5. Communication lines and peripherals
5.1. Geographic addressing
Information panel ALP3C1810/A1 geographic address is set by interconnecting
the address inputs ADx with COM pin on connector X2.
Combination of bits AD1 (LSB) to AD4 (MSB) represents by itself the binary
form of geographic address. ADx, connected to COM pin, corresponds with
log. 1. If ADx left unconnected –log.0 is set, see table of addresses. Addresses
have offset 64. See address table.

Leaving the X2 connector unwired causes that address is set to 64.
By connecting COM, AD2 and AD3 pins is the address set to 70.
5.2. Light sensor
Information panel is equipped with light sensor that is used for measuring of
ambient light. Thanks to this sensor, information panel can regulate brightness
to optimal value, according to ambient conditions. For panel correct operation
the sensor must be exposed to the ambient light, and must not be covered
anything.

6. Mounting
Information panel is designed to be mounted onto rail coach interior with four
mounting holes located on the panel sides, or with six mounting holes located
on the panel back. Information panel is attached by bolts, fastened to M5 nuts.
Thread depth in all mounting holes is 9.5 mm.
When mounting information panel on the coach wall, the light sensor must be
exposed to ambient light.

6.1. Installation rules
PE terminal of power supply connector must be connected with local installation
earthing terminal.
Minimum cross-section of supplying conductors must be at least 0.75 mm2.
All cabling must be carefully tied by cable ties to avoid the excessive connector
pulling or prying.
The RS 485 communication line must be shielded. Shielding must be connected
to PE terminal of information panel.
