Overview
This document is the user manual for the Urovo terminal and the CenApp software application. The
document gives procedures on how to setup and configure the terminal, set up the manager functions,
bank maintenance and process transactions.

2.1 Operating system (OS) and load bank keys
The OS and keys are loaded at Altech Card Solution’s Trusted Centre.
2.2 How to insert the paper roll
•Lift the cover
•Load the paper roll
•Pull the paper roll out of printer
•Close the cover
2.3 Updating software manually from CMS server
•Go to the application manager,
•Selec t “Mainte nance” , press [ E NTER] ,
•Enter the maintenance password,
•Selec t “softwar e upda te”.
•Term inal pro mpts “ch eck for s oftwar e upda te “
•Then s e lect y es to “ up date th e softwar e”
•Alternatively, the terminal will update the software automatically during
scheduled time
2.4 Checking software version
•Go to the application manager
•Selec t “Syste m Info”, press [ E NTER] ,
•Selec t “Applic ation L ist”. pr ess [EN T ER],
•Then the application list will print out ,
•Under “ Libs” look for CenApp ,
•The CenApp version will appear on the right side of the slip.
2.5 SIM Setup
•Select Settings.
•Select Network & Internet.
•Select Mobile network.
•Select Advanced.

•Select Access Point Names.
•Press + icon to add new ANP.
•Enter Name e.g. HugeConnect
•Enter APN e.g. cnbbw.co.za
•Save the new APN settings.
•After saving, select new APN for terminal to use it.
2.6 Initializing CenDroid
•Click “Ce nDroid” appli c ation Ic o n.
2.7 Terminal Setup
•Press “ ENTER” ,
•Selec t “Applic ations”, press [ ENTER] ,
•Go t o t he “m a intena nce men u”,
•Selec t “Term i nal Setu p”, press [ENTER ],
•Selec t “ID par ameters ” , [ENT ER],
•Enter the “Dev ice ID” ,
•Enter the “Merc hant n umber” ,
•Selec t” Sett le centre ” , [ENT ER],
•Selec t “IP”,
•Enter “ IP addr ess”,
•Enter “ port n u mber”,
•At “Co mpressi on” se le ct “Non e ” and [ E NTER],
•At “T L S certif icate, s e lect pr e ferred c ertifica te
•At “Pr otocol” , s elect t he pr eferred protoco l
•Selec t “Downl o ad Par am e ters”.
Note: The manager must be setup under the terminal options menu.
2.8 How to close CenDroid application
•Press “ ENTER” butto n .
•Selec t “EXIT” and pre ss ENTE R .
•Selec t “YES” t o exit t he AM.
•Selec t “EXIT” and pre ss ENTE R .
•Selec t “Shut d own” a n d press ENTER
•Selec t “YES” t o shut d own the termin a l.
2.9 How to reboot/ shut down the terminal
•Press and hold the power button.
•Selec t “power off” / S elect “res tart” .

3. Maintenance Functions
To access the Maintenance Menu:
•Swipe Manager card, Enter Pin, press [ENTER]
•Select Terminal Setup, press [ENTER].
If no manager card is allowed:
•Press ENTER a nd sel e c t “App lications” ,
•Selec t “Mainte nance Menu”, enter PI N.
Alternatively, the Manager Menu may be accessed as follows if the Manager is setup as a pin
only:
•Press [ENTER] key,
•Select [Application],
•Scroll down to the Manager Menu.
Enter Manager PIN. The Manager Menu has limited functions compared to Maintenance Menu.
4. Application Manager Menu
To access the Application Manager Menu:
•Press [ENTER] key, and below menu appears.
5. Terminal setup
This menu allows you to change the screen saver of the terminal.

6. System info
This menu contains Application List and Alarm List.
Application list give you the terminal details: it prints out the terminal type, customers name,
version number and all the applications installed on the terminal.
Alarm list contains all the download scheduled items, download date and time is also shown on
the receipt.
7. Exit
The exit menu directs you to the System Manager Menu.
8. Operator Menu
To access the Operator Menu:
•Press [ENTER] key,
•Select [Application], press [ENTER]
9. Manager functions
To access the Manager Menu:

•Select Terminal Setup, press [ENTER].
Alternatively, the Manager Menu may be accessed as follows if the Manager is setup as a pin
only:
•Press [ENTER] key
•Select [Application]
•Scroll down to Manager Menu
•Enter Manager Pin
9.1 Terminal setup
This menu allows the manager to:
•Configure modem setup.
•Initiate a transaction upload to the settle centre.
•Print the terminal setup slip.

9.2 Modem Configuration
This menu allows the manager to:
Modify the AM modem configurations, configure communications parameters.
9.3 Settle Centre
This option allows the manager to change the route to the settle centre.
•Go to the manager menu

9.4 Print Setup
When the print setup option is selected from the terminal setup menu, the terminal displays
printing while the current terminal configuration is printed on the printer and returns to the
terminal setup menu.

•Selec t “Print Setup”, press [ ENTER],
•The terminal setup slip will print.
9.5 Terminal Options
This menu allows the manager to:
•Add/delete Supervisors
•Add/delete cashiers
•Setup Tips
•Add/change forecourt prices
•Go to the manager menu
•Selec t “Term i nal Opt ions”, pres s [ENT ER],
9.6 Supervisor Menu
Managers may add and delete supervisors if the manager mode is configured to "card and
pin", card only" configuration only allows one manager pin to be entered and used.
Supervisors are not linked to any manager and are contained within the general supervisor
pool. Therefore, when a manager is deleted, the supervisors defined by this manager card
will not be deleted. Other manager cards should then be used to delete supervisors as
required.

Note: Not all the items in the menu shown below will always be available. For example, the
item “Delete Supervisor” will not be visible in the menu if there are no supervisors to delete.
Admin
The Admin option allows the user to set up the supervisor options.
•Go to the manager menu
•Selec t “Term i nal O ptions”, press [ ENTER],
•Selec t “Superv isor”, press [ ENTER],
•Selec t “Admin” , Press [ENTER] ,
•Selec t “Promp t Mode” ,
Prompt
The prompt option allows the user to enable/disable pin, card, biometric options.
Select Prompt mode, Press [ENTER]
The user has an option to:
•Disable Supervisor
•Enable Pin only
•Enable number only
•Enable number and pin
•Card only
•Card and Pin

Add
The add option allows the user to add a supervisor (if Supervisor is not added this menu will
appear).
Under “Prompt Mode” select any preferred option.
•E.g.
•Selec t “Pin o nly”,
•Selec t “Add”,
•Enter “ Pin”
•Enter “ Superv is or na me”.
If the user has selected the “card only” and the “card and pin” option under the supervisor
prompt, the add option will be displayed.
When Supervisor is added, the menu under supervisor will populate more options.

Delete Supervisors
The “delete” options the user to delete the supervisors. This menu only appears if there are
supervisors installed.
•Go to the manager menu
•Selec t “Term i nal Opt ions”, pres s [ENT ER],
•Selec t “Superv isor”, press [ ENTER],
•Selec t “Admin” , press [ENTER] ,
•Selec t “Delet e” ,
•Selec t “Superv isor” t hat you want t o delete .
•Supervisor is removed.
Change Pin
This menu only appears if there are managers installed.
•Go to the manager menu
•Selec t “Term i nal Opt ions”, pres s [ENT ER],
•Selec t “Superv isor”, press [ ENTER],
•Selec t “Admin” , press [ENTER] ,
•Selec t “Chang e Pin”
