1. DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
1.1. Introduction
Prior to erection and use, all usersmustreadthismanual.Athorough reading is
recommendedforfullcompliancewithsafetyregulations.
Thismanualisdeliveredwiththetransportplatformanditspurposeistogiveinstructionsfor
proper handling during transportation, erection and maintenance, in compliance with the
provisionsofEUDirective2006/42/EConsafemachinery.Thisinstructionsmanualdealswith
properuseofthemachineaswellaspropererectionandmaintenance.
The manufacturer reserves the right to modify the machine for improvements, so that
differences may be found in some manual details. In any case, ALBA‐MACRELGROUP,S.L.
commitstoimmediatelyadaptthemanualtotheimprovements.

Inanycase,themanualisaimedatknowledgestrengtheningand as a reminder for the
personnel,whomustpreviouslybewelltrainedbyengineersorsupervisors,whoatthesame
timemustbeveryexperiencedinthismachineoperation.
1.2. General information
Therackandpinionhoistisbasedontheprincipleofgearedmotortransmissiontoarackand
pinionmechanism.Componentsaremodularandeasytoinstall.Itissimpletouseandsafe
forfacadeworkorrehabilitation,significantlyreducingtheerectiontimeandman‐hours.
Thismachinehasbeendesignedfortemporaryinstallationonsite, and must be used by
skilled authorised personnel. Its main advantage is the ability to connect different building

floorsforliftingorloweringmaterialsandpersonsinafastandsafeway.Below,pleasefind
themainpointstobearinmindpriortoerectionanduseofthemachine.
The hoist is designed for transsporting only loads.Itcanbeusedfortransporting
materials during building construction, and also for hoisting scaffolding components
forassemblingscaffoldstructures.
Themachinerunsvertically,gearedtothemastrackandguidedwithsupportrollers.
Loadingandunloadingoperationsmustbecarriedoutbytrainedpersonnel.
Machine operation must be carried out by appointed personnel trained in hoist
operation.
Themachineis designedto befixed atsuitableintervalstoaload‐bearingstructure,
mainlyascaffoldingstructure,oralsothefloorslabsofaconstructionsite,ametal
structure,orsimilar.ALBA‐MACRELGROUP,S.L.includesinthemachinemanualallthe
informationrelated tothe loadstransmitted to thevertical support structureand to
theground.Itistheresponsibilityofthetechniciansattheinstallationsitetoensure
that both the support structure and the ground support the loads indicated by the
manufacture.

2. ASSEMBLY OF THE MACHINE
2.1. Introduction
Thefollowingsectionisdedicatedtothesafelyassemblyofthemachine.Theinstallationofthe
hoistcanonlybeperformedbyqualifiedandauthorizedpersonnel.
It is important to follow the instructions in detail, to avoid risks in the assembly and disassembly
process.Theuserisobligedtoobserve,byhimself,andforthoseworkinginthevicinity,allsourcesof
additionalrisk,andtocomplywithallapplicablesafetystandardsforthetypeofequipmentused
.
2.2. Transport of the hoist
Thetransportofcomponentsofthehoistmustbeperformedbycompetent persons. See

2.5.2 Adjustingthespindleandfixingthebasetotheground
The MC250 has two regulation spindles at the base to ensure that the mast is vertical and
paralleltothescaffoldtubes.
Oncetheheightisadjusted,wewillfixthebasetothegroundbymeansoftwoanchoringspits
thatwewillinsertintotheholesofthespindlebase:

Fixthebasetothegroundtopreventtheliftfromslipping.Iftheanchoringit´snot
possible,firstanchoragetostructureshallbeat1m(3ft3.37in)aprox.

2.5.3 Fixingthehoisttothestructure
BeforeanchoringtheMC250tothescaffoldcheckthatthelowerendtrackcamispositionedon
thechassis.Thecamsliderisweldedtothefirstmast,wemustcheckthatthecamisscrewed
totheslider.
WARNING:
Oncethehoistisfastenedtothegroundandperfectlyvertical,itshallbeanchored
tosupportingstructure.

2.5.4 Mastcolumnerection
ThemastsarejoinedthroughtwoTshapedscrews.Thenutsofthesescrewshaveanotchthat
prevents them from loosing. Due to this the screw cannot be separated from the mast. The
screwsaretightenedwiththescaffoldingassemblyratchetwrench:

Whenjoiningeachpairofmasts,checkthatthenutsaretightandthattheassembly
