DSX-3 Migration Modules
Quick Reference Guide
ADC’s new DSX-3 migration modules are a simple way to seamlessly cap other DSX provider’s
lineups and migrate to ADC’s DSX-3 solutions. As an industry leader, ADC’s DSX-3 solutions
offer superior performance, service, and support. Add to that our strategic pricing incentives
and easy-to-use cross-reference tools, we ensure a simple transition requiring minimal service
provider resources.
Our robust DSX jack design is constructed with mechanical support to ensure lifetime service, not
merely a solder type connection on a printed circuit board. Add to this ADC’s proven early “make-
before-break” switching design. Make-before-break contacts ensure that high speed signals never
go open or unterminated during in-service patching. DS3 signals are always terminated to a 75
ohm load preventing signal oscillation that can lead to bit-errors during patching. ADC’s highly
durable BNC is standard. Its solid cylinder design has a closed entry contact to prevent spring
contact overstress. To ensure true 75 ohm impedance, we don’t use Teflon insulators. ADC’s
sealed jacks have firewall protection preventing environmental contaminants from disturbing
switch contacts.
