DESCRIPTION:
For outdoor applications or where small remote
stations are required, the NE-DA and NE-JA can
be used with the NEM and NDR systems. Each
unitfeaturestheabilitytoactivateanexternalrelay
(RY-PA) from the time a call is placed until
answered.Thisoutputcanbeusedforcamera call-
up or external call signal activation. Door stations
areweather resistantanddesigned foroutdooruse.
The NE-DA is surface mount, and the NE-JA flush
mounts into a 2-gang box.

SPECIFICATIONS:
Power source: Supplied by master
Calling: Pressing call button activates tone and LED at master, remaining until answered
Communication: Hands free at remote
Wiring: 2 wires homerun from each door station, or
1 common wire plus 1 individual wire per door station, looped.
* With extra output at sub: 2 common plus 1 individual wire per sub.
2 wires from external relay to device being activated
Use Aiphone #822202 (22AWG) or #821802 (18AWG) 2-conductor wire
or use 82-series multi-conductor shielded wire.
Wiring Distance: 420’ w/ 22AWG; 1000’ w/18AWG
Mounting: NE-DA: Surface mounts to 1-gang box
NE-JA: Flush mounts into 2-gang box

ARCHITECTS/ENGINEERS’ SPECIFICATIONS:
Door stations for the NEM system (and all related systems)
shall be available in both surface mount (NE-DA) and flush
mount (NE-JA) styles. Each unit shall have a call button to
signal the master station, and provide hands free
communication when the master station answers the call.
There shall be a call assurance LED on each unit, indicating
that a call has been placed to the master station.
Each unit shall have the option of adding an external relay,
providing a contact closure from the time a call is placed until
it is answered. The relay output can be connected to
notify an auxiliary system of a call from the intercom.
Surfacemount model NE-DA shall beconstructed of high
impact ABS brown plastic, mounted on a 1-gang box or
ring. Flush mount model NE-JA shall have a stainless
steel faceplate, and shall mount in a standard 2-gang
electrical box.
Units shall be manufactured by Aiphone.
