4. Neverattachthehopperropetoanypartofyourbody
orclothing!Neverholdontotheropewhiletowing
thesweeper!Attachtheropetothetowingvehicleto
keepitawayfromwheelsandrotatingparts.
5. Operatethesweeperatreducedspeedonrough
terrain,nearditchesandonhillsidestopreventlossof
control.
6. Vehiclebrakingandstabilitymaybeaffectedwiththe
attachmentofthissweeper.
7. Donotllsweepertomaximumcapacitywithout
checkingthecapabilityofthetowingvehicletosafely
pullandstopwiththesweeperattached.Stay off of
steep slopes.
8. Stopandinspectvehicleandsweeperfordamage
afterstrikinganobject.Repairanydamagebefore
continuingoperation.
9. Keepsweeperawayfromre.Excessiveheatcan
damagethebrushesandhopperbagandcould
causethebaganditscontentstoburn.
10.Beforestoringthesweeper,alwaysemptythehopper
bagtoavoidspontaneouscombustion.
11.Followmaintenanceandlubricationinstructionsas
outlinedinthemaintenancesectionofthismanual.

STEP 1 - REMOVE PARTS FROM CARTON
• Removethesweeperhousing,loosepartsand
hardwarepackagefromthecarton.Layouttheparts
andhardwareasshownonpages2and3.
STEP 2 - INSTALL HITCH TUBES
• Thehitchtubesarestampedwitha"77L"forthe
lefttubeanda"76R"fortherighttube.Thesweeper
housingismarkedwithan"L"ontheleftsideandan
"R"ontherightside.Seegure1.
• Holdthelefthitchtubeagainsttheleftsideofthe
sweepersothatthe"77L"onthetubefacesaway
fromthesweeper.Attachthehitchtubeusingtwo
5/16"x1-3/4"hexboltsand5/16"nylocknuts.Repeat
fortherighthitchtube,butwiththe"76R"facingin
towardtherightsideofthesweeper.Do not tighten
yet.Seegure1.
STEP 3 - REMOVE PLASTIC TIE
• Removetheplastictiethatfastenstheheight
adjustmenttubetothefrontofthesweeperhousing.

STEP 5 - MEASURE TRACTOR HITCH
• Usethemarkalongthesideofthispagetomeasure
theheightofthetractorhitch.Themarkis10"fromthe
bottomofthepage.Ifthetractorhitchislessthan10"
abovetheground,gotoSTEP 6a.Ifthetractorhitchis
10"ormoreabovetheground,gotoSTEP 6b.

andthestraighthitchbracketunderneaththehitch
tubes.Inserttwo5/16"x2-1/4"hexboltsthroughthe
brackets,withtherearhexboltbetweenthecrossbolts
inthehitchtubes.Securethehexboltswithtwo5/16"
nylocknuts.Seegure4.Do not tighten yet.
• Assemblehitchpin,thetwolargespacersandthe
hairpincottertothehitchbrackets.Seegure4.
STEP 7 - TIGHTEN BOLTS
• Tightenthefourboltsingure1thatfastenthehitch
tubestothesweeperhousing.Next,tightenthetwo
boltsingure2thatfastentheendsofthehitchtubes
together.Finally,tightenthetwoboltsingure3or4
thatfastenthehitchbracketstothehitchtubes.
STEP 8 - ATTACH HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
PLATE
• Attachtheheightadjustmentplatetothesweeper
housingusingthree5/16"x1"carriagebolts,spacers
(placedbetweenplateandhousing)and5/16"nylock
nuts.Seegure5.
Hint:Pushtheheightadjustmenttubedownoutofthe
waytoalloweasieraccesstoholesinsweeperhousing.
Hint:Attachthebolts,spacersandnutstooneholeata
timestartingwiththetopholetoeaseassembly.
STEP 9 - ATTACH HANDLE
• Assembletheheightadjustmenthandletotheheight
adjustbracketatthefrontofthesweeperhousing.
Usetwo5/16"x3/4"hexboltsand5/16"nylocknuts.

STEP 15 - ASSEMBLE SUPPORT RODS
IMPORTANT: Do notoverbendthesupportrodsduring
thefollowingstep.Overbendingwilldecreasethesupporting
tensionoftherods.
• Assemble the two hopper support rods as shown in
gure16.Placetheendsoftherodsintotheholesin
theupperandlowerhoppertubes,exingtherodjust
enoughtotintotheholesinthetubes.
STEP 14 - ATTACH BAG SIDES
• Foldthebagapsaroundthelowerhoppertubesand
attachtothebagbottomusingthesnaps.Seegure

IMPORTANT: Toobtainthebestperformancefromyour
sweeper, arrangethespacers so that the sweeperbag is
approximatelylevelwiththegroundandapproximately5"to
