To Amy`s New Families
Dear Family,
It is great honor to be a member in your life. I am intelligent,
but newly born. If I bump into you or any furnishing by accident,
please forgive me since I am still young. Although Dad and
friends say that I am great robot, there are still many things
that I need to learn. There is no end for learning. Amy promises
that I will be smarter by self-updating monthly with additional
and stable capabilities.
Sometimes, if I make no response to your command, do not think
that I pay no attention to you, it's just because I am drowsy,
please patiently call me once more and I will be back.
Baby Amy can definitely be your most thoughtful family member
in the near future, to bring you convenience and happiness.

Part I AMY ROBOT OVERVIEW
1 Robot Overview
1.1 Appearance
Microphone array
A microphone array composed of 5 sound pickup heads is located near the neck of the robot,
which can effectively promote the ability of receiving sound and resisting noise thus improve the
speech recognition. Thanks to the far-field enhancement and noise suppression technologies, the
robot can be responsive up to 3m when listening to your commands no matter in which angel of
the robot.
Note: Be sure to keep the surface of MIC-array clear and clean. Any blocking of the pick-up will
severely affect the sound receiver which may decline the performance of voice interaction.

5
Interactive LED Light
A color LED ring, which resides at the chest of the robot, has got several patterns that indicate
the operation status. You can have a better communication with Amy Robot through this LED
ring.
Patterns:
Orange flashing -> battery low
Orange flashing -> battery charging
Light blue breathing -> normal
Green flashing -> thinking
Red flashing -> Error occurred
HD camera
Amy Robot is equipped with an HD (720p) camera together with an advanced cloud processor
which ensures you a perfect experience of video conference, real-time surveillance, face
recognition and other functions.
Capacitive touch
There are several capacitive touch areas designed around the robot's head for users to intuitively
move the head to desired positions. By touching the lower surface of the head, it will go upwards.
By touching the upper surface of the head, it will move downwards. By touching the right surface,
it will turn to left. By touching the left surface, it will turn to right.
Speaker system
There are 4 speakers installed on the robot. Two tweeters are located on sideways of the head.
Two cross-over pairs of midrange speaker and woofer are located right above the chassis. Such
speaker system can deliver high quality listening experience when proper audio source applies.
