NEW AGA 7 Series Range
Introducing:
R7 and eR7 Range Cookers
September 2019
AGA 7 Series September 2019
2
Background
AGA: A progressively modern iconic brand with traditional values
Our aim: To make life good through thoughtful design using honest, hardworking materials
to create relevant, distinctive products that stand the test of the time.
AGA For Life
Our core product offering is radiant-heat cooking, with food simply tasting better because
of the direct heat that emanates from cast-iron ovens - retaining natural goodness and
flavours. This is supported by a range of best-in-class conventional range cookers.
AGA has continued to invest in innovative new products and initiatives to develop future
sales and appeal to a wider audience and new customer demographic. This will enable us
to maintain and further develop our market leading position. AGA Total Control and AGA
Dual Control have proved hugely popular in recent years. These have now been
upgraded to create the new AGA 7 Series range of cookers with enhanced features and
improved functionality giving the consumer even greater flexibility whilst still producing the
same great radiant heat cooking and warmth into the home. We have maintained the
powerful DNA and AGA genes throughout.
We are delighted to launch the new AGA R7 and eR7 offering improved premium
aesthetics and functionality that AGA, as a luxury brand, is renowned for. The AGA R7 will
replace the AGA Dual Control offering 24/7 radiant heat and the AGA eR7 will replace the
AGA Total Control offering everyday radiant heat with independently controllable ovens
and hotplates.
Both models are ELECTRIC.
The NEW 7 Series family includes the following models:
R7 100
R7 150/150i
eR7 100
eR7 150/150i
The R7 and eR7 100 models are 3-oven and the R7 and eR7 150 models are 5-oven.

Hob Configuration
All the AGA R7 and eR7 models feature a boiling plate and simmering plate. The R7 and
eR7 150 models also offer a choice of either a warming plate or single-zone induction hob.
The hob has been redesigned so that hotplates are now symmetrical.

AGA R7 and eR7 150:
R7 Oven Control Features
The AGA R7 100 has three ovens, which operate as one creating three distinct cooking
zones, whilst the R7 150 has the additional hot cupboard with a slow cooking oven and
warming oven operated together by a switch on the front fascia.
The R7 features two new settings for the ovens, compared to the Dual Control –High
and Low - to given additional flexibility for the owner.
NB: Vent fan switch on external vent models only
AGA 7 Series September 2019
6
Normal –for everyday use, maintains the ovens at a temperature suitable for
roasting, baking and simmering in the respective ovens.
Low –for reduced temperature cooking (10ºC lower than normal). To
achieve the lower cooking temperature from normal, allow 2½hours before
intended use. To return to normal cooking temperature from this mode allow
approximately 2 hours before intended use.
High –for higher temperature cooking (10ºC higher than normal). To
achieve the higher cooking temperature from normal, allow 2 hours before
intended use. To return to normal cooking temperature from this mode allow
approximately 2½hours before intended use.
Slumber –Slumber mode on the eR7 and R7 allows the cooker to retain
warmth in the appliance at reduced energy giving best economy. To achieve
normal cooking temperature from this mode allow approximately 3½hours
before intended use.
Oven temperature indication
For each mode the respective icon will flash while warming up, once the
desired temperature is reached the respective icon will be illuminated ‘solid’
red. The icon remains ‘solid’ and does not flash when cooling down between
modes.
NOTE: A loose metal perforated plate is positioned in the top of the baking oven in order to
optimise cooking performance. It must remain in place at all times while the cooker is in
operation.
Venting: All models are supplied as in room venting models as standard. If required, an
external venting kit can be ordered separately.
The AGA 7 series ovens are vented through the shroud located on top of the AGA
between the two hotplates unless the AGA powered vent kit has been fitted. The venting
system is designed for venting the moisture from the ovens.
It is recommended to install a cooker hood above the AGA 7 series cooker if the AGA
powered vent kit is not fitted. The cooker hood should be positioned not less than the
minimum height as recommended by the manufacturer from the top of the AGA. The
existing AGA cooker range is recommended.

eR7 Oven Control Features
The AGA eR7 100 has three ovens, which operate independently of each other and of the
hotplates, whilst the eR7 150 has the additional hotcupboard with a slow cooking oven and
warming oven operated together by a switch on the front fascia.
The eR7 control panel has a capacitance touch-screen with LED indicators and character
display to indicate which zone is activated and what setting is selected. An audible beep
will confirm selection.
NB: Vent Fan ON/OFF button only operational with external vent models
Roasting Oven
The roasting oven has five pre-set cook settings R9, R8, R7, R6 and B4 which provide
flexibility to vary the oven temperature from very hot to moderate. This oven can therefore
operate as a second baking oven.
AGA 7 Series September 2019
8
eR7 Oven Control Features / cont.
Baking Oven
The baking oven has four pre-set cook settings B4, B3, B2 and B1 which gives the
flexibility to vary the oven temperature from moderate to cool. Cooking sweets and
savoury together is no problem as the flavours do not mix. This oven can therefore
operate as a second simmering oven.
When referencing recipes from cookbooks, the eR7 pre-set cook settings are equivalent to
the Gas Mark number.
Simmering Oven
Long, slow cooking in the simmering oven develops flavours and makes the toughest meat
tender. Its large capacity means several pans can be stacked here; soup, casserole,
steamed rice, steamed carrots and poached pears all cooking simultaneously, without any
danger of burning. The oven has a fixed temperature.
Venting
In room venting only, an external venting kit can be ordered separately –see page 6.
Programmer
The AGA eR7 cooker also comes with a Handset which
can be used to programme the ovens.
It displays the time, date and programme events. The
hotplates work on Manual only.
Cooking on the AGA eR7
The Aga eR7 is designed to give flexibility when cooking a range of dishes through the
four settings in the baking oven and the five settings in the roasting oven, as well as the
long slow cooking in the simmering oven.
The guide below gives an indication of the settings to use for specific foods, but the degree
of cooking is often down to personal taste and users will soon find the settings which suit
them.

AGA Hotcupboard –R7 150 and eR7 150
Slow Cooking Oven plus Warming Oven
These additional ovens feature on both the R7 150 and eR7 150 are heated by a single
element at the rear of the oven cavity. It is operated by a single push ON-OFF button
located on the left hand side of the hotcupboard top plate and can be turned ON and OFF
when required. These ovens are not cast iron on the interior.
The slow cooking oven has similar characteristics of the simmering oven and should be
utilised in a similar manner. It delivers a gentler convected heat making it better suited for
longer cooking times especially for overnight cooking, for example rich fruit cakes and
celebration cakes. The cooking of meringues may also be better suited for this oven.
Venting
These ovens vent into the room, mechanical venting to the outside is not available.
Colours
All AGA 7 Series products will be available in the core 16 AGA colours.

FAQ’s
Q. Is the Dual Control gas model available after October?
A. Yes for the foreseeable future.
Q. Is the R7 available as a gas model?
A. There are no plans to create a gas hob variant of this product.
Q. Are enamelled hotplate lids available?
A. Yes, they are available with these models.
Q. Will there be the option for coloured side panels?
A. Not for the foreseeable future.
Q. Is the AGA bespoke colour service available?
A. Yes, bespoke colours are available.
Q. How does Induction work?
A. When a suitable pan is placed on an Induction zone, an inductor below the hob surface
creates a magnetic field. This energy is passed straight through to the pan, which is far more
efficient than heating the glass surface. When the pan is removed the magnetic current stops.
Q. How safe is it?
A. An Induction hob is much safer as there are no naked flames or directly heated
surfaces, touching a hot induction zone, although painful, will not cause serious burns,
making it far safer. It is also virtually impossible to ignite a spillage.
Q. Do I need special Cookware?
A. Yes, induction cooking requires compatible cookware. Cast iron cookware such as
griddle pans, cook pots that are made of, or coated, in a ferrous material will also work but
it is not recommended due to the risk of scratching or damaging the glass hob.
NOTE: A simple way to find out if a pan is Induction compatible is to use the "fridge magnet
test" if a magnet will stick to the base of the pan, it will work.
Q. Is it as controllable as Gas?
A. Induction is the most responsive form of cooking. The extreme precision that Induction
provides is perfect for gentle warming like melting chocolate which can be done directly in
the pan. Another benefit is perfectly even cooking with no ‘hot spots’.
Q. How do you clean the induction Hob?
A. As the surface does not get hot, spilled food does not burn. The Induction hob can be
wiped clean with a damp cloth.
