démarrage (illustr.14).
!!ATTENTION: Les matériaux d’empreinte Penta ne conviennent pas
tous pour une utilisation en seringue. Il faut se reporter au mode
d’emploi du produit correspondant.
왘Nettoyage de la seringue à élastomère Penta
Reportez-vous au mode d’emploi correspondant pour de plus amples
informations concernant le nettoyage et la désinfection de la seringue
à élastomère Penta.
5.7 Retrait de la cartouche
!!N’appuyez pas sur le bouton de
démarrage pendant le retrait de
la cartouche!
왘De la main droite, faire tourner la manivelle vers la gauche jusqu’au
bout et la maintenir dans cette position. Les pistons se trouvent ainsi
dans leur position la plus haute.
왘Vous pouvez retirer la cartouche de l’appareil de la main gauche
(illustr.15).
5.8 Réamorçage d’une cartouche partiellement utilisée
왘
Après le stockage prolongé (en particulier quand il s’agit des silicones),
enlever les éventuels bouchons formés au niveau des embouts de
sortie des boudins avec un instrument.
왘Si nécessaire mettre l’appareil en marche sans canule de mélange
pour contrôler le bon écoulement des pâtes.
왘Puis placer une nouvelle canule de mélange et démarrer le processus
de mélange.
5.9 Changement de la cartouche
Quand une cartouche est presque vide, il est conseillé de disposer d’une
seconde cartouche prête à l’emploi pour pouvoir la changer rapidement.
Cette cartouche doit être préparée suivant les instructions sous 5.5
« Amorçage d’une nouvelle cartouche ».
Ne pas oublier d’abaisser les pistons !

5.10 Stockage des cartouches amorcées
왘Stocker les boudins amorcés et partiellement vides uniquement dans
la cartouche et avec la canule de mélange remplie en place (pour en
assurer la fermeture).
왘Stocker les cartouches avec boudins amorcés soit à plat ou avec
la canule de mélange vers le bas (illustr.16). Sinon, le matériau
d’empreinte revenant en arrière pourrait allonger la durée de
réamorçage ou générer un mélange de pâte de base et pâte de
catalyseur, donc des bouchons.
왘Lorsqu’une cartouche ayant déjà servi se trouve dans l’appareil placé
en position de rangement, les disques des pistons maintiennent
les boudins à l’intérieur de la cartouche. Il est inutile de retirer la
cartouche avant de placer l’appareil en position de rangement.
5.11 Affichage du niveau de remplissage
Le contrôle du remplissage des boudins se fait à l’aide du niveau de
remplissage (illustr.17).
Lorsque les boudins sont entièrement vides, l’indicateur de remplissage
rouge disparaît et l’appareil se met hors service automatiquement.
5.12 Rangement de l’appareil
L’appareil Pentamix Lite peut être facilement replié dans une position de
rangement compacte lorsque vous ne prévoyez pas de l’utiliser pendant
quelque temps.
!!Lorsque vous pivotez l’appareil, prenez garde
de ne pas vous blesser en vous coinçant ou en
vous écrasant les doigts.
왘Avant d’incliner l’appareil de mélange contenant une cartouche,
assurez-vous que les disques des pistons se trouvent dans la
cartouche et que la canule de mélange qui a été utilisée est toujours
en place. Sinon, la cartouche risque de tomber de l’appareil et être
endommagée.
왘D’une main, inclinez doucement l’appareil de mélange du Pentamix
Lite vers l’arrière jusqu’à ce qu’un clic audible retentisse une fois en
position de rangement (illustr.18).
왘N’inclinez pas l’appareil à fond, car cela risquerait de causer des
problèmes techniques.
5.13 Transport de l’appareil
Lorsqu’il est en position de rangement, le Pentamix Lite peut être
transporté et rangé facilement.
!!Lorsque vous transportez l’appareil, prenez garde de
ne pas vous blesser en vous coinçant ou en vous écrasant
les doigts.
왘Placez l’appareil en position de rangement avant de le transporter,
voir section 5.12.
왘Placez l’interrupteur de l’appareil Pentamix Lite sur « Arrêt » et
débranchez le câble d’alimentation.
왘Saisissez l’appareil d’une main sur le côté (illustr. 20) et portez-le à
l’aide de la poignée de transport du boîtier (illustr.19).
5.14 Elimination des consommables
Jeter les canules de mélanges usagées et les boudins vides avec les
déchets habituels. Veiller à respecter les directives locales relatives à
l’élimination des déchets.
L’emballage usagé de la pâte base Penta est soumis à la directive euro-
péenne relative aux déchets d'équipements électriques et électroniques
(DEEE) et doit, dans l’Union européenne, être collecté et éliminé à l’écart
des autres déchets conformément aux réglementations locales en matiè-
re de déchets électriques et électroniques.

5.15 Retour des anciens équipements électriques et
électroniques pour élimination
1. Collecte
Les utilisateurs d’équipements électroniques et électriques sont amenés

nécessité préalable au recyclage et au retraitement et est considéré

2. Systèmes de retour et de collecte
Lorsque votre Pentamix Lite n’est plus utilisable, ne pas le jeter avec les
déchets ménagers. 3M Deutschland GmbH a mis en place des installa-
tions spéciales chargées de l’évacuation des équipements. Davantage
de détails concernant les procédures spécifiques à chaque pays peuvent
être obtenus auprès de votre filiale 3M.
5.16 Remarques
Avant d’utiliser le sachet en aluminium, relevez les informations men-
tionnées sur le sachet (numéro de lot, date de péremption, code GTIN à
14 chiffres) pour les besoins de votre structure ou pour toute question à
l’attention du fabricant et consignez-les de manière à pouvoir les consul-
ter ultérieurement.
Canules de mélange Penta Mixing Tips – Red sont des dispositifs à usage
unique et seront endommagées lors du retrait du matériau d’empreinte.
Veuillez conserver l’accessoire à usage unique dans son sachet d’origine
afin de garantir la traçabilité du lot.

7.1 Remplacement des disques des pistons
Lorsqu’ils sont endommagés, remplacer les disques des pistons. Pour
des raisons de sécurité, n’utiliser que des accessoires d’origine pour le
remplacement.

Mettre l’appareil hors service et débrancher la prise du secteur.
Desserrer la vis dans le centre du disque de piston à l’aide d’une
clé à six pans creux, enlever les disques et puis fixer un nouveau
disque de piston (illustr
.21).
Lors du remplacement des disques des pistons, veiller à une orientation
correcte (voir illustr. 21), sinon les boudins pourraient être endommagés.
7.2 Entretien
왘Pour la désinfection de l’appareil Pentamix Lite, verser le produit
désinfectant sur un chiffon et l’utiliser pour désinfecter l’appareil.
Ne pas verser le produit désinfectant directement sur l’appareil.
- Le produit désinfectant ne doit pas pénétrer dans l’appareil !
왘Essuyer les restes de produit désinfectant à l’aide d’un chiffon doux
ne peluchant pas, car celles-ci abiment les pièces en plastique.
왘Nettoyer l’appareil avec un chiffon doux et, si nécessaire, un produit
nettoyant doux.
- N’utiliser en aucun cas un solvant ou un nettoyant abrasif, car ils
endommagent les éléments en matière plastique !
- Le nettoyant ne doit pas pénétrer dans l’appareil !
7.3 Maintenance et réparation
L’appareil ne comporte pas de pièces nécessitant des opérations de
maintenance ou des réparations de la part de l’utilisateur. La responsa-
bilité de 3M Deutschland GmbH pour la sécurité, la fiabilité et le bon
fonctionnement de l’appareil n'est engagée que dans les cas suivants :
- Toute modification et réparation doit être effectuée uniquement
par des personnes habilitées par 3M Deutschland GmbH.
- L’installation électrique de la pièce où l’appareil est utilisé est
conforme aux normes en vigueur.
- L’appareil est utilisé conformément aux recommandations du
présent mode d’emploi.
En fonction du matériau et de la fréquence d’utilisation, les cartouches
en matière plastique sont des pièces d’usure et ne rentrent pas dans le
cadre de la garantie pour cet appareil. Il est conseillé de vérifier régulière-
ment leur état d’usure (par exemple fissures) et de les renouveler au plus
tard deux ans après la mise en service par de nouvelles cartouches Penta
pour Pentamix Lite. L’utilisation de cartouches usées ou défectueuses
peut se traduire par un mauvais mélange et donc diminuer la qualité
d’empreinte.
