GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

produce heat.
xi. Power cord must be accessible to allow for the removal of the power from the product.
xii. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
xiii. To reduce the risk of electric shock and/or damage to this product, never handle or touch this unit or
power cord if your hands are wet or damp.
xiv. To avoid electric shock, never stick anything in the slots on the case or remove the cover.
Be careful with electricity:
Power outlet: To prevent electric shock, be sure the electrical plug used
on the product power cord
matches the electrical outlet used to supply
power to the AEGIS product. Use only the power adapter
and power
connection cables designed for this unit.
Power Adaptor: Be sure the power adaptor is 24V/1.5A,please matching the
rating of the power voltage.
Lightning: For protection from lightning or when the product is left unattended for
a long period,
disconnect it from the power source.
ESD: Handle the product with proper ESD care. Failure to do so can result in failure.

INTRODUCTION
aegis 4 inputs to HDMI Converter Box allows 4 different sources, VGA+3.5mm audio, mini
DisplayPort & HDMI signal & USB-C input convert to TX-RJ45 link to RX. This converter box
is very convenient for user to have different audio/video devices to connect to TV/Monitor
with HDMI port and support distance up to 60M.
This model has source auto-detect function, therefore the user can switch input sources
without pressing the button. The HDMI output support resolution up to 4K2K@60Hz. It
also support Ethernet pass through function.
FEATURES
Allow 4 different source, VGA+3.5mm audio, mini DisplayPort, HDMI input and USB-C
convert to HDMI via Cat6 cable connect to the Receiver.
Support distance up to 60M.
User is able to charge their devices through USB-A and USB-C(5V2A)
Support Ethernet by-pass function.
Input source auto-detect function
110V-240V Power Socket (Pass through)
Resolution is up to 4K2K@60Hz.
LED light indication with touch panel.

PANEL DESCRIPTION
1. 110V –240V Power Socket
Universal Power Socket for supplying power to user’s device.
2. Mini DP Input
Connect mini DP between user’s source devices.
3. HDMI Input
Connect HDMI cable between this port and user’s source device.
4. VGA+3.5mm with Audio Input
Connect VGA & 3.5mm Audio cable between this port and user source device. (Max.
resolution 1080p)
5. USB-C Input
Connect Type-C cable between this port and user sources device.

6. LED Touch Panel
User may switch input sources by manually touch desired input.
Green LED light will indicate current selected input.
Power ON –Green LED indication
Power OFF –Red LED indication
7. Ethernet Input
Connect LAN cable between this port and PC or Laptop of RJ45 port.
8. USB-A Charger
Connect USB-A cable to this port. This port is for charging only. 5V2A
9. USB-C Charger
Connect USB Type-C cable to this port. This port is for charging only.5V2A
10. HDMI Local Out
TAP-AV-1003 supports one HDMI local output for monitoring.
11. RJ45 Out for Extension
Connect RJ45 to Extender 60M with Cat6 cable.
12. Power Socket
Connect to local power with power cord.
13. Power Input
Connect 24V DC power supply to this port
14. Ethernet
Connect this port with LAN cable to a Router, Wifi or Internet access port.

Extender Unit :
PANEL DESCRIPTION
1. HDMI OUT:
Connect HDMI cable to user’s monitor or output device.
2. Power LED:
LED Green indicates the power is ON
3. LINK:
LED Orange blinks indicate Rx is linked with TAP-AV-1003
LED Orange always on indicates HDMI is sync with input source.
4. RJ45 Input:
Connect Cat6 cable between this port and TAP-AV-1003 RJ45 output port.

CONNECTING AND OPERATING
1. Connect 24V DC power supply to the converter box.
2. Connect one HDMI Cable between the HDMI input port of converter box and source
device.
3. Connect one VGA+3.5mm Cable between the VGA+3.5mm input port of converter
box and source device.
4. Connect one Type-C Cable between the Type-C input port of converter box and
source device.
5. Connect one Mini DisplayPort cable between the Mini DisplayPort input port of
converter box and source device.
6. All Sources can be auto-detect, or you can press the switch button for manually
operation.
7. Connect Cat6 cable between TAP-AV-1003 RJ45 out port and the RJ45 port of
Receiver to extend the distance up to 60M.
8. Connect one HDMI cable between output port of Receiver and Display device.
9. HDMI Local out and Extender HDMI Out, for 4K/60Hz resolution, both output
devices are required 4K/60Hz, otherwise output resolution will shows the lowest
resolution of user’s devices.

WARRANTY
Limited 3Year Warranty
aegis Multimedia INC. (“Manufacturer”) warrants that this product is free of defects in both
materials and workmanship for a period of 3 years as defined herein for parts and labor
from date of purchase. This Limited Warranty covers products purchased in the year 2021
and after. During the warranty period, and upon proof of purchase, the product will be
repaired or replaced (with same or similar model) at our option without charge for parts or
labor for the specified product lifetime warranty period.
This warranty shall not apply if any of the following:
A. The product has been damaged by negligence, accident, lightning, water, or
mishandling.
B. The product has not been operated in accordance with procedures specified in
operating instructions.,
C. The product has been repaired and or altered by other than the manufacturer or
authorized service center.
D. The product's original serial number has been modified or removed.
E. External equipment other than supplied by the manufacturer, in the determination of
a manufacturer, shall have affected the performance, safety or reliability of the
product.
F. Part(s) are no longer available for the product.
If the product needs repair or replacement during the specified warranty period, the
product should be shipped back to Manufacturer at Purchaser's expense. Repaired or
replaced product shall be returned to Purchaser by standard shipping methods at
Manufacturer's discretion. Express shipping will be at the expense of the Purchaser.
No other warranty, express or implied other than Manufacturers shall apply.
The manufacturer does not assume any responsibility for consequential damages, expenses
or loss of revenue or property, inconvenience or interruption in operation experienced by
the customer due to a malfunction of the purchased equipment. No warranty service
performed on any product shall extend the applicable warranty period. This warranty does
not cover damage to the equipment during shipping and Manufacturer assumes no
responsibility for such damage. This product warranty extends to the original purchaser only
and will be null and avoid upon any assignment or transfer.
