Thank you for purchasing our product. Please read the operating instructions carefully before using
the product for the first time. If you give the product to a third party, this manual must be handed
over with it. Protect yourself and others by observing all safety information, warnings and
precautions. Failure to follow the instructions may result in injury and/or damage to the product or
property. Keep the instruction manual for future reference. The drawings in this manual may not
match the physical objects. Please refer to the physical objects.
1.Safety instructions
1.1 Introduction
•These operating instructions are intended to familiarise you with the installation, use and
maintenance of the appliance. To install the unit safely and correctly, please read the
operating instructions before you start.
•Check the unit for any damage that may have occurred during transport. Immediately report
any damage to the carrier by which the product was delivered.
1.2 Explanation of the symbols
By means of a CE marking, it can be recognized that a product complies with the
legal provisions of European legal standards and therefore may be traded within
the European Community.
This product must not be disposed of with household waste!
Warning! Read the safety instructions carefully. Failure to follow the safety
precautions could result in serious injury or damage. Keep the operating
instructions in a safe place.

1.3 General safety instructions
•Your safety is of the most importance to us. Please make sure that you read this instruction
booklet before attempting to install and use the appliance. If you are unsure of any of the
information contained in this booklet, please contact the Retailer where you purchased your
unit.
•WARNING: Read all safety and usage instructions. Failure to follow the safety
information and instructions can cause electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Keep all
safety and usage instructions for future reference.
•DO NOT use the product until you read the instruction manual.
•Make sure you have read the instruction manual thoroughly and understand the contents
before you start the installation.
•The instructions are in the interest of your safety.
•Read the instructions carefully. It contains important instructions for the use, safety and
maintenance of the device. It should be stored carefully and, if necessary, passed on to
subsequent users.
•The device may only be used for the intended purpose, in accordance with these instructions
for use.
•This device may be used by children 8 years old and over, and by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been
supervised or instructed in the safe device and understand the hazards arising therefrom.
•Keep the device and its supply out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.
•Children are not allowed to play with the device.
•Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.
•If the power cord of this equipment is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer's
centralized service department or a similarly qualified person. Improper repairs can cause
significant risks for the user.
•Before commissioning, check the device and its connecting cable and accessories for damage.
•Do not use the device if it has visible damage.
•Before connecting to the power supply, make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating
plate matches the voltage of your power outlet. Use only sockets with protective contact.
•Do not crush the connecting cable, do not pull it over sharp edges or hot surfaces. Do not use
the connecting cable for carrying.
•If the power cord of this equipment is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or
a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.
•Turn off the device before disconnecting it from the power supply.
•Disconnect the mains plug of the device after each use, in case of faults during operation and
before every cleaning of the device.
•Never disconnect the plug from the power cord or with wet hands.

•Make sure that the device has good stability during operation and cannot be tripped over the
power cable.
•Never use the device after a malfunction, e.g. if the device has fallen into the water or has
fallen or been damaged in any other way.
•The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for incorrect use, which results from non-
observance of the instructions for use.
•Modifications of the product will affect product safety.
•All modifications and repairs to the device or accessories may only be carried out by the
manufacturer or persons expressly authorized by the manufacturer.
•Make sure that the product is operated from a power outlet that is easily accessible so you
can quickly unplug the unit in case of an emergency.
•If possible, do not use extension cords. If this is unavoidable, use only GS-approved, splash-
proof, simple extension cords (not multi-outlet) designed to handle the power consumption
of the unit.
•To avoid a dangerous electric shock, never splash or pour water on the device.
1.4 Specific safety instructions
•The device is intended for household or similar use only. It may not be used for commercial
purposes!
•Please use the product only in its intended manner.
•Any other use may result in damage to the product or the environment of the product.
•The device is only suitable for indoor use.
•Make sure that the device has good stability during operation and that the power cable does
not become a hindrance or tripping hazard.
•Do not leave loose, small or light objects near the unit. These can be sucked into the interior
of the device.
•The device must not be used in the bathroom.
•Do not allow the cool air to blow you directly and do not let the air in the room get too cold.
Malaise and health damage can be caused.
•Do not place plants or animals directly in the cool air stream. Animals and plants can suffer
from the cool air flow.
•Only operate with completely unrolled cable!
•Never block the air intake or exhaust. Do not operate the device covered.
•Never use the device without a protective grille.
•Keep the device away from TV and radio equipment to avoid electromagnetic interference.
•Do not lay the cable under the carpet or other flammable materials.
•Do not touch the device or the control panel with wet or damp hands.

2.Use
•Stellen Sie den Ventilator auf eine ebene, gerade Fläche.
•Verbinden Sie den Ventilator mit der Stromversorgung.
•Drücken Sie die Ein/Aus-Taste auf der Fernbedienung oder dem Bedienfeld, um den
Ventilator einzuschalten.

•Press this button to switch to the desired fan speed (1-4). The LED of the corresponding fan
stage lights up.
2.3 Mode button
•Press the mode button and you can choose between sleep mode (gentle ventilation) and
"storm" mode (highest level).

2.4 Set Timer
•Press the timer button to set the timer in hours (1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 6 → 7 → off). The
LEDs of the corresponding number of hours light up.

2.5 Tilt angle
•Press the tilt angle button to tilt the fan head. The fan head moves from top to bottom and
back again until you stop it by pressing the button again. He then stops in the stopped
position.
2.6 Oscillation
•Press the oscillation button on the remote control or control panel to swivel the fan head.
The fan head moves from right to left and back again until you stop it by pressing the button
again. He then stops in the stopped position.
2.7 Turning off
•Press the ON/OFF button on the remote control or control panel to put the fan into standby
mode. Disconnect the power plug from the power supply to turn off the fan.

4.Cleaning and maintenance
•Clean the fan regularly.
•Never immerse the cable and the device in water or rinse under running water.
•Warning: Always disconnect the device from the power before moving or cleaning it.
•Disconnect power and wait for the fan to stop before cleaning.
•Clean the guard with a vacuum cleaner of dust and other debris.
•Use a damp cloth to clean the surface of the device.
•The following agents should not be used for cleaning: petrol, paint thinner or other
chemicals.
•Allow the fan to dry completely before using it again.
•Leave the fan completely assembled for storage.
•Keep the fan in a cool, dry and safe place away from children and animals when not using the
fan for a long time. The device must not be stored in a hot location or under direct sunlight.
•At best, store the fan in its original packaging.

5. Environmentally friendly disposal
5.1 Disposal and packaging
•The packaging of your unit consists of materials that are necessary to guarantee effective
protection during transport. These materials are fully recyclable and therefore reduce the
environmental impact. Dispose of the packaging in a bin for recyclable materials.
5.2 Disposal of old equipment
•Old appliances must be disposed of in accordance with the guidelines and regulations of the
local waste disposal authority. Check with your local administration for the address of the
nearest recycling centre and deliver your appliance there.
The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin on a Waste electrical or electronic
equipment indicates that it must not be disposed of with household waste at
the end of its life. Collection points for waste electrical and electronic
equipment are available free of charge in your area. You can obtain the
addresses from your city or local government. You can find out about other
return options created by us on our website www.arebos.de.
The separate collection of Waste electrical or electronic equipment is intended
to enable the reuse, recycling or other forms of recovery of Waste electrical or
electronic equipment and to avoid the negative consequences of disposal on
the environment and human health.
Notes on battery disposal
The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin on batteries or accumulators indicates that they must not be
disposed of with household waste at the end of their service life. If batteries or accumulators contain
mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb), you will find the respective chemical symbol below the
symbol of the crossed-out trash can. You are legally obliged to return old batteries and accumulators
after use. You can do this free of charge in a retail store or at another collection point near you.
