TheSFPprovidesasingleelectricalinterfacetoaphysical
interface.
Installedintoanappropriatemodule,thisSFPprovidesa10/100/
1000Mbpsfullduplexdata‐link.

INSTALLATION
ToinstalltheSFPintoanappropriatemodule,completethe
followingsteps:
InspecttheSFP.Ifdamaged,fileaclaimwiththecarrierandthen
contactADTRANCustomerSupport.
CAUTION
!
Ifpresent,donotremovetheprotectiveendcapfromtheSFP
untiltheCat5cableisreadytobeconnected.
1. InserttheSFPintotheSFPcageonthemodule.Ensurethe
latchontheSFPisfacingupwardforcorrectinstallation.
2. SlidetheSFPallthewayintotheSFPcageuntilthereisan
audible“click”.
NOTE
♦ ThelatchontheSFPisusedtoremovetheSFPfromthecage
onthecircuitcard.
♦ TheSFPmeetsorexceedsalltheapplicablerequirementsof
NEBS,TelcordiaGR‐63‐CORE,andGR‐1089‐CORE.
