Step 1:
MARK DOOR

Fold the template at the dotted line and tape the template
onto the interior side of the door.
Mark hole for the location for the dead bolt and latch.
It is recommended that you be at least 38" from
the floor.
Step 2:
DRILL HOLES
Drill a 2-1/18" (54 mm) holes through door face as marked
for the dead bolt.
Drill a 1" (25 mm) hole as marked for the latch.
NOTICE
DRILL THE 2-1/8” (54mm) HOLE FROM BOTH
SIDES TO AVOID SPLITTING WOOD.

Step 3:
INSTALL LATCH
Insert latch in hole keeping it parallel to face of door.
Outline face plate with pencil and remove latch.
Chisel 1/8" (3 mm) deep or until latch face is flush with door
edge.

Insert latch and tighten screws.
Make sure the latch is inserted with the word "TOP"
facing upward.

Step 4:
INSTALL STRIKER PLATE
•
•B. Measure one half of door thickness from door stop to mark
vertical center line of strike. Drill 1”(25.4mm) hole,
1/2" (12.7mm) deep at intersection of horizontal and vertical
center lines.
A. Close door to mark horizontal center line of strike.
•C. Chisel out door jamb 3/32" (2.4mm) deep or until strike plate
sits flush with door jamb.
•Tighten screws securely.

Step 5:
REMOVING INSIDE TRIM
•Insert tip of the knob removing tool into the hole on the bottom
of knob.
Remove knob and face plate
Pushing down on the locking pin, pull back on the knob,
remove the tool from hole and finish removing the knob.

Step 6:
ADJUSTMENT
•Adjust the lock assembly so the latch hole is in the center of
the hole in the edge of the door by turning the face plate
clockwise or counter-clockwise.
•Remove the lock assembly from the door.

Step 7:
INSTALLING DOOR KNOB ASSEMBLY AND LATCH
•Insert latch into hole on edge of door.
•Push on the latch bolt so the bar prongs extend.
•Slide the lock assembly into the door hole and slide the latch
prongs into the lock body assembly.
Latch prongs must be installed correct for the
latch to work correctly.

INSTALLING INSIDE FACE PLATE
•Lift up on the spring clip and remove the inner plate from
the inside face plate.
•Slide the inner plate back onto the knob assembly.
•Replace the round face plate.
•Screw the inner plate to the knob assembly using the two
machine screws supplied.
•Align lug on knob with narrow slot spindle and push knob
until retainer "clicks" into slot in knob.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning
• To clean, wipe with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
• Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive
scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
Maintenance
• Check the components regularly to make sure all screws
and bolts are tightened.
• Store in a cool and dry place away from children and pets,
ideally in original packaging.
• Avoid any vibrations and shocks.
Step 10:
CHANGING LOCK HAND
•The lock is set for right-handed doors. To change to lock to
left handed doors.
(a) Turn outside knob approximately 60 degree counter
clockwise. To locate spring piece, insert spring tool in
hole and depress spring piece, and slide knob off.
(b) Turn knob 180 degree and replace.

Privacy Knob Safety Key
• The knob removing tool is used when removing
the knob(s) from the knob assembly.
• Included in this kit is an emergency safety key that can be used
to unlock the door knob in the event it becomes locked from
the inside.
• Insert the safety key into the slot and turn the key counter-
clockwise to inlock the door knob.

Paso 3:
INSTALACIÓN DEL SEGURO

•Inserte el seguro en el orificio manteniéndolo paralelo a la
cara de la puerta.
•Marque la placa frontal usando un lápiz y saque el seguro.
•Cincele 1/8 pulgadas (3 mm) de profundidad o hasta que la
cara del seguro quede al ras con el borde de la puerta.
•Inserte el seguro y apriete los tornillos.
Asegúrese de que el seguro quede insertado con la
palabra “TOP” hacia arriba.

INSTALACIÓN DE LA PLACA DE IMPACTO
•A. Cierre la puerta para marcar la línea central de impacto
horizontal.
•B. Mida la mitad del grosor de la puerta desde el tope de la
puerta para marcar la línea central de impacto. Perfore 1
orificio de 1 pulgada (25,4 mm), 1/2 pulgadas (12,7 mm)
de profundidad en la intersección de la línea central
vertical y horizontal.
•C. Cincele 3/32 pulgadas (2,4 mm) de profundidad en el
soporte vertical del marco de la puerta o hasta que la
placa de impacto quede pareja con el marco de la puerta.
•Apriete los tornillos firmemente.

Paso 5:
EXTRACCIÓN DEL BORDE INTERIOR
•Inserte la punta de la herramienta para sacar la perilla en el
orificio de la parte inferior de la perilla.
Saque la perilla y placa frontal
Presionando el pasador de bloqueo, tire de la perilla hacia
atrás, saque la herramienta del orificio y termina de extraer la
perilla.
•
Paso 6:
AJUSTE
•Ajuste el sistema de bloqueo de manera tal que el orificio
del seguro quede al centro del orificio del borde de la puerta,
girando la placa frontal hacia la derecha o hacia la izquierda.
•Saque el sistema de bloqueo de la puerta.

Paso 7:
INSTALACIÓN DE LA PERILLA DE LA PUERTA Y
DEL SEGURO
•Inserte el seguro hacia el orificio del borde de la puerta.
•Presione el perno del seguro de manera tal que las patas
de la barra se extiendan.
•Deslice el cuerpo de la cerradura hacia el orificio de la
puerta y deslice las patas del seguro hacia el cuerpo de la
cerradura.
Para que el seguro funcione como se debe, las
patas del seguro deben instalarse correctamente.

REINSTALACIÓN DE LA PERILLA
Paso 9:
Paso 8:
INSTALACIÓN DE LA PLACA FRONTAL INTERNA
•Levante el pasador de resorte y saque la placa interior
desde la placa frontal interior.
•Deslice la placa interior de vuelta hacia la perilla.
•Atornille la placa interior hacia la perilla, usando los dos
tornillos para maquinaria incluidos.
•Reemplace la placa frontal redondeada.
•Alinee la agarradera de la perilla con el eje de ranura
angosta y presione la perilla hasta que el retén haga “clic”
en la ranura de la perilla.
