Display Setup
1Install or Replace Backup Batteries (recommended for backup)
1. Remove the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert 3 x AAA batteries into the battery compartment, as shown. Follow the polarity
(+/-) diagram in the battery compartment.

Set the Time, Date & Units
Press the "set" button, located on the front of the display, to enter SET MODE. Once in set mode, the
preference you are currently setting will blink on the display.
To adjust the currently selected (flashing) item, press and release the " " or " " buttons (press
and HOLD to fast adjust).
To save your adjustments, press and release the "set" button to adjust the next preference. The
preference set order is as follows:
•CLOCK HOUR
•CLOCK MINUTE
•CALENDAR MONTH
•CALENDAR DATE
•CALENDAR YEAR
•UNITS SCALE (U.S. standard or metric)
› U.S. Standard: Temperature (F), Wind Speed (mph), Rainfall (inches), Pressure (inHg)
› Metric: Temperature (C), Wind Speed (km/h), Rainfall (mm), Pressure (hPa)
You will automatically exit SET MODE if no buttons are pressed for 10 seconds. Enter SET
MODE at any time by pressing the "set"button.
Display Backlight Settings
This weather station’s color display features three different lighting settings:
High (100%) brightness, Medium (60%) brightness and Low (30%) brightness.
When display is powered with the power adapter, backlight remains on at 100% brightness. Press the
backlight button once to dim to 60% brightness; press again to dim to 30%, press a third time to enter
AUTO-DIM mode. "

NOTE: Pressing and holding the backlight button for 3 seconds will disable the backlight. Once any
button is pressed, the backlight will return to your selected setting.
AUTO-DIM MODE: Automatically adjusts display brightness based on time of day.
6:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. = 100% brightness
9:01 p.m. - 5:59 a.m. = 30% brightness

Placement for Maximum Accuracy
AcuRite sensors are sensitive to surrounding environmental conditions. Proper placement of both
the display and the outdoor sensor are critical to the accuracy and performance of this product.
Device Placement
Place the display in a dry area free of dirt and dust. Display stands
upright for tabletop use or is wall-mountable.
Outdoor Device Placement
For optimal performance and the most accurate readings, follow the instructions included with
the AcuRite Iris®(5-in-1) outdoor sensor.
Important Placement Guidelines
•To ensure accurate temperature measurement, place units out of direct sunlight and away
from any heat sources or vents.
•Display and outdoor sensor must be within 330 ft (100 m) of each other.
•To maximize wireless range, place units away from large metallic items, thick walls, metal
surfaces, or other objects that may limit wireless communication.
•To prevent wireless interference, place both units at least 3 ft (90 cm) away from electronic
devices (TV, computer, microwave, radio, etc.).
Setup is Complete
Once the outdoor sensor and indoor display have been placed, ensure both devices are
powered and on the same A-B-C switch. If so, the outdoor sensor will now synchronize with
the display. It may take a few minutes for synchronization to complete. Please refer to the
troubleshooting section of this manual if anything appears to be functioning improperly.

Wi-Fi Setup for Remote Monitoring
Setup Requires
•Display and AcuRite Iris®Sensor
•2.4 GHz Wireless Network
•Phone, Tablet, or Computer with Wi-Fi
Before You Begin
•Pair the display with the outdoor sensor and mount the sensor outside. Confirm the display
is receiving current data.
•Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz network. The display is equipped with a
Wi-Fi module that only supports 2.4 GHz wireless networks.
•Have your Wi-Fi network's SSID (name) and Password ready. These are case-sensitive.
Connect to Display Wi-Fi
1. Open a web browser on your device. Type “192.168.4.1” in the address bar but do not
press enter.
2. Go to your network settings to find and select the Wi-Fi signal coming from your display;
it will be named by the AcuRite display’s model number.
•Connecting to the display's Wi-Fi will disconnect your device from your own Wi-Fi
network, which may result in an error message of "No Internet" on your device.
•If you do not see the display’s model number under network settings, press and release
the “SET” button on the display to reactivate the Wi-Fi signal.
3. Return to the web browser with “192.168.4.1” in the address bar and press enter. This
should bring you to AcuRite’s Wi-Fi Display Settings website.
•If the Settings website doesn’t open, disconnect from the display’s Wi-Fi on your device
repeat steps 1-3 in a new browser.
•If you get an error stating “This site can’t be reached”, make sure you are still connected
to the display’s Wi-Fi network. You may need to have your device forget your own Wi-
Fi network so that it stays connected to the display’s signal.
4. Select your Wi-Fi network name and enter your network password. If you want to
download your local forecast through My AcuRite, enter your zip code. Press “Save”.
•Look for the icon next to the clock on your display to confirm it is connected.
•To retain Wi-Fi configurations in the event of a power outage, install backup batteries in
the display.
•After entering your credentials and clicking "Save", the site will move to a page that
says "Please wait while we update your settings." If you receive an error stating that
"This site can't be reached" while waiting for your settings to be updated, please
proceed to step 5. Your display should still connect properly to your Wi-Fi network,
allowing you to proceed with setup.
5. Download the My AcuRite mobile app or visit www.myacurite.com to complete setup.
You will need the device ID located on the back of the display.
NOTE: The display can be power cycled at any time to clear Wi-Fi credentials.

OPERATION
Using the Professional Weather Display
Learning Mode
Self-Calibrating Forecasting uses a unique algorithm to analyze changes in pressure over a time
period (called Learning Mode) to determine your altitude. After 14 days, the Learning Mode
icon disappears from the display screen. At the point, the self-calibrated pressure is tuned in to
your location and the unit is ready for superior weather prediction.
Weather Forecast
AcuRite’s patented Self-Calibrating Forecasting provides your personal forecast of weather
conditions for the next 12 to 24 hours by collecting data from the sensor in your backyard. It
generates a forecast with pinpoint accuracy - personalized for your exact location.

Moon Phase
Track the phases of the moon, conveyed through simple lunar phase icons:
Barometric Pressure
Subtle variations in barometric pressure greatly affect the weather. This weather station
displays the current pressure with an arrow icon to indicate the direction the pressure is trending
(FALLING, STEADY, or RISING).
High & Low Records
Historical records are displayed for rainfall, wind speed, and temperature and humidity.
Today’s records automatically clear at 12:00 am midnight every day.
Press and release the indoor records toggle button to cycle through today's high and low
records for indoor temperature and humidity. Press and release the outdoor records toggle
button to cycle through historical rainfall data, as well as daily records for wind speed and
outdoor temperature and humidity. You will automatically exit records if no buttons are
pressed for 8 seconds.
To manually clear a HIGH or LOW record, press and release the RESET button, located in
the battery compartment, while viewing the record(s) you wish to clear. Dashes display to
confirm you have cleared the record(s).
