While in use, always maintain a correct position according to the lift use instructions,
and always look in the direction of travel.
Once aboard the lift, you must remain in the correct position. Ensure that you have
stability on the lift platform before moving the lift platform.
Check that no items such as clothing, umbrellas, canes, hair, etc. can be become
tangled with the moving portions of the lift.

not tamper with them for any reason. Testing of the correct operation of these

or indicated otherwise on the lift itself. Do not exceed this value for any reason
whatsoever.
If your lift is equipped with multiple wireless control buttons, be aware these devices
work over a 50-foot radius. Someone with a wireless controller who is out of
sight of the lift can activate it. Always unplug your lift before cleaning or
maintaining it to prevent someone inadvertently using a call button to
activate the lift and accidently causing injury or death.
The lift must be properly maintained in order to work well over time. See the
Maintenance Section of this Guide.
Use extra caution if there is ice or snow on the platform. Ice and snow not only make
the platform slippery but could also push the weight of the platform over its
limits. Remove ice and snow before using the lift.
If the wire cable should jump out of the spool and wrap itself around the hoist axle,
call for assistance. Do not attempt to fix this without our assistance.

OPERATING YOUR LIFT
Step 1
Ensure the lift platform is completely level with the floor or landing where you reside.
Refer to the Installation Manual to adjust the platform to the Landing height as
needed. Only proceed when the platform is completely level to the floor or landing
on which you reside.
Step 2
Lift the latch to unsecure and open the gate and proceed to enter the lift platform
area.
Step 3
Be sure to re-secure the latch to lock the gate. For a wheelchair, make sure the
wheelchair is completely within the platform area and that all wheels are locked. If
you are standing, make sure your body is completely within the lift platform area,
stand still, and hold firmly onto the platform rails.
Step 4
Press the appropriate UP or DOWN button on the controller to raise or lower the lift
until it is completely level with the landing or floor onto which you wish to exit.
Step 5
Unlock the wheels on the wheelchair, unsecure the latch and open the gate, and exit
the lift platform onto your destination floor or landing.
Step 6
Re-secure the lift gate in the closed position.
A COMMON ADJUSTMENT
➔If your lift platform will not go down under only its own weight, OR
➔if you have more platform side-to-side wobble than you would like,
then please read the following:
It is critical that the four (4) adjustment bolts across the back of the collar are
adjusted properly. These adjustments bolts require 9/16" wrenches.
These bolts have self-locking nuts. These self-locking nuts do NOT need to be tight in
order to stay on. If any these four nuts are too tight the platform may not descend as
the hoist pays out the wire rope. If this happens, the hoist may produce several
_____________________________________________________________________________________

_____________________________________________________________________________________
inches (or feet) of slack, and the platform may then fall until the slack is used up or
until the anti-fall device engages and stops the platform. Either conditions is
undesirable.
Therefore do the following:
1) Adjust the top three bolts on the back of the platform collar so that they (the bolts
and the nuts) may be rotated by just with finger pressure.
2) Adjust the single bolt on the back, near the bottom of the collar so that side to
side wobble is acceptable and the unit descends smoothly with no weight on the
platform. A good way to accomplish this is to loosen the bottom bolt until it can
barely be turned by finger pressure. Then run the platform up and down several
times, tightening the nut half a turn each time, until the platform will not come
down under its own weight. Then loosen the nut a quarter turn until the platform
can again descend under its own weight.
It is better to be too loose than too tight.
Adjusting these bolts in this manner will minimize side-to-side wobble while
allowing the platform to move freely.
OPERATING PRECAUTIONS
Although covered in the Warnings Section previously, a few safety precautions are
worth repeating:
●Ensure that you have stability on the lift platform before setting the
platform in motion.
●Make sure no items such as clothing, umbrellas, canes, hair, etc. can be
become tangled with the moving portions of the lift.
●Pay particular attention that no persons or objects are in the path of
the lift platform.
●Do not exceed the maximum lift capacity of 500 lbs. unless customized
to 750 lbs. or indicated otherwise on the lift itself.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE: If your lift is equipped with multiple wireless control buttons, be aware
these devices work over a 50-foot radius. Always unplug your lift before
cleaning or maintaining it to prevent someone inadvertently using a call
button to activate the lift and accidently causing injury or death.

cable quickly from the SRL body and insure that it automatically engages.
