A tec’s TruePower New series uses DC to DC co versio for the 5V a d 3.3V rails. The DC to DC voltage regulatio
module is the most adva ced desig , usually fou d o high-e d motherboards, to step dow DC voltage. This
module operates at 85% efficie cy, as opposed to traditio al mag etic amplifiers that operate at o ly 75%
efficie cy. A other be efit is that tra sie t respo se time is almost 100 times faster, providi g remarkably stable
power output i respo se to cha gi g loads.

Pulse Width Modulatio tech ology allows the TruePower New series to fi ely co trol the speed of the power
supply’s fa . By usi g this method i stead of the traditio al voltage co trolled fa s, this PSU’s fa ca ru up to
50% quieter tha sta dard fa s. A PWM fa ca ru as slow as 10-15% of the fa ’s rated top speed, whereas a
voltage-regulated fa ca o ly go as low as 40%.
