DESCRIPTION
The AirKing Oscillating Ceramic Heater features 2 heat settings
and a fan only setting.The heater oscillates 120°and comes with
a remote control for convenience.This unit also features a built in
timer to allow up to 7.5 hours of operation before automatic shut-
down and comes with a 6ft.(1.82m) 16/3 grounded cordset.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
1. Use this Heater only as described in this manual. Any
other use not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons.
2. This Heater is intended for GENERAL USE ONLY.
3. Make certain that the power source conforms to the elec-
trical requirements of the Heater.
4. Extreme caution is necessary when any Heater is used
by or near children or invalids and whenever the Heater is
left operating unattended.
5. The power cord is equipped with a three-prong grounded
plugthat must beinserted into a matching receptacle.Un-
der no circumstances must the grounding prong be cut
off the plug. Where a two-prong wall receptacle is en-
countered, it must be replaced with a properly grounded
three-prongreceptacle,installed in accordancewith the Na-
tional Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes
and ordinances. This work must be done only by a quali-
fied electrician, using copper wire only.
WARNING: USE OF A THREE-PRONG TO TWO-PRONG
ADAPTER IS NOT RECOMMENDED. IMPROPER CONNEC-
TION MAY CREATETHE RISK OF ELECTROCUTION. USE
OF SUCH ADAPTERS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN CANADA.
6. Where possible, avoid the use of extension cords because
the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. If
they must be used, minimize the risk of overheating by en-
suring that they are CUL/UL listed, a minimumNo.14 AWG,
rated not less than 1875 watts and of proper length. Never
useasingle extensioncord to operate more thanoneHeater.
7. Do not operate any Heater with a damaged cord or plug or
after the Heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged
in any manner. Return Heater to authorized service facility for
examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair.
8. Unplug power cord before servicing or moving the Heater.
Always unplug Heater when not in use.
WARNING:DO NOT DEPEND ONTHE ON/OFF SWITCH AS
THE SOLE MEANS OF DISCONNECTING POWER WHEN
SERVICING OR MOVINGTHE HEATER. ALWAYS UNPLUG
THE POWER CORD.
9. Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust opening as it may cause an electric
shockor fire, or damagethe Heater. Donot block or tamper
with the Heater in any manner while it is in operation.
10. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or ex-
haust in any manner. Do not place on soft surfaces, like a
bed, where openings may become blocked.
11. Always place the Heater on a stable, flat, level surface when op-
erating, to avoid the chance of the Heater overturning. Locate
the Power Cord so the Heater or other objects are not resting on
it. Do not run Power Cord under carpeting. Do not cover Power
Cord with throw rugs, runners, or the like. Arrange Power Cord
away from room traffic and where it will not be tripped over.
12.This Heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let
bare skin touch hot surfaces. Always use handle when
moving this Heater. Keep combustible materials, such as
furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at
least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the Heater and keep
them at least 1 foot (0.3 m) from the sides and rear.
13. A Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. It
must NOT be used in potentially dangerous locations such
as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden or wet atmo-
spheres. Heater is intended for general use ONLY.
14.This Heater is not intended for use in wet or damp locations.
Never locate a Heater where it may fall into a bathtub or
other water container.
15. Do not use Heater outdoors.

OPERATION
Control Panel:(Figure 1)
1. When the heater is plugged in there will be a “beep”
to indicate that there is power to the unit.
2. ON/FUNCTION button.When this button is pushed,
HIGH indicator light comes on and heater is in the
high heat mode. (1500 watts)
3. Press the ON/FUNCTION button again the HIGH
indicator light goes off and the LOW indicator light
comes on and the heater is now in the low heat
mode. (900 watts)
4. Pressthe ON/FUNCTIONbutton again and the LOW
indicator light goes off and the FAN indicator light
comes on and the heater is in fan only mode.
5. OFF button – Press this button will shut the
heater off.
6. “TIMER” button. Press it once and the light comes
on indicating 1/2 hour of time.Press it again and the
light indicates 1 hour.Press it a third time and it indi-
cates 1.5 hours.The total time that can be indicated
atone timeis 7.5hours.Continuingto press the timer
button will cycle through the settings until all timer
lights are off.When the time indicator lights are off,
the heater will run continuously.
7. The“SWING” button. Press this button andthe swing
light comes on and the heater will oscillate back and
fourth a full 120 degrees. Press it again and the light
will go out and the oscillation will stop.
8. The heater must be placed flat on the floor or the tip-
over switch will shut it off automatically.
9. To disconnect Heater, press “ON/OFF” button, then
remove plug from outlet

Remote Control: (Figure 2)
1. Press the ON-HIGH or ON-LOW button will start the
heater on either HIGH or LOW heat.
2. The OFF, TIMER and SWING buttons function in the
exact same manner as listed in steps 5 through 7 of
the operating instructions listed above.
3. The remote control is powered by two AAA batteries
supplied.There is a cover on the back of the remote
control that can be removed for replacement of the
batteries as required.
SAFETY FEATURES
1. A Tip-Over Switch is built into the unit to prevent opera-
tion if the Heater is tipped over.
2. A Thermal Overload Protector and aThermal Fuse are
built into the unit to prevent overheating.
3. A In-Line Fuse is built into the unit to prevent operation
in the event of an overload.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE
MOVING OR SERVICING.
DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER.
CLEANING:Clean the filter net atleast once a month, more
often if dirty. A dirty filter could restrict the air flow and
cause the Heater to function improperly or shut down.
Do Not Attempt To Remove Inlet Grill FromThe Heater.
1. Unplug the Heater from power source.
2. Vacuum Rear Grill area of Heater with Vacuum Brush
Attachment to remove lint and dirt from internal filter.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TAKE HEATER APART (Figure
3).
Do not remove grill guard or allow Heater to be oper-
ated without grill guard in place.
3. Clean the body with a soft cloth. (NEVER USE ALCO-
HOL OR SOLVENTS.)
STORAGE: Store the Heater with these instructions in
the original carton in a cool, dry place.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
INFORMACIÓN DE SEGURIDAD GENERAL
1. Utilice este calefactor únicamente de la manera descrita
en este manual. Cualquier otro empleo no recomendado
porel fabricante puede ocasionar incendio,choqueeléctrico
o lesiones personales.
2. Este calefactor es para USO GENERAL ÚNICAMENTE.
3. Asegúrese que la fuente de alimentación cumpla con los
requerimientos eléctricos del calefactor.
4. Sedebetener sumo cuidado cuando un calefactorseausado
porocerca de niños opersonasminusválidas,yencualquier
momento que el calefactor funcione desatendido.
5. El cordón eléctrico tiene un enchufe de tres clavijas con
puesta a tierra que debe insertarse en un receptáculo
correspondiente.Bajo ningunacircunstancia debe cortarse
la clavija de puesta a tierra del enchufe. Si se tiene un
receptáculo de pared para enchufe de dos clavijas, debe
reemplazarse por un receptáculo con puesta a tierra para
enchufe de tres clavijas, instalado de acuerdo con lo
estipulado por el Código Eléctrico Nacional (NEC, EE.UU.)
y todos los códigos y normas locales vigentes. Este trabajo
debe ser realizado por un electricista competente, usando
alambre de cobre únicamente.
ADVERTENCIA: NO SE RECOMIENDA EL USO DE UN

6. Siempre que sea posible, evite el uso de cordones de
extensión, ya que el cordón de extensión puede
sobrecalentarse y presentar un riesgo de incendio. Si es
necesario usarlos, reduzca al mínimo el riesgo de
sobrecalentamiento asegurándose que sean certificados
por CUL/UL, que sean de calibre 14 AWG como mínimo
con una capacidad nominal de por lo menos 1875 vatios y
que sean del largo adecuado. Nunca use un solo cordón
de extensión para conectar más de un calefactor.
7. No use ningún calefactor con un cordón o enchufe dañado,
o después que el calefactor presente cualquier seña de
avería, se deje caer o se dañe de cualquier manera.
Devuelva el calefactor a un centro de servicio autorizado
para revisión, ajuste eléctrico o mecánico o reparación.
8. Desenchufe el cordón eléctrico antes de trasladar o dar
servicio al calefactor. Siempre desenchufe el calefactor
cuando no esté en uso.
ADVERTENCIA: NO CONFÍE ÚNICAMENTE EN EL CON-
TROL DE ENCENDIDO PARA DESCONECTAR LA ENERGÍA
AL TRASLADAR O DAR SERVICIO AL CALEFACTOR.
SIEMPRE DESENCHUFE EL CORDÓN ELÉCTRICO.
9. No inserte ni permita la entrada de los dedos u objetos
extraños en cualquier abertura de ventilación o escape ya
quesepuede causar un choqueeléctrico o incendio, o dañar
el calefactor. No obstruya ni intervenga en el calefactor de
ninguna manera mientras está encendido.
10. Para evitar la posibilidad de incendio, no obstruya las
entradas o salidas de aire de cualquier manera.No use la
unidad sobre superficies blandas, tales como una cama,
en donde las aberturas puedan quedar obstruidas.
11. Siempre coloque el calefactor sobre una superficie plana,
nivelada y estable durante el uso para evitar que se vuelque.
Ubique el cordón eléctrico de modo que no se apoye el
calefactorniningún otro objeto encima del cordón.No pase el
cordón eléctrico por debajo de alfombras.No cubra el cordón
eléctrico con ninguna alfombrilla, tapete, ni cosa parecida.
Coloqueelcordóneléctricoalejadodelaszonasde movimiento
de la habitación, en donde nadie se tropiece en el mismo.
12. Este calefactor se calienta cuando está en uso. Para evitar las

Control remoto: (Figura 2)
1. Oprima el botón ON-HIGH o el ON-LOW para encender el
calefactor y escoger ya sea calor ALTO o BAJO.
2. Los botones OFF, TIMER y SWING funcionan de la misma
manera explicada en los pasos 5 al 7 de las instrucciones
de uso dadas anteriormente.
3. El control remoto recibe alimentación de las dos baterías
AAA provistas.Hay una cubierta en la parte posterior del
control remoto que puede retirarse para sustituir las
baterías según se requiera.
ALMACENAMIENTO: Guarde el calefactor, junto con estas
instrucciones, en su caja original y en un lugar fresco y seco.

15. No utilice el calefactor a la intemperie.

FUNCIONAMIENTO
Tablero de control: (Figura 1)
1. Al enchufar el calefactor se oye un tono para indicar que la
unidad recibe alimentación eléctrica.
2. Botón ON/FUNCTION. Al oprimirse este botón, la luz
indicadora HIGH se ilumina indicando que el calefactor se
encuentra en el modo de calor alto.(1500 vatios)
3. Si se oprime de nuevo el botón ON/FUNCTION, la luz
indicadora HIGH se apaga y la luz indicadora LOW se
iluminaindicando que el calefactorseencuentra en el modo
de calor bajo.(900 vatios)
4. Si se oprime de nuevo el botón ON/FUNCTION, la luz
indicadora LOW se apaga y la luz indicadora FAN se
ilumina indicando que el calefactor se encuentra en el
modo de ventilador solamente.
5. Botón OFF – Al oprimir este botón el calefactor se apaga.
6. Botón“TIMER”. Oprímalo una vez y se enciende la luz que
indica 1/2 hora de funcionamiento.Oprímalo de nuevo y la
luz indica 1 hora. Oprímalo por tercera vez y se indica 1.5
horas. El tiempo total máximo que puede indicarse es de
7.5horas.Si se sigue oprimiendo elbotónTIMERse avanza
por los ajustes hasta que se apaguen todas las luces del
temporizador.Cuando están apagadas las lucesindicadoras
del temporizador, el calefactor funciona continuamente.
7. Botón“SWING”.Sise oprime este botónlaluzSWINGseilumina
y el calefactor oscila a través de una carrera de 120 grados.
Oprímalo de nuevo para apagar la luz y detener la oscilación.
8. Elcalefactordebe colocarse plano enel piso;de lo contrario
el interruptor protector en caso de vuelco lo apaga
automáticamente.
9. Para desconectar el calefactor, oprima el botón “ON/OFF”y
retire el enchufe del tomacorriente.
CARACTERÍSTICASDESEGURIDAD
1. El calefactor tiene incorporado un interruptor de
protección en caso de vuelco para impedir su
funcionamiento en caso de volcarse.
2. Launidad está provista de unprotector contra sobrecarga
térmica y un fusible térmico para impedir el
sobrecalentamiento.
3. Se ha incorporado un fusible en línea para evitar el
funcionamiento de la unidad en caso de sobrecarga.
MANTENIMIENTO
ADVERTENCIA: SIEMPRE DESENCHUFE EL CORDÓN
ANTES DE MOVER O DAR SERVICIO A LA UNIDAD.
NO SUMERJA EL CALEFACTOR EN AGUA
LIMPIEZA: Limpie la malla filtradora al menos una vez al
mes, o más a menudo si está sucia. Un filtro sucio puede
restringir el flujo de aire y causar el funcionamiento
inadecuado o apagado del calefactor.
No intente retirar la rejilla de entrada del calefactor.
1. Desenchufe el calefactor del tomacorriente.
2. Limpie la zona de la rejilla trasera del calefactor con el
accesorio de cepillo de una aspiradora para quitar la
pelusay tierra del filtrointerno.NO INTENTEDESARMAR
ELCALEFACTOR(Figura 3)Noretire el protector de rejilla
nipermita que el calefactorse use sin el protector de rejilla
en su lugar.
3. Limpie el exterior con un paño suave. (NUNCA USE AL-
COHOL NI SOLVENTES.)

UTILISATION
Panneau de commande: (Figure 1)
1. Lors du branchement de l’appareil de chauffage, un bip
retentit pour indiquer qu’il reçoit l’alimentation électrique.
2. Bouton MARCHE/FONCTION (ON/FUNCTION). Avec une
pressionsur cebouton,le voyantlumineuxHAUT(HIGH)s’allume
et l’appareil est au mode de chauffage haut (1500 watts).
3. Une nouvelle pression sur le bouton MARCHE/
FONCTION (ON/FUNCTION) éteint le voyant lumineux
HAUT (HIGH) et allume le voyant lumineux BAS (LOW);
l’appareil estalors aumode dechauffage bas(900 watts).
4. Unenouvellepressionsurle bouton MARCHE/FONCTION
(ON/FUNCTION) éteint le voyant lumineux BAS (LOW) et
allumele voyantlumineuxVENTILATEUR(FAN);l’appareil
est alors au mode de ventilateur sans chaleur.
5. Bouton ARRÊT (OFF) – Appuyer sur ce bouton pour
arrêter l’appareil de chauffage.
6. Bouton de MINUTERIE (“TIMER”). Appuyer dessus une
fois et le voyant lumineux s’allume, indiquant une durée
d’une demi-heure. Appuyer de nouveau et le voyant
lumineux indique 1 heure. Appuyer dessus une troisième
fois et le voyant indique 1 heure et demie.La durée totale
pouvantêtreprogramméed’une seule fois est de7 heures
et demie. Des pressions successives sur le bouton de
minuterie font avancer le réglage jusqu’à ce que tous les
voyants de minuterie soient éteints.Lorsque les voyants
lumineux de durée sont éteints, l’appareil de chauffage
fonctionne continuellement.
7. Boutond’OSCILLATION (“SWING”).Unepression sur ce
boutonallume le voyantlumineux d’oscillation et l’appareil
de chauffage oscille d’un côté à l’autre, sur 120 degrés.
Une nouvelle pression sur ce bouton éteint le voyant
lumineux et l’oscillation s’arrête.
8. L’appareil de chauffage doit être placé à plat sur le sol,
sinon l’interrupteur de protection contre le basculement
l’arrête automatiquement.
9. Avant de débrancher l’appareil de chauffage, appuyer sur
le bouton MARCHE/ARRÊT (“ON/OFF”) puis retirer la
fiche de la prise de courant.

6. Éviter autant que possible l’utilisation d’un cordon prolongateur qui
risquerait de surchauffer et de provoquer un risque d’incendie.S’il
est absolument nécessaire d’en utiliser un, minimiser le risque de
surchauffe en vérifiant qu’il est homologué CUL/UL, d’un calibre
minimum de 14 AWG, d’une capacité d’au moins 1875 watts et de
la longueur appropriée. Ne jamais se servir d’un seul cordon
prolongateurpourfairefonctionnerplusieursappareils dechauffage.
7. Ne pas utiliser un appareil de chauffage dont le cordon ou la fiche
est endommagé(e), après un dysfonctionnement, après qu’il soit
tombé ou ait été endommagé d’une manière quelle qu’elle soit.
Renvoyer l’appareil à un centre de service autorisé pour son exa-
men, un réglage électrique ou mécanique ou une réparation.
8. Débrancher le cordon électrique avant de faire l’entretien ou
de déplacer l’appareil de chauffage. Toujours débrancher
l’appareil de chauffage lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé.

9. Nepasmettreles doigts nidesobjetsétrangersdanslesouvertures
de ventilation et de sortie d’air sous risque de s’exposer à des
secoussesélectriques,deprovoquerunincendieet d’endommager
l’appareil. Pendant son fonctionnement, ne bloquer d’aucune
manière les ouvertures d’entrée et de sortie d’air et ne pas modi-
fier l’appareil de chauffage.
10. Pour éviter le risque d’incendie, ne bloquer d’aucune manière
les ouvertures d’entrée et de sortie d’air. Ne pas poser
l’appareil sur des surfaces molles, comme sur un lit, où les
ouvertures risquent de se boucher.
11. Pour éviter qu’il ne bascule, toujours placer l’appareil de
chauffage sur une surface stable, plate et horizontale durant
son utilisation. Disposer le cordon électrique de façon qu’il ne
soit pas sous l’appareil ni sous d’autres objets. Ne pas faire
passer le cordon sous une moquette. Ne pas recouvrir le cor-
don de carpettes, tapis et objets similaires. Disposer le cor-
donhors du passage et làoù il ne risque pas de fairetrébucher.
12. Cet appareil de chauffage est brûlant pendant son utilisation.
Pouréviterles brûlures, ne pas toucherles surfaces brûlantes.
Toujours saisir l’appareil par sa poignée pour le déplacer.
Maintenir les matériaux combustibles tels que meubles,
oreillers, literie, papiers, vêtements et rideaux à au moins 0.9
m (3 pi) de la face avant de l’appareil de chauffage et à au
moins 0.3 m (1 pi) des côtés et de la face arrière.

DISPOSITIFS DE SÉCURITÉ
1. Un interrupteur de protection contre le basculement est
intégré à l’appareil de chauffage pour empêcher le
fonctionnement s’il bascule.
2. Un dispositif et un fusible de protection thermique

3. Un fusible en ligne est intégré à l’appareil pour empêcher
le fonctionnement en cas de surcharge.

NETTOYAGE : Nettoyer le maillage du filtre au moins une fois
par mois, plus souvent s’il est sale. Un filtre sale réduirait la
circulation de l’air, provoquerait un fonctionnement incorrect ou
l’arrêt de l’appareil.
Ne pas essayer de retirer la grille d’entrée d’air de
l’appareil de chauffage.
1. Débrancher l’appareil de l’alimentation électrique.
2. Utiliser l’accessoire brosse d’un aspirateur sur la grille
arrière de l’appareil pour enlever les peluches et la saleté
du filtre intérieur. NE PAS ESSAYER DE DÉMONTER
L’APPAREIL DE CHAUFFAGE. (Figure 3) Ne pas retirer
la protection grillagée et ne pas faire fonctionner l’appareil
sans cette protection.
3. Nettoyer le corps avec un chiffon doux. (NE JAMAIS
UTILISER D’ALCOOL NI DE SOLVANTS).
ENTREPOSAGE : Ranger l’appareil de chauffage avec ces in-
structions dans son cartond’origine, dans un endroit fraisetsec.
