Mounting th fixtur
For floor mounting, the fixture includes a low profile integral floor trunnion at each end that allows for 180°
fixture swivel in either direction. The trunnions are designed in such a way to allow for multiple fixtures to be
placed as close together as possible for seamless use.
For pipe hanging, install a theatrical pipe clamp at each end. The pipe clamps mount directly in the center hole
of the foot of each integral floor trunnion. Use the two safety cables provided with the Spectra Strip when using
pipe clamps.
Conn cting pow r to th fixtur
Attach the blue PowerC N™ plug (included) into the fixture power input (blue). Plug the male Edison plug
into a properly grounded receptacle (100-240 VAC) connected to a circuit breaker. Feed thru PowerC N™
receptacles (gray) are provided at the opposite end of each Spectra Strip for powering neighboring Spectra
Strips. Up to 3 600W Spectra-strips maximum should daisy chain power in this fashion. All feed thru wiring
components are rated at 20 Amps.
Additional power thru cable assemblies are available from Altman lighting.

Focusing th fixtur
With the fixture energized, point the unit in the direction of the object to be illuminated. There is an adjustable
handle at each end of the Spectra Strip to lock the fixture into position. The handles used are adjustable and
allow for positioning the handles out of the way. Lift the handle to disengage and set the lever to an optimal
position.
Cl aning th fixtur
Routine cleaning of the Spectra Strip lighting fixture will provide years of prolonged use. Use compressed air to
blow off any dust and dirt from the lens, electronics and heat sink. For the lens, use a soft lint-free cloth
dampened with water to clean the lens of dust and dirt. Dry off completely with compressed air or a dry lint-
free cloth.
ETL FILE LISTING
The Spectra Strip lighting fixture is ETL and C-ETL listed under Altman File 9700680 for Portable Electric
Luminaires.

MASTER and SLAVE modes refer to the origin of the control signal the fixture is listening to:
SLAVE
•Putting the switch in the “Slav ” position means the fixture is listening to the incoming DMX
signal.
•Also considered “Normal” operation.
MASTER
•Putting the switch in the “Mast r” position means the fixture is N L NGER listening to
the incoming DMX signal and has now become the source of DMX control information for all
fixtures coming after it. The “Mast r” fixture will broadcast the pre-built show included in the
fixture’s software that has been selected by the user. All fixtures coming after the “Mast r”
fixture should be set to “Slav ” to receive the DMX signal originated from the “Mast r” fixture.
This feature allows for rudimentary color changing capability without the need of an outside
DMX control device.
•Also considered “Stand Alon ” operation.
