This tool is intended for personal use only.
The rotary tool is intended being used as die grinder to grind away small amounts of
metals, castings, welded joints, rivets and rust.

When using power tools, always prevent exposure and breathing of harmful
dust and particles.
WARNING: Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling and
other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to
cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Some examples of these chemicals are:
• Lead from lead-based paints.
• Crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and
arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of
work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals: work in a well ventilated area,
and work with approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially
designed to filter out microscopic particles.

WORK AREA
Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the
dust or fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions
can cause you to lose control.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators,
ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is
earthed or grounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool
will increase the risk of electric shock.
PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a
power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of
drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools
may result in serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair
can be caught in moving parts.
Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is in the locked or off position before
inserting battery pack. Carrying tools with your finger on the switch or inserting
the battery pack into a tool with the switch on invites accidents.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as dust
mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate
conditions will reduce personal injuries.
Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A
wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in
personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables
better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection
facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of these devices can
reduce dust-related hazards.

TOOL USE AND CARE
Use clamps or other practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a
stable platform. Holding the work by hand or against your body is unstable and
may lead to loss of control.
Do not force tool. Use the correct tool for your application. The correct tool will
do the job better and safer at the rate for which it is designed.
Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on or off. A tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect battery pack from tool or place the switch in the locked or off
position before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the
tool. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the tool
accidentally.
Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like:
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make
a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together
may cause sparks, burns, or a fire.
Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained tools with sharp cutting edge are less likely to bind and are easier to
control.
Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any
other condition that may affect the tool's operation. If damaged, have the tool
serviced before using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for your
model. Accessories that may be suitable for one tool may create a risk of injury
when used on another tool.

BATTERY TOOL USE AND CARE
Ensure the switch is in the off position before inserting battery pack. Inserting
the battery pack into power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is
suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another
battery pack.
Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other
battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make
a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together
may cause burns or a fire.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact.
If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes,
additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation
or burns.
SERVICE
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained

When servicing a tool, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions

SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES AND SYMBOLS
Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where
the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring. Contact with ’live’ wire will also
make exposed metal parts of the tool ’live’ and shock the operator.
Keep hands away from moving parts. Never place your hands near the moving
area.
Use extra caution when moving overhead and pay particular attention to
overhead wires, which may be hidden from view. Anticipate the path of falling
branches and debris ahead of time.
Do not operate this tool for long periods of time. Vibration caused by the operating
action of this tool may cause permanent injury to fingers, hands, and arms. Use
gloves to provide extra cushion, take frequent rest periods, and limit daily time of
use.
This power tool is intended to function as a buffer or polisher. Read all safety
warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this power
tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire
and serious injury.
Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on application, use face shield,
safety goggles or safety glasses. As appropriate, wear dust mask, hearing
protectors, gloves and shop apron capable of stopping small abrasive or
workpiece fragments. The eye protection must be capable of stopping flying debris
generated by various operations. The dust mask or respirator must be capable of
filtrating particles generated by your operation. Prolonged exposure to high intensity
noise may cause hearing loss.
Keep bystanders safe distance away from work area. Anyone entering the work
area must wear personal protective equipment. Fragments of workpiece or of a
broken accessory may fly away and cause injury beyond immediate area of
operation.
Do not run the power tool while carrying it at your side.
Regularly clean the power ‘tool’s air vents. The motor’s fan will draw the dust
inside the housing and excessive accumulation of powdered metal may cause
electrical hazards.
Do not operate the power tool near flammable materials. Sparks could ignite
these materials.
Maintain a firm grip on the power tool and position your body and arm to allow
you to resist vibration forces.
Never place your hand near the rotating part.
Wear appropriate personal hearing protection during use. Under some
conditions and duration of use, noise from this product may contribute to hearing
loss.

ASSEMBLY
INSTALLING OR REMOVING BATTERY PACK
TO REMOVE BATTERY PACK: Depress the battery pack release button (9) and pull
the battery pack (10) out of tool.
TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK: Push the battery pack (10) onto tool until it locks in
place.
CHANGING THE COLLET
Some accessories require the use of different sized collets. Collet sizes are 3.18 mm,
2.38 mm, 1.59 mm or 0.79 mm. It is important to ensure that the collet size matches
the accessory.
Using a collet that is too large for the accessory will result in the accessory possibly
being thrown from the tool causing serious injury.
1. Turn off the tool.
2. Depress the spindle lock button (see above A.)and slowly turn the collet nut (see
above B.) until the spindle lock button locks the spindle.
3. While holding the spindle lock button down, turn the collet nut counter-clockwise
by wrench (see above C.) until it is removed.
4. Remove the collet (see above D.) by pulling it out of the spindle (see above E.) .
5. Insert the replacement collet into the spindle and replace the collet nut by turning it
clockwise using the wrench whilst holding the spindle lock button down.
To prevent damage to collet, do not tighten the collet nut without an accessory
installed in the collet.

INSTALLING ACCESSORIES
1. Turn off the tool.
2. Depress the spindle lock button (see under A.) and slowly turn the collet nut (see
under B.) until the spindle lock button locks the spindle.
3. While holding the spindle lock button down, turn the collet nut counter-clockwise
using the wrench (see under C.) until the collet is loose inside the collet nut.
4. Insert the accessory shank (see under D.) into collet as far as it will go.
Make sure the correct collet is used for the accessory. If collet is too large,
replace the collet with the next smaller size.
5. Press the spindle lock button and engage it in the spindle. Whilst holding the
spindle lock button downtighten the collet by turning it clockwise using the
wrench until it is as tight as you can make it by hand.
Do not use pliers to tighten the collet nut. Use the small wrench supplied. Over
tightening will cause damage to the tool.
6. Pull on the accessory to ensure it is securely in place.

OPERATION
WARNING!! Have you read the “General Safety Rules” and “Specific Safety Rules
and Symbols” of this manual? If not, please do so now before you operate this rotary
tool. Your safety depends on it!
Every time you use the rotary tool, you should verify the following:
1. All accessories being used are in good condition and not damaged in any way.
2. Workpiece is properly secured and the accessory is tight.
3. Safety glasses are being worn.
4. After powering on the tool, keep it running about 1 minute in no-load operation.
Failure to adhere to these safety rules can greatly increase the chance of injury.

performed. The following chart outlines those basic speeds (For reference only –

DIGITAL MOTOR CONTROL
This rotary tool has advanced digital controls with a LCD display. These include speed
indicator, speed memory and battery indicator functions. Please refer to the following
instructions to understand how these functions work.
POWER ON/OFF
WARNING!! Always check to make sure the bit is tightly installed in the collet and
the cutting accessory is NOT touching anything before turning the power on.
1. To turn on the tool, press the power on/off button for about 1 second and release it.
The tool will start and the LCD display will read “1”, indicating the tool is running at
first speed setting, and show a symbol, presenting the current capacity of battery
pack.
2. To turn off the tool, quickly press the power on/off button and release it.
The digital display will go blank .
SPEED ADJUSTMENT
The speed of the tool can be adjusted to accommodate varying types of operations. The
tool speed setting is adjustable from 1 to 9.
1. Press the power on/off button for about 1 second and release it. The tool will start
at its slowest speed and the LCD display will read “1”. This indicates the tool is
running at first speed setting.
2. To increase the speed of the tool, quickly press the side of the speed control
button once. The speed setting of the tool will increase by 1 to 2. The LCD
display will read “2”.
3. Continue to increase the speed of the tool by pressing the side of the speed
control button several times. The speed of the tool will increase by 1 each time
until it reaches its maximum speed setting of 9.

1. You also can continue to pressing the side of the speed control button to
quickly increase the speed.
2. If you would like to decrease the speed, just follow the above steps by replacing
the side with the side of the speed control button. The speed will reach its
minimum speed setting of 1.
SETTING THE SPEED CONTROL MEMORY
The speed control has a memory function that can be set to remember the previous
speed setting. By using this feature, the tool will automatically run at the previously
speed setting when the tool is turned on.
1. To memorize the current speed of the tool. Turn on the tool and speed up it until
reaching the speed setting you require. Press the power on/off button for about 2
seconds, and then the LCD display will show a steady symbol.
1. When the symbol is displayed on the LCD display, you still can adjust the
speed setting of the tool by pressing the speed control button. But that means
any speed setting you select will be memorized in time.
2. To check if the current speed setting of the tool is really memorized. Restart the
tool. Verify if the LCD display show the same information as figure below.
2. To turn off the memory function of the tool - Press the power on/off button for
about 2 seconds, and then the symbol on the LCD display will disappear.

DIGITAL SEPARATE SPEED CLUTCH
As an additional safety feature, the speed control buttons can be “locked”.
1. To start the lock feature. Turn on the tool and speed up it until reaching the speed
setting required. Press both sides of the speed control button for about 1 second,
and then the LCD display will show a symbol. That indicates the speed
control buttons are locked.
1. When the lock feature is active, the tool will automatically run at the last speed
setting prior to being turned OFF.
2. When the symbol is shown on the LCD display, you can still follow the
above steps to set the lock feature.
3. When the lock feature is active, the tool still can be turned off by pressing the
power on/off button and the lock feature will be cancelled automatically.
2. To cancel the lock feature press both sides of the speed control button (see Fig.12A)
for about 1 seconds, then the symbol on the LCD display (see Fig.12B) will
disappear. That indicates the speed control button is unlocked.
HAND POSTURE OF USING THE ROTARY TOOL
The first step to using the Rotary Tool is to feel it. Use your hand to feel its weight,
balance and housing shape. For the best control on close work, grip it like a pen
between your thumb and forefinger. For operations of flat-surface grinding or wheel
cut-off, hand-grip it like a pipe.

MAINTENANCE
Remove the battery pack from this tool before cleaning solutions.
This tool is lubricated before it leaves the factory. This lubrication
should last for the life of the tool. No further lubrication is required.
1. When servicing, use only identical parts. Use of any other part may create a hazard
or cause product damage.
2. DO NOT use solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to
damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their
use. Use a clean cloth to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease etc.
3. DO NOT at any time allow brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products,
penetrating oils, and etc. to come in contact with plastic parts. They contain
chemicals that can damage, weaken or destroy plastic.
4. DO NOT abuse power tools. Abusive practices can damage the tool as well as the
workpiece.
5. DO NOT attempt to modify this rotary tool or create accessories not recommended
for use. Any such alteration or modification is misuse and could result in a
hazardous condition leading to possible serious injury. It will also void the
warranty.
CLEANING
With the motor running, blow dirt and dust out of all air vents with dry air at least once
a week. Wear safety glasses when performing this. Exterior plastic parts may be
cleaned a damp cloth and mild detergent. Although these parts are highly are solvent
resistant, NEVER use solvent.

Accessories that may be suitable for one tool may become hazardous when used on

Recommended accessories for use with your tool are available at extra cost from your
local service center.

and adjustments should be performed by certified service centers or other qualified

MANDREL AND DRUM SANDER ASSEMBLY (not included)
Mandrel
Thread a felt polishing wheel or a felt-
polishing tip on to the screw
carefully, and thread down straight on it. Then turn to the collar.
Screw mandrel
Loosen and remove the screw at its tip. Place a wheel or a disc
between the rubber trays. Then tighten the screw. The work
posture is shown here.
Drum sander
Just loosen the screw to shrink the drum (if a old sanding band is
on it, slide the band off). Then slide a sanding band on and tighten
the screw to broaden the drum.
