QUICK START GUIDE: WAT 403 000
Dear Customer,
This Quick Start Guide is enclosed with detailed washing
machine operating instructions. Before using the appliance
carefully read the Operating Instructions, especially
guidelines for safe use.
Before plugging the washing machine into the mains,
remove the safety packaging and ensure the machine is
level. Do not start the washing machine before it is properly
set up.
Only wash delicate fabrics, synthetics, wool using
designated programs. Such fabrics should only be washed
in the maximum load sizes recommended (see page 2.).
The correct washing machine operation extends its
lifetime so make sure the drum seal is dry (leave the door
ajar after washing). Do not clean the washing machine with
harsh or abrasive detergents.
Preparing to wash1
Empty pockets
Close all zips and button up duvet covers.
Wash delicate and small items in a protective mesh
laundry bag.
Open the door of the washing machine by gripping
the door and the door handle on the inside of the
door.
Insert the sorted clothes into the washing machine:
Cotton — max full drum.
Synthetics — max ½ of the drum.
Silk, wool — max ⅓ of the drum.
Close the door, press 󰘰rmly against the seal.
Add detergent2
Open the detergent drawer. Pull the handle.
Pour the recommended dose of washing detergent
into the appropriate compartment of the detergent
drawer.
Add fabric conditioner to the appropriate
compartment if required.
MAIN WASH detergent.
Fabric softener or other special care liquids.
PREWASH detergent.
Program selections3
Set the programme selector knob to the desired
programme.
In order to adapt the programme to your
individual needs, you can set the temperature,
spin speed, set the drying level, drying time or
set a delayed start.
Select additional functions. The additional
functions are described on the control panel and
in the “Table of Wash Programmes” (see page 2) .
Select START4
Close the appliance door.
Set the programme selector dial to the desired
programme (see page 2).
Select additional functions or wash cycle
parameters as required – according to your
needs.
Select time remaining ranging from 0 to 24
hours.
Then press the START/ PAUSE button.
End of the wash5
When the programme has ended End will 󰘱ash on
the display.
Turn o󰘯 the water valve.
Set the programme selection.
Unplug the appliance from the mains.
Open the door and remove laundry.

Drying cotton To increase the washing eects, washing time is increased.

Synthetic
Wash synthetic articles, for example: shirts, coats, blending.
While washing the knitting textiles, detergent quantity shall be
reduced due to its loose string construction and easily forming
bubbles.

Mix Mixed load consisting of textiles made of cotton and synthetics. 12
5kg W/D For wash and dry, load limitation is 5 kg. 13
1Hour W/D
For small synthetic clothes or shirts, load limitation is 1 kg (about 4
shirts). When you have an urgent appointment but no more clean shirt
left in your cupboard, this program will help you.Time duration is only
1 hour including wash and dry. Remark: Big towels or jeans is not
suitable for this program, they will enlarge the time duration and
aect the moisture content.

- standard programmes for washing cotton fabrics at 60 °C. This programme is suitable for washing normally soiled
cotton fabrics. This is the most eective programme for washing these type of fabrics, taking into account the total
energy and water consumption.
The most energy and water ecient wash programmes are generally those that run at lower temperature and for a
long time.
Loading the washing machine to the full capacity indicated by the manufacturer for the respective wash programmes
will save energy and water.
*Note: Real water temperature may dier from the declared wash cycle temperature.

Time given is an estimate only. It can dier from the actual washing time depending on temperature, water pres-
sure and quantity
of laundry loaded. The time is automatically updated during the wash cycle and it is normal for it to stop or skip.
