4light AB is a Swedish company, founded in 2014. We want to contribute to the
”vision zero”, a zero-death-toll by improving the visibility of persons present or
working in the streets and other hazardous environments.
Nova is available in the colors yellow and orange. The purpose of the product
is to increase the visibility of the user compared to standard hi-visibility clothes,
increase the safety of the user and also to create a strong work light without
shadows.
Powerbank:The supplied Power bank is charged to 30 % on delivery. Before
use it is recommended to fully charge the Power bank. LED-diods shows the
status of charging. When all diods are lit up, the Power bank is fully charged.
Charging time varies depending on charger but is estimated to be less than four
hours.
Start: Unpack the harness and check the content. In the box, nd a Power-
bank; 8000mAh, USB A - MicroUSB-cable and the specic product manual.
Connecting: Connect the Power bank to the USB-B connector, found in the
rear pocket of the harenss.
Run time: Between 5 to 14 hours depending on LED-light intensity, outside
temperature and the battery age.

PCB: The Main PCB is positioned on the left side of the harness
There are three switches that controls the LED lights.
Switch 1: Controls the white front work light.
Switch 2: Controls main on/o󰀨.
Switch 3: Controls the shoulder- and rear lights.
Congurations: There are di󰀨erent conguration of LED strips and program-
ming depending on the use of the harness. Congurations as following:
On the top of the PCB there are two LED-lights:
Diode 1: Indicates if the harness is on. Note that if diode 1
is on and all LED-lights are o󰀨, the harnessis in a standby
mode.The included Power bank has an auto-o󰀨 function. If
the harness is in standby mode it will go in o󰀨-mode after 17
seconds. When this happens, quickly press the main switch
(2) two times and the harness will restart again.
Diode 2: Indicates if the rear LED-light is on.
Maintenance: The harness is to be concidered as workwear. Hand wash only.
The harness electronics does not withstand machine wash.
Recycling:To reduce the environmental impact, recycle the battery. Recycle
the worn-out harness as electronic waste.

Switch 3: Operates yellow shoulders and red rear LED strips in following sequ-
ence: Alternating shoulder with static rear light on – alternating shoulder with
rear light o󰀨 – Parallel shoulders with static rear light on – parallel shoulders
with rear light of – static rear light on – O󰀨
Nova Rail: (White front LED, yellow shoulder LED strips, yellow rear LED). All
other features are same as Nova Standard.

Nova Emergency: (White front LED, yellow shoulder LED strips, yellow rear
LED). Conguration made for emergency services. The plates are made of red
fabric.

Safety information for lithium-ion batteries: Do not use the supplied Power
bank in temperatures over 60ºC (140ºF). Operating temperatures are sugge-
sted to -20ºC – +40ºC (-4ºC – +104ºF). Charge the Power bank with a CE-app-
roved 5V DC USB-charger in ambient in temperatures between +5ºC – +40ºC
(-40ºC – +104ºF). Do never use a damaged Power bank. A damaged Power

Responsibility: 4light AB takes responsibility to thefunctionallity of the harness
according to this manual. 4light does not take responsibility of damages that oc-
curs when wearing the harness. Nova contributes to better safety and visibility,
but it does not replace common sense.
Warranty: One year of manufacturer warranty. The warranty covers defects in
materials used to manufacture the harness, defects in workmanship under nor-
mal use, broken components under normal use. The warranty does not cover
batteries.
Warning! Do not look directly into the LED-light. Long time exposure to
LED-light might damage your eyes.
