Aftercompletingthesteps describedinthisguide,you willbeable todeploythereceiverina meeting
roomorclassroomsiteandprovideuserstheabilitytoprojectwirelessly.
Introduction
ScreenBeam1100 receivercansupportwirelessdisplayforWindows10/8.1/7,MacOSandiOS,and some
Androiddevices.Thereceiveroffersa couplemethods forclientdevice toconnect.
•Method1: WirelessdisplayoverPeer-to-Peer(P2P)
Thismethodisalsoknown asWi-FiMiracast;whichiscommonlyavailableinmostWindows10or
8.1and some Androiddevicesshippingsince 2015.Since Wi-FiMiracastfeatureisnative tothe
operating systemand theconnectiondirectfromclientdevice tothe receiver,there’sno need
foradditionalsoftwareor additionalopenportonthenetwork.
•Method2:Wirelessdisplayoverexisting LANinfrastructure
Thismethodrequiresboththe clientdeviceandScreenBeam1100receivertobe ontheLocal
AreaNetwork(LAN).Itisanidealsolution forNon-Miracastcapableclientdevices;suchasdevice
witheitherWindows 7,MacOS,oriOS.ScreenBeamapp installationand some network
configurations maybe requiredtosupportthismethod.
•Method3:WirelessdisplayoverScreenBeamAPnetwork
Thismethodallowsclientdevicestoconnectand projectoverScreenBeam’sAPnetwork.This
mode isusefulfornetworkenvironmentwheremulticastDNS(mDNS)isnotsupported.Inthis
mode,IThastheoption toallow clientdevicestoaccesstheInternetviaScreenBeamAPorvia
cellulardata (ifsupported).

“Touch”cable totheScreenBeamreceiver’sUSBport.
4. Connectoneendofthe receiver’spowersupplytothe receiver’spowerport,andthe otherend

5. Connectanethernetcable totheScreenBeamreceiver’sethernetportand connectthe other
endtoyournetworkswitch/routerwithDHCPIP.

6. TurnontheTVandswitchtothe HDMI inputtowhichthereceiverisconnectedto.
7. Waitabout30 seconds,thenverifytheTVdisplaysthe ReadytoConnect screen.

There are a coupleofoptions toaccessthe ScreenBeamreceiver’smanagementconsole:
