TWO-WAY RADIO BUZZER KIT FOR R400 SERIES CONTROL UNITS INSTALLER'S
MANUAL
COMPLIANT
CEI EN 50131-4:2010-08
SRL400 is a radio-controlled buzzer for outdoor use with a 220Vac power unit. It comprises 2 elements, the buzzer shell, which
features all the devices installed in the buzzers, (loudspeaker, buffer battery, etc.) and a transmitter that can be used with R400
series control units. SR400 can, besides the alarm status, signal the system enabled/disabled status, the alarm log, and any
faiulres in the power supply and buffer battery.
All the buzzer functions are managed by a micro-controller, which makes their programming easy and intuitive. All the functions
are selectable via DIP-SWITCHES.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ELECTRONIC BOARD OF THE BUZZER
The buzzer shell features a group of dip-switches with which the operator can select the following signals:
dip-switch funcions
programming key blinker
power supply
battery connector
antenna bush
anti-opening tamper
red LED
green LED
Can be enabled INDIVIDUALLY by BRINING the corresponding Dip-switch TO ON:
- Sound alarm log (DIP 1 ON);
emits a melody when the system is deacrivated following an alarm
- Visual alarm log (DIP 2 ON);
fast steady flashes after an alarm with the system enabled (goes off when the system is disabled)
- System ENABLED/DISABLED status sound signal (DIP 3 ON);
emits 3 BEEPS when the system is enabled and 1 prolonged beep when the system is disabled
- System ENABLED/DISABLED status visual signal (DIP 4 ON);
emits 3 brief flashes when the system is enabled and 1 prolonged flash when the system is disabled
- steady system ENABLED signal (DIP 5 ON);
when the system is enabled, a double flash is emitted
- Buzzer OK "stand-by" signal (DIP 6 ON):
emits a brief flash every 10 seconds, when the buzzer is working properly

The buzzer board features 2 signaling LED, a battery connector and 2 power supply terminals:
RED LED (POWER SUPPLY CHECK)
- Off: the buzzer is not powered
- Brief flash every 4 seconds: in standby operating mode
- Steady on: the battery is recharging
- Fast flash: the battery is not connected, is faulty or is dead
- Slow flash: recharging voltage missing
GREEN LED (RADIO PART SYSTEM AND CHECK):
- Steady on: no linked transmitter (buzzer not programmed)
- Steady on for 1 second: status transmitter toward CS400. (ALL OK)
- Fast flash for 1 second: control signal reception from CS400 (ALL OK)
- Slowly flashes during self-learning phase (see below)
CONNECTING THE POWER SUPPLY TERMINALS:
- Connect a power to the + - terminals (see figure) having an output voltage between 10 - 15 Vcc 200mA
POLARIZED BATTERY CONNECTOR:
- Connect the battery pack included in the buzzer package (TYPE Ni-MH 700mAh 7.2Vcc)
ASSEMBLY OF BUZZER SHELL AND ACCESSORIES
An installation according to standard requires the use of a screw fastened to a wall, whose head must exert pressure on the anti-
removal microswitch, located on the lower side of the board.
Note: bending the metal tab of the microswitch to achieve the same purpose nullifies the certification.

Learn key
The CSR400 transmitter has been designed to be used with radio-controlled R 400 series control units; as such, it does not require
to be programmed. Connect the FLAT cable of the transmitter board to the multi-polar socket in the control unit and follow the
programming steps described in the next chapters.
TWO-COLORED EXTERNAL LED:
GREEN COMBINATION = OPERATION OK
ORANGE COMBINATION = FAILURE
RED COMBINATION = FAULT
Two-colored LED - green combination:
- Brief green flash every 4 seconds: in standby operating mode
- Steady on green: system enabled
- Slowly flashing green: system alarm
Two-colored LED - orange combination:
- flashes orange every 4’’: battet not charged
- Slow orange flash: battery charginb (low battery)
- Steady on orange: battery almost fully recharged
Two-colored LED - red combination:
- Slow red flash: very low battery (no power)
- Fast red flash: battery dead, replace
- Steady on red: buzzer has lost supervision.
GREEN LED inside the transmitter (RADIO PART SYSTEM AND CHECK):
- Steady on: transmitter not associated (not programmed for a buzzer)
- Steady on for 1 second: control transmitted to buzzer. (ALL OK)
- Fast flah for 1 second: status signal reception from buzzer (ALL OK)
- Slowly flashing: during self-learning phase (see below)

Device programming is of self-learing type and takes place in two-way mode in just one operation:
- Power both the devices
- Hold the key on the SRL400 buzzer pressed until the green LED of the board flashes slowly.
- Hold the key on the SRL400 transmitter pressed until the green LED of the board flashes slowly.
- Hold the key on the CSR400 or on the SRL400 pressed shortly.
- If the programming sequence is not successful, both LED (on the SRL400 and on the CSR400 buzzer) will stop flashing slowly.
To check that the 2 objects are properly programmed, press the key on the CSR400 and check the BEEP on the SRL400 buzzer.
Conversely, by pressing the key on buzzer, the green LED will flash fast from 1 to 3 times.
Note: the combination between CSR400 and SRL400 is unique.
