The Acime Frame Company thanks you for your confidence.
This user manual is for the use of the product's receptionist and its daily user. It provides the
necessary knowledge for its proper use.
Keep it preciously and keep it at the disposal of the users.
Your patients will be able to benefit from all the possibilities offered by the Ambu Fusion 2
chair. We hope that the Ambu Fusion 2 chair will contribute to the quality and success of
patient care.
General points

The environmental component is taken into account in the design of our products, including
the use of the least polluting components on the market (epoxy paint, recyclable steel,
phthalate-free vinyl coating, antibacterial material).
We favour eco-certified cleaning products.
In order tominimise the impact of transport on the environment, we prefer to choose regional
or national suppliers:
45% of our suppliers are regional
98% are national
Our products can be dismantled and are 98% recyclable. (cf § 3 page 29)
The rest of the waste is recovered either by our suppliers for treatment or by a specialised
company.
Since 2009, Acime Frame has implemented the charter of eco-citizen gestures in companies.
Acime Frame pays particular attention to integrating staff with disabilities.
(As such it is exempt from the AGEFIPH* tax).
Acime Frame is an ISO 13485: 2016 certified company.
All our references are designed and manufactured in our factory in France.
Each piece of equipment is checked beforehand on the production site (quality control points,
operation...).
If you have the slightest doubt about the quality of the product you receive, do not hesitate

Upon receipt, it is the responsibility of the receptionist to verify in the presence of the carrier
the integrity of the package received as well as the conformity of the product to the delivery
note.
In case of damage, it is important either to refuse the package, or to accept it by making
documented reservations (photos, comments of the delivery driver ...) and transmitting them
within 48 hours to the carrier and our after-sales service (+33 3 21 10 90 45 or
[email protected]) who will contact you and get in touch with the carrier.
Only if this procedure is followed can the sender and the customer be released from liability.
This product is intended for patient transfers in hospital, emergency or intensive care settings.
The weight of the patient must be taken into account, as the chair can support a maximum load
of 240 kg.
The lifetime of "ACIME FRAME" products is 10 years, but this fact varies according to the use
and maintenance of the product.
Indeed, a misuse of our products, i.e. a use that does not correspond to the function for which
the product is designed and the non-observance of the maintenance instructions can
significantly reduce its longevity and releases the company Acime Frame from any
responsibility.

▪Use this chair according to the instructions in the manual.
▪Never use the chair if you suspect an abnormality, missing part or malfunction. In this
case, contact the customer service department directly at +33 3 21 10 90 45 or a
technician.
▪Inappropriate use of the treatment chair and failure to follow the maintenance and
safety instructions can endanger the patient, significantly reduce its longevity and
relieve the Acime Frame company of all responsibility.
▪Check that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the chair. (see page 11)
▪Unplug the mains plug after using the chair and before each cleaning.
▪Never pull the chair by the power cord.
▪Keep the power and remote control cables away from heat sources or hot surfaces.
▪Do not twist, pull, bend or damage the power cables. Do not pinch them under heavy
objects.
▪Make sure that the power cables will not be crushed or cut when operating the chair.
▪The maximum permitted load is 200 Kg. Any higher load can cause accidents or damage
to the chair.
▪Always assist the patient during sitting.
▪Always secure the patient before making any transfer.
▪Do not drive over obstacles higher than 12 mm.
▪Do not use a slope (up or down) that could cause loss of control of the chair.
▪Do not let children use the stretcher alone and use the remote control.
▪Do not leave people with reduced faculties alone on the chair.
▪Keep children and pets out of the chair's reach.

▪Do not use the chair outdoors. Keep the chair away from humidity and take care not
to pour liquids on it (water, drinks...).
▪Do not use the chair near aerosols or oxygen bottles.
▪Always provide a free manoeuvring area around the chair.
▪To avoid accidents, keep the backrest and leg rest of the chair in an upright position
once it is deactivated. (sitting position for entry and exit, see page 22)
▪Make sure no one is near the backrest or footrest before reclining them.
▪Do not sit on the backrest when the chair is in the horizontal position.
▪Do not sit upside down with your legs on the backrest.
▪Do not sit on the leg rest or the chair may tip over.
▪Do not sit on the barriers.
▪Always get in or out of the chair when sitting in the seated position.
▪
The use of the armrests or any device that enhances their function does not
relieve you of the need to monitor the patient.
▪Do not throw or sit on the remote control. Do not immerse it in water.
▪Do not expose the upholstery to direct sunlight. Danger of burning and damage to the
upholstery.
▪Do not attempt to repair the chair yourself.
▪There is a significant risk of mutual interference if electro-medical equipment is used
during examinations or treatments (ultrasound, encephalogram, etc.). It is
recommended to perform the examination with the product disconnected from the
mains.
▪No modifications may be made to this device without the manufacturer's permission.

Examples of misuse (non-exhaustive list)
▪Use of the chair with a load higher than that recommended.
▪Use of the chair on unsuitable floors, (Damage to the wheel tyres by sharp or pointed
objects), and in particular in the presence of rails with a difference in level greater than
12mm. (Standard EN 12531).
▪Moving the chair with the wheels locked.
▪Use of the chair in an uncleared area may cause force to be applied to the leg and
backrest cylinders.
▪Incorrect use of the barrierss:
oStretching by the barriers.
oForced restraint of patients by the barriers.
oMaintenance faults.
▪Pushing by the IV pole.
▪Sitting on the ends of the chair.
▪Store the chair in a humid area (risk of oxidation of the components) or in an area with
a lot of sunlight (risk of damage to components such as upholstery and risk of patient
burns from contact with the upholstery).
▪Operating the chair with a damaged power cable. It must be replaced with an original
part from the manufacturer, its customer service department or by qualified persons
authorised by the owner to avoid danger.
▪Maintenance of the chair by persons not authorized by the owner.
▪As a reminder, always leave the power plug accessible to disconnect the product from
the power supply.
▪The patient most "at risk" is invalid, agitated, not lucid. The chair and its armrests are
medical devices according to the 93/42/CE directive.
▪The majority of accidents occur at night, when surveillance is less close.

▪As a reminder, it is advisable to always leave the power plug accessible in order to
disconnect the product from the power supply network.
▪The patient most "at risk" is invalid, agitated, not lucid.
The chair and its barriers are medical devices in accordance with Directive 93/42/EC.
▪The chair and its barriers are not designed to prevent a patient from voluntarily leaving
the chair.
▪The majority of accidents occur at night, when supervision is less frequent.
We offer accessories to increase the safety of the barriers.
▪It is important that all persons handling the barriers have received adequate training.
Regular maintenance prevents the risk of detachment or unwanted opening of the
barrier.

Braking
The chair is equipped with centralised braking.
Use your foot to press down on the red brake pad.
When it is at its lowest position, the wheels are locked.
Caution: Always check that the wheels are locked.
Movement
With your foot, press down on the green pad to
place it in the neutral position (horizontal: green
side and red side at the same level).
All 4 wheels are free.
The chair can be moved transversely.
5th directional wheel
With your foot, press down on the green pad in
order to activate the 5th wheel.
The central directional wheel is lowered and exerts
pressure on the ground.
The 5th wheel is a directional wheel to help you roll.
It is located in the middle of the chair and allows it to
swivel.

The barriers are foldable on the foot or head side to free up space on the desired side to
perform surgery.
To unlock the barrier
To unlock the barrier, push the lever (see arrow) and
move the barrier to the right or left.
To return the barrier to the safe position
Move the barrier upwards until the locking
lever engages.
