1 Sicherheitshinweise
Durch eine sorgfältige Installation und Bedienung tragen Sie entscheidend zur Gewährleistung des
uneingeschränkten Funktionsumfanges des Gerätes und der Anlage bei. Beachten Sie bitte die ange-
brachten Beschriftungen um Verwechslungen zu verhindern. Bevor Sie das Gerät installieren, lesen Sie
bitte zuerst diese Anleitung durch und machen sich mit dem Gerät vertraut.
1.1 Wartung
Das Gerät benötigt keine Wartung. Reinigung nur mit einem mit Wasser befeuchtetem Lappen. Keine
Lösungsmittel oder sonstige aggressive Mittel verwenden.
1.2 Garantie / Haftung
AQUAMETRO garantiert im Rahmen der allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen für die Qualität dieses
Produktes. AQUAMETRO ist qualitätszertifiziert nach ISO 9001/EN 29001, und ihre Produkte werden
nach den aktuellen Normen und den bekannten Richtlinien hergestellt. AQUAMETRO haftet nicht für
unsachgemässen Einbau und Betrieb.
Die Haftung für Installation und fachgemässe Handhabung des Gerätes geht auf den Eigentümer oder
Betreiber über. Deshalb unbedingt:
•Montageanleitung beachten.
•Gerät nur für den bestimmten Zweck einsetzen.
2 Einbau und Anschluss
Der Montageort sollte unter Beachtung der untenstehenden Punkte ausgewählt werden:
•gut zugänglich für Montage und Service.
•geschützter, möglichst trockener Ort, ohne Hitzeeinwirkung und Sonnenbestrahlung.
•Kabeleinführungen nach unten ausrichten.

2.2 Montage
•Gerät durch Lösen der Gehäuseschrauben (3) und entfernen des Deckels (1) öffnen.
•Gehäusedeckel beiseite legen.
•Die Befestigungslöcher (4) anhand des Massbildes bohren.
•Das Gehäuseunterteil (2) mit den beiliegenden Schrauben ∅3,5x30mm an der Wand befestigen
oder bei glatter Oberfläche mit den doppelseitigen Klebestreifen befestigen.

2.3 Anschluss
•Impulsgeberkabel an den zwei Klemmen (9) polrichtig anschliessen.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die M-Bus-Leitung spannungsfrei geschaltet ist!
•RJ-11-Stecker des Verbindungskabels in Anschlussbuchse (10) einstecken.
•Gehäusedeckel (1) aufsetzen und Gerät zuschrauben.
•Freier RJ-11 Stecker des Verbindungskabels in die RJ-11 Buchse des ANS-1 oder ANS-4
einstecken oder
•Verbindungskabel mit freien Enden gemäss untenstehenden Angaben an den M-Bus anschliessen.

Bei Verwendung von fremden Verbindungskabeln kontrollieren Sie bitte:

2.4 Parametrierung
Die Konfiguration und Parametereinstellung erfolgt via M-Bus.
Die Parametrierung lässt sich durch Setzen des sogenannten „Sperrbit’s“ nach Ab-
schluss der Parametrierung und nachfolgender Plombierung des Gehäusedeckels
vor Manipulation schützen. Damit wird das Rücksetzen des „Sperrbit’s“ verhindert.
Zur Umparametrierung eines geschützten AMBUS®IS kann das „Sperrbit„ temporär
zurückgesetzt werden.
Dazu muss das Gerät unter Verletzung der Sicherheitsplombe geöffnet, und die mit
„Sperrbit“ bezeichnete Stelle auf der Printplatte kurzgeschlossen werden.

Nach erfolgter Umparametrierung oder ab Datumswechsel auf den folgenden Tag ist der AMBUS®IS
automatisch wieder gesperrt.

2.6 Benutzerplombe

7 Safety instructions
Careful installation and operation are essential to ensure the full functional capability of the device and
the plant. In particular, pay attention to the labeling to make sure that the device is connected to the
system for which it has been configured. Before installing, please read through these instructions and
familiarize yourself with the device.
7.1 Maintenance
The device requires no maintenance. Clean only with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents or other ag-
gressive liquids.
7.2 Guarantee/liability
AQUAMETRO guarantees the quality of this product as specified in the General Terms of Business.
AQUAMETRO is certified according to ISO 9001/EN 29001 and its products are manufactured based
on current standards and recognized guidelines. AQUAMETRO accepts no liability for improper instal-
lation or operation.
The liability for installation and proper use of the device lies with the owner or operator. Thus it is es-
sential to ensure that:
•Assembly and operating instructions are complied with.
•The device is used only for the purpose for which it is designed.
8 Installation and connection
A suitable point should be chosen for installation of the device, whereby particular attention should be
paid to the following:
•Ready access for installation and service.
•Location protected from the influence of damp, heat and direct sunlight.
•Cable entry from below.
8.1 Installation
•Open device by removing the housing screws (3) and the cover (1).
•Place housing cover aside.
•Drill fixing holes (4) as shown in the diagramme of the device dimensions.
•Fix the base (2) to the wall using the enclosed Ø 3.5 x 30 mm screws, or, if the wall is smooth,
using the double-sided adhesive tape.

8.3 Connection
•Connect pulser cable to the two terminals (9), ensuring correct polarity.
Make sure that the M-Bus cable is not connected to the voltage supply!
•Insert RJ-11 plug of connecting cable into connecting socket (10).
•Replace housing cover (1) and screw tight.
•Insert remaining RJ-11 plug of connecting cable into the RJ-11 socket of the ANS-1 or ANS-4
or
•Connect the free ends of the connecting cable to the M-Bus as shown in the diagrammes below.

8.4 Operational check
•Check the operation and configuration of the installed AMBUS® IS using the MBUSTOOL program
from AQUAMETRO. (Further information on this is contained in the handbook on this program.)
•When the operational check has been successfully performed, installation of the AMBUS® unit is
complete.
•After commissioning, seal one of the screws with the enclosed security seal (5).

8.5 Parametrization
Configuration and parameter setting is performed via M-Bus.
The parametrization may be protected from manipulation by setting the so-called
'stop bit' after completion of parametrization and subsequent sealing of the housing
cover. This prevents the stop bit from being reset.
To reparametrize a protected AMBUS®IS, the stop bit may be temporarily reset. To
do this, the device must be opened. This involves breaking the safety seal and short-
ing the position designated as 'stop bit' on the PCB.

Following reparametrization or change of date (change of day), AMBUS®-IS is automatically dis-
enabled.
