•Note: Should the heater give off a slight odor or smoke when used for the first time or after
prolonged storage, this will be normal and will disappear after a longer period of use of the
heater.
1. Look for a suitable location for your electric heater, taking into account the above safety
instructions.
2. Insert the mains plug into a suitable socket.
3. Fully turn the thermostat switch clockwise to the maximum setting.
4. Turn on the heating elements using the toggle switches on the side panel. When the heaters
are on, the switches light up. For the highest possible heat output, please switch both
switches on.
5. When the desired room temperature has been reached, the thermostat switch should be
turned slowly counterclockwise until a click sound is heard and the lights on the switches are
off. After that, the heater keeps the set room temperature by automatically turning it on and
off.
6. In the minimum position (completely counterclockwise), the heater provides an antifreeze
program. In this position, depending on the size of the room, the heater gets the
temperature above the freezing point.
•This model is additionally equipped with a 24-hour timer. Each of the 96 segments equals 15
minutes. With the help of this timer, it is possible to preset the time and duration of the
period(s) for which the heater should operate in any 24-hour period.
3.1 Timer operation
•The middle of the timer has a 3-position slide switch.
•In the middle position (indicated by the clock icon), the timer will turn the heater on and off
at the times set by the segments (see Setting the timer below).
•The position indicated by the (I) overrides the timer. The timer turns the heater on and off at
the times determined by the sections. (see timer setting below)
•In the position marked (O), the timer continues to run, but no power is supplied to the
heater.
3.2 Setting the timer
•Make sure the slide switch on the timer is in the middle position next to the clock icon.
•Turn the outer ring of the timer clockwise until the current time matches the arrow pointer.
If e.g. the current time to set the timer is 8 o'clock in the evening, turn the outer ring until
the number 20 is in line with the arrow.
•Set the time for the heater to run by pulling the segments around the outer ring forward for
the required running time.
•After the time is set, the heater will run according to the desired operating time.
•When set, the heater operates every day at the programmed time. Note that the heater
must always be connected to an electrical outlet, the element switches must be on and the
thermostat must be set to turn on the heater.
•If the heater is to run continuously, the slide switch on the timer should be set to (I).
•If you want to switch back to timer mode, the slide switch of the timer should be set to the
middle clock position.
•Note: When used in timer mode, it should be noted that the heater can be turned on
unattended.
