1.4 Dangers due to electric current
•The voltage indicated on the nameplate of the unit must match the voltage of your mains
power.
•Only connect the device to a power outlet that has been properly installed. Do not use a
power strip or an extension cord.
•Never operate the device with an external timer or any other remotely controllable device.

•Dipping the device in water or other liquids can cause a life-threatening electrical shock!
•Keep the device, power cord and plug away from hot surfaces, open flames, direct sunlight

example in the doors).
•When removing the plug from the socket, always pull on the plug and not on the cable.
•Lay the cable as well as a possibly required extension cable so that unintentional pulling or
tripping is not possible.
•If an extension cord is used, it must be suitable for the corresponding power, otherwise
overheating of the cable and/or the plug may occur.
•If the power cord of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by a suitably qualified person
to avoid hazards. The same applies to the plug.
•For additional protection during installation in the bathroom, a residual current device (RCD)
with a rated tripping current of not more than 30 mA is recommended. In this regard,
contact an authorized electrician.
