STEP 1.
Ensure you have waited 20 minutes since your last alcoholic drink.
STEP 2.
Open the BACtrack app and press the “Pair your BACtrack” button.
STEP 3.
Press the ‘Take a Reading’ button.
A clock timer will appear while the sensor in the
breathalyser is warming up.
STEP 4.
When the screen on your mobile device reads, “Blow
now,” take a deep breath, and blow into your BAC-
track Mobile Breathalyser continuously until all the
bars are illuminated. It will take about five seconds.
You should hear the fuel sensor pump click towards
the end indicating it has received enough air-ow.
STEP 5.
Once your BACtrack Mobile Breathalyser has
analysed the sample, it will send the reading to your
mobile device and your %BAC reading will appear
on the display.

Possible Physical Eects
0.000-0.019 Feeling of relaxation. Impairment possible in some
individuals.
0.020-0.039% Slight euphoria. Loss of shyness. Depressant eects are not
apparent. Impairment possible in some individuals.
0.040-0.069% Feeling of well-being, relaxation, lower inhibitions and
sensation of warmth. Euphoria. Some minor impairment of
reasoning and memory. Lowering of caution. Driving skills
may be impaired at this level of intoxication and higher.
0.070-0.099% Euphoria. Slight impairment of balance, speech, vision,
reaction time, and hearing. Judgment and self-control are
reduced. Caution, reason and memory are impaired. Driving
skills are always impaired at this level of intoxication and
higher.
0.100-0.129% Heightened euphoria. Significant impairment of motor
coordination and loss of good judgment. Speech may be
slurred. Balance, vision, reaction time and hearing will be
impaired.
0.130-0.159% Gross motor impairment and lack of physical control.
Blurred vision and major loss of balance. Euphoria is
reduced and dysphoria (anxiety, restlessness) begins to
appear.
0.160-0.209% Dysphoria predominates. Nausea may appear.
0.210-0.249% Need for assistance in walking. Total mental confusion.
Dysphoria with nausea and some vomiting.
0.250-0.399% Loss of consciousness.
0.400 + % Onset of coma. Possible death due to respiratory arrest.

STEP 6.
After taking a reading you have the option to save and share your results via Facebook, Twitter
and Worldview. To do so press‘OK’.
STEP 7.
Your result will appear with a guestimate of
how long it will take for you to become sober.
You can ‘Tag’ a drink, ‘Add a photo’, ‘Notes’ or
‘Share’ your results.
Press the respective buttons to add the info
you would like.
Press ‘Save & Close’
If you do not wish to add any information just
press‘Save & Close’ to exit.
STEP 8.
For further information on the software func-
tions please press the‘i’ symbol at the bottom
of the initial screen.
STEP 9.
Select ‘How It Works’ and follow the instruc-
tions provided.

STEP 10.
Once you have finished testing, turn o the breathalyser by holding down the
ON/OFF button for 2 seconds until the blue indicator light is no longer
illuminated.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Problem Solution
My BACtrack breathalyser won’t connect
with my mobile device
The BACtrack mobile breathalyser requires the
following specifications to connect and operate
correctly:
- Bluetooth 4.0 (for connectivity)
Plus one of the following:
- Android 4.3
- iPhone 4S and 5
- iPod Touch 5
- iPad 3
- iPad Mini
Check these specifications are available on your de-
vice.
Ensure Bluetooth is turned on in the device settings.
If so, then restart both the device and the BACtrack
mobile breathalyser and try to reconnect.
I take a reading, the result appears, I
press OK and the ZeroLine results page
appears but then when I press‘Done’
nothing happens.
This can occur when your mobile device has WiFi
turned on but the internet is not connected. The
device is trying to store your results on our server but
hangs because it cannot obtain a connection. To over-
come this you will need to turn Data Storage o.
Select the settings symbol on the initial screen
then select Options > Data Storage > Turn o ‘Store
My Data’
