Important safety instructions – read carefully before use.
It is important that this instruction manual should be retained with the appliance for
future reference. These warnings have been provided in the interest of safety. You
MUST read them carefully before installation or use.

• Please ensure that the appliance
is used on a stable, level, and heat
resistant surface.
• Do not immerse cords, plugs or
any part of the appliance in water
or any other liquid.
• Do not leave the appliance
unattended while it is operating.
• Close supervision is necessary
when any appliance is used by or
near children or pets.
• This appliance can be used by
children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved.
• Switch off at the wall socket
then remove the plug from the
socket when not in use or before
cleaning.
• Children shall not play with the
appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children
without supervision.
• If the appliance or power cord is
damaged, stop using the appliance

the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualified

• Do not let the headphones or
power cord hang over the edge of
a table or counter or let it come

• The use of accessory attachments,
except headphones, is not
recommended by the appliance
manufacturer, apart from those
supplied with this product.
• Do not pull the plug out by the
cord as this may damage the plug
and/or the cable.
• Do not use this product for
anything other than its intended
use.
• This appliance is for household
use only.
• Do not carry the appliance by the
headphones or power cord.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Do not block any ventilation
openings.
• Install in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions.

• Do not install near any heat
sources such as radiators,
heat registers, stoves, or other
apparatus (including amplifiers)
that produce heat.
• Battery usage CAUTION. To prevent
battery leakage which may result
in bodily injury or damage to the
unit:
Install all batteries correctly, + and
- as marked on the unit.
Do not mix batteries (old and new
or carbon and alkaline, etc.)
Remove batteries when the unit is
not used for a long time.
• If the appliance is not going to be
used for a period of time please
ensure that the batteries have been
removed.
• CAUTION! To reduce the risk of
electric shock, DO NOT remove
the cover or back, except the
battery compartment to replace
the batteries. There are no user
serviceable parts inside. Refer
servicing to the manufacturer or
qualified service personnel.
• Beware of small pieces and
batteries.DO NOT swallow them
as they may be hazardous to your
health and may lead to suffocation.
Please make sure to keep small
devices and batteries out of reach
of children.
• CAUTION! Make sure that children
do not swallow any pieces of the
batteries that belong to device to
avoid injury.
• CAUTION! Use caution when using
this device. Avoid high volumes.
Children should be supervised
while using headphones; make
sure the appliance is not set to a
high volume.
• CAUTION! High volumes may cause
irreparable damage to children’s
ears and hearing.
• DO NOT let anyone, especially
children put objects inside the
device’s holes, slots or openings.
The device must only be opened
by the manufacturer or qualified
personnel.
• Keep the device away anything
that would obstruct its ventilation;
curtains, newspaper, furniture, etc.
Its ventilation system must be clear
of objects at all times or the device
may overheat.
• DO NOT expose the device to direct
sunlight. Make sure the appliance
is not subject to direct heat
sources.
• Keep the device away from water
or any other liquids. It is NOT
waterproof. Do not use cleaning
agents that contain alcohol,
ammoniac, benzene or abrasives
as they may cause damage to
the device. For cleaning, use a
softened, moistened cloth.
• WARNING: TRAFFIC SAFETY: NEVER
listen to music when you cross a
road or drive a car.

Battery installation
• Condensation may occur when
moving the device from a cold
to warm climate. If there is any
moisture inside the player it may
not operate properly. Do not turn on
the device and wait about one hour
for the moisture to evaporate.
• Open the Battery cover on the
underside of the unit.
• Insert 2 x AA batteries (not
included) following the polarity
as indicated in the battery
compartment. Note: Alkaline
batteries are recommended for a
long usage time.
• Press the battery cover back to
close until it is secure.
• In the unlikely event the appliance
develops a fault, stop using
it immediately and seek advice
from the service department:

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Remove the product from the box.
2. Remove any packaging from the
product.
3. Please retain all packaging until you
have checked and counted all the parts
and the contents against the parts list.
4. Your appliance is now ready for normal
use.
POWER OPTIONS
Batteries: Remove the battery cover (on
the back of the device), and insert 2 x AA
batteries (not included) into the battery
compartment.
• Make sure to observe the correct
polarities when placing the batteries
into the compartment.
• Close the battery cover by pushing
in the two tabs of the lid into the
corresponding recessed ap towards
the device, until the cover snaps in.
Battery Safety:
• Please remove the batteries from the
device if it will not be used for a long
period of time. This will avoid any
damaged caused by leaking batteries.
• Replace the batteries if the volume
becomes lower or the sound becomes
distorted.
• Do not mix battery types (e.g. alkaline,
zinc/carbon, rechargeable batteries) or
exhausted & new batteries together.
• Keep batteries away from children and
pets.
• We recommend the use of alkaline
batteries for a longer battery lifespan.
Adaptor: Plug the adaptor into the AC Power
Jack (DC 4.5V, 600mA) on the left side of the
CD player, and then plug in at the mains and
switch on. Note: The power adaptor is not
supplied.
• Disconnect the power cord when the
device is not in use.
• Do not connect the device to any other
power supply to avoid damage.
• This unit does not have a charging
function.
USING THE CD PLAYER
1. Press the Open-CD Door button to open
the CD door.
2. Insert the CD on the tray with the label
side up and close the CD door.
3. Connect the headphones to the
Headphone jack and put the ear buds
on.
4. Press the Play/Pause button to play
the CD.
5. Use the Rewind and Fast Forward
buttons to control playback.
6. Press the Volume buttons to control the
volume level.
7. Press the Stop button to stop playback.
8. Press the Open-CD Door button to
remove the CD.
Note: Please do not place anything other
than a cd in the cd tray as this may cause
damage to the cd tray.

• If the disc is dirty or scratched it may
not play correctly.
• Never force the CD tray as this may
damage the product.
• Never insert more than one CD at a
time.
CD CONTROLS
Play/Pause: Press to turn the CD player
and to play the CD.
Stop: Press to end CD playback.
OFF: Press and hold the Stop
button for 3 seconds until the
player turns o.
Mode: Press to repeat a track, an
entire CD, to play tracks in
random order or play the CD
in intro mode.
• Press the mode button once to repeat
the current track:
• During playback, press Fast Forward
or Rewind to select the track you wish
to repeat.
• Press the Mode button for the rst time
and the CD player will play the selected
track repeatedly.
• To repeat all tracks, press the Mode
button again.
Program: Press to program the device
to play a CD track in a specic
order.
• Load the CD and begin playback.
• Press Stop to stop the CD during play.
• Press the Program button and “01”
will appear on the display and begin
blinking.
• Use the Rewind and Fast Forward
buttons to select the track you’d like to
program.
• Press Program to save the selected
track. Repeat steps 4 & 5 to program up
to 20 tracks.
• Press Play/Pause to begin playing your
programmed tracks.
Rewind: Press to skip backwards or to
select a previous track.
Fast Forward: Press to skip to the next
track.
Volume: Press the + or – buttons to
control the volume level.
HEADPHONE JACK/LINE OUT
• Connect one end of your headphones to
the Headphone jack on the side of the
CD player. Place the ear buds in your
ears.
• Turn on the CD player and begin
listening to your CD.
• Adjust the volume controls and control
playback with the CD control buttons.

PROBLEM CAUSE SOLOUTION
No sound. • The volume is too low
• The headphones are
not securely inserted
into the headphone
jack.
• The CD has paused or
stopped playback.
• Increase the volume using the volume
control.
• Ensure the headphones are securely
inserted
• Press the Play/Pause button to resume
CD playback.
Not operating
properly.
• The battery power is
too low.
• The batteries are
incorrectly installed
in the battery
compartment.
• Condensation has
formed on the internal
parts of the laser
pickup, which may
occur when moved
to a location with a
dierent temperature
of humidity level.
• Replace the batteries as instructed in the
Power Options section.
• Make sure the battery correctly inserted
to the corresponding polarities in the
battery compartment.
• Wait 2 hours before operating the device.
This allows the internal parts to adjust to
the surrounding temperature.
Distorted
sound.
• The volume level is
too high.
• The CD is distorted.
• There is dust or dirt
on the lens or CD.
• Decrease the volume using the volume
controls.
• Skip to another track or replace the CD.
• Clean the lens per the Cleaning &
Maintenance instructions.

CLEANING AND CARE
IMPORTANT:
• Before cleaning, always disconnect the
power cord (if being used).
• Clean the device with a soft, moist cloth
and a mild detergent.
• Never use abrasive detergents or
sharp utensils.
Cleaning the Disc Lens
After prolonged use, dirt or dust may
accumulate at the disc lens. To ensure good
play quality, clean the disc lens with camera
lens brush or any appropriate commercially
available cleaners. Follow the instructions
supplied with cleaner.
Cleaning Discs
When a disc becomes dirty, clean it with
a cleaning cloth. Wipe the disc from the
centre out. Do not use solvents such as
benzene, thinner, commercially available
cleaners, or antistatic spray intended for
analogue records.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the
mains lead of this
appliance may not
correspond with the
coloured markings
identifying the terminals
in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains
lead are coloured in accordance with the
following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and
must be connected to the terminal marked
[N] or coloured black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire
and must be connected to the terminal
marked [L] or coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or
the blue wire be connected to the [EARTH]
terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the
same rating already tted and conforming
to BS 1362 and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician
who will be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug tted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must
use an ASTA approved one (conforming to
BS 1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician
who will be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug - disconnect
it from the mains - and then cut it o the
mains lead and immediately dispose of its
safely. Never attempt to reuse the plug or
insert it into a socket outlet as there is a
danger of an electric shock.
WARNING:
This appliance is double insulated.
Do not connect any wire to the earth terminal.
