On/Off Button:
When the TIC 300 PRO is activated,
the blue LED’s and audible alert will
pulse at a slow rate, approximately
twice per second.
SELF-TEST Button:
The TEST button should be used to
ensure tool is operational. The TEST
function will cause the blue LEDs
and audible alert to pulse at a con-
tinuous rate on either LOW or HIGH
range setting.
LOW Range Setting
1. Push ON/OFF button to turn the
unit ON.
2. The unit will default to the high
voltage setting when powered-
up. A twice per second beep will
be heard, and the blue LEDs will
flash at the same rate.
3. Push the LOW range button, and
the unit is ready for low voltage
detection.
4. Place the probe tip of the TIC 300
PRO with VolTect™near, but not
touching the low (<1000 V) volt-
age source. See bottom table for
range details.
5. If voltage is present, the blue
LEDs and audible alert will pulse
at an increased rate.
HIGH Range Setting
(> 1500 V and <122 kV)
(TIC 410A Hot Stick must be used)
1. Push the HIGH range setting but-
ton.
2. Approach the probe tip near, but
not touching the high voltage
conductor. See bottom table for
details.
3. If voltage is present, the blue
LEDs and audible alert will pulse
at an increased rate.
