Safety Advice and Installation Instruction
Power Ant Mini (Date: March 2014)
Safety Advice
You need to adhere to the following advice
for mounting and training with the Power Ant
Mini:
The Power Ant Mini needs to be mounted on
a level surface. When mounting the board to
a crooked or wavy wall it can either happen
that the board cracks while bolting it down
or it does not have enough strength to sup-
port your weight. Never bolt your Power Ant
Mini onto gypsum plasterboard or any other
kind of drywall as well as crumbly brick walls.
These supports are too weak, the board will
get pulled out of them under load. This is a
SAFETY HAZARD!
Check before every training session that all
bolts are still tight. If there is the slightest in-
dication that the board could become loose
or even starts to wobble it must not be used
for training until until all bolts are tightened
and there is no movement of the board.
We are not liable for damages or injuries due
to not conforming to the instructions in this
manual.
Note: The included bolts do not slide easily
through the holes in the board, they have to
be bolted through. This is necessary so when
the board is bolted to the wall the bolts have
very little play between them and the board.

Currently there are two Applications to your Power Ant Mini available:
Knockers 80
The Knockers 80 spherical holds allow to in-
tensify your training even more. The gripping
of the spheres increases the strain of the fo-
rearms on every pull signicantly compared
to the sticks. A tight hand grip and a strong
fore arm are the result of the training. The
Knockers 80 spheres t on all Ant Hill peg-
boards, the Power Ant Mini, Strong Ant II as
well as Strong Ant Pure.
Diameter: 80mm
Knockers 100
The big sisters of the Knockers 80. Due to
the larger diameter even more gripping pow-
er is necessary.
Diameter: 100mm
Mark the lower point of the board on the wall
(preferably above a door frame).
Screw the Power Ant Mini rmly with little
force, so that you can already turn the board.
Drill with a 10 mm stone driller a 80mm deep
hole into the concrete wall and put one of the
plugs into it.
Adjust the board into a symetric position,
mark the two left holes, drill them, etc.
If all bolts are screwed in check the solidity of
the installation.
Dear Sportsfreund,
you have a Power Ant Mini from antworks in
front of you. We hope you will have as much
fun with it as we have. However, based on
our experience we are pretty condent about
that. If you ever happen to have a problem
with your combiboard, if it has a defect or if
there is any other reason for your dissatis-
faction with the Power Ant Mini, we would
like to ask you (no, actually beg you) to tell
us immediately. We will nd a proper solution
for you as fast as possible so we can make
sure you are having fun with your Power Ant
Mini. Why are we asking for this? antworks
is still a very young company and we can not
afford disgruntled customers.
So if you are happy with your board, go and
scream it out to the whole world, if not, let us
know so we can solve your problem. Thank
you so much and keep on reading.
Manufacturing
It is made from 40mm thick, laminated
beech wood. The outer contour and the n-
ger pockets are milled by a CNC-lathe with
a special mill bit which creates a perma-
nently rough surface to achieve optimal grip
under all circumstances. The holes and the
nishing is made in our workstation by hand.
To allow the wood to absorb moisture from
sweaty hands, the surface stays untreated.
Maintenance
The Power Ant Mini is untreated. With ongo-
ing training the wood will stain from sweat
and grime at the spots where the hands usu-
ally touch it. You can sand out the staining
with ne sand paper if necessary. Apart from
that the board requires no further mainte
nance.
Training
The Power Ant Mini is a training board for
climbing enthusiasts, pull-up fanatics and
everyone who wants to become one. The
board is especially suited for beginners in
pull-up training.
Please make sure you are properly warmed
up before you start your pull-up training. Pull-
ups with „cold“ arms can lead to injuries of
muscles and tendons. And yes, training is
only useful if it is done over a longer period
of time.
Finally we are leaving you with a little, use-
ful advice. Pull-ups are hard, and that is
how it is supposed to be. If you ever get to
the point where you feel you can‘t do another
pull, ask yourself the question if you could
do another if someone would offer you EUR
100 for every additional pull-up. Try it out, it
really works.
So, now bolt that thing to the wall and ...
... torture yourself!
