the product for the first time. If you give the product to a third party, this manual must be handed
over with it. Protect yourself and others by observing all safety information, warnings and
precautions. Failure to follow the instructions may result in injury and/or damage to the product or
property. Keep the instruction manual for future reference. The drawings in this manual may not
match the physical objects. Please refer to the physical objects.
1.Introduction and safety instructions
1.1 Introduction
•These operating instructions are intended to familiarise you with the installation, use and
maintenance of the appliance. To install the unit safely and correctly, please read the
operating instructions before you start.
•Check the unit for any damage that may have occurred during transport. Immediately report
any damage to the carrier by which the product was delivered.
1.2 Explanation of the symbols
The symbol "GS" stands for tested safety. Products marked with this symbol comply
with the requirements of the German Product Safety Act (ProdSG).
By means of a CE marking, it can be recognized that a product complies with the
legal provisions of European legal standards and therefore may be traded within
the European Community.
Warning! Read the safety instructions carefully. Failure to follow the safety
precautions could result in serious injury or damage. Keep the operating
instructions in a safe place.

1.3 General safety instructions
•Your safety is of the most importance to us. Please make sure that you read this instruction
booklet before attempting to install and use the appliance. If you are unsure of any of the
information contained in this booklet, please contact the Retailer where you purchased your
unit.
•WARNING: Read all safety and usage instructions. Failure to follow the safety
information and instructions can cause electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Keep all
safety and usage instructions for future reference.
•DO NOT use the product until you read the instruction manual.
•Make sure you have read the instruction manual thoroughly and understand the contents
before you start the installation.
•The instructions are in the interest of your safety.
•Please keep this manual, the invoice and - if possible - the box with the packing material
carefully.
•Check the device for transport damage. Immediately report damage to the carrier with which
the device was delivered.
•This device complies with all electromagnetic field (EMF) standards. If handled properly and
in accordance with the instructions in this manual, it will be safe to use as it is based on
current scientific principles.
•This device may be used only for household purposes and for the application for which it was
made.
•Only use the fan indoors. Never operate it in wet rooms or in the rain. Do not use the device
outdoors.
•Never use the device directly next to a heat source.
•Do not operate the device in potentially explosive areas.
•Do not operate the device in an aggressive atmosphere.
•Do not expose the device to directly squirting water.
•Make sure the air inlet and outlet are free.
•Make sure that the immediate area around the air inlet and outlet is always free of loose
objects.
•To prevent the fan from tipping over during operation, place it on a firm, level and stable
surface.
•Use the fan only in locations where the ambient temperature does not exceed 40°C. Do not
expose the fan to extreme temperatures. Avoid direct sunlight and heating.
•Make sure that the cable does not hang over the edge of a table or counter, touches any hot
surface or comes into direct contact with hot parts of the device. Do not place the device
under or next to curtains, window curtains, etc.
This product must not be disposed of with household waste!
Warning! Do not put fingers and other limbs in the fan housing!

•Never expose the fan to wheather effects (rain, etc.).
•Attention! Never leave the device unattended.
•Improper handling of the fan can cause damage.
•Do not cover the safety guard with objects such as magazines, tablecloths or curtains. Do not
hang objects on the safety guard and do not attach any objects to the device.
•Do not cover the device during operation and do not transport it.
•The fan must not be operated with an external timer or a separate telecontrol system.
•Stop using the fan if the plastic components have cracked or are deformed.
•Only replace damaged components with suitable original spare parts. In this case, contact the
service address provided in this manual. The use of third-party accessories and resulting
damage to the device invalidates any warranty. In the event of accidents or damage
attributable to third-party accessories, no liability whatsoever applies.
•Ensure that damaged cables or plugs are replaced by an authorized technician. Do not repair
the device by yourself.
•All repairs must be carried out by a competent, qualified electrician.
•If you do not use the fan, clean it or if a malfunction occurs, always switch it off and
disconnect the power plug from the mains.
•Disconnect the power before replacing parts or performing any maintenance.
•Turn off the fan and unplug the power cord when not in use, when malfunctions occur or
when an object has entered through the safety guard.
•Never store the fan so that it can fall into a tub or a basin.
1.4 Specific safety instructions
•This fan can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children are not allowed to play with the fan. Cleaning and
user maintenance must not be performed by children unless they are eight years or older
and are supervised.
•To protect children from the dangers of electrical appliances, you must ensure that the fan is
never left unattended. For this reason, you must select a storage location for the device that
children can not reach. Make sure that the cable does not hang down.
•Keep children younger than eight years away from the fan and power cord.

1.5 Electrical safety
•Attention! Faulty electrical installation or excessive mains voltage can lead to electric shocks.
•Only connect the fan if the mains voltage of the socket agrees with the nameplate.
•The operating voltage is: AC 220 -240 V 50 Hz. The socket must be protected with at least 16
A or 10 A.

•Only connect the fan to an easily accessible power socket so that you can quickly disconnect
it from the power supply in the event of a fault.
•If you use an extension cord, make sure that it complies with the applicable safety
regulations.
•Do not operate the fan if it is visibly damaged or the power cord or plug is defective.
•Do not bring the power cord into contact with hot parts.
•If the power cord of the fan is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.
•To protect against electric shock, never immerse the cord, plug, or device in water or any
other liquid.
•Never touch the power plug with wet hands.
•Never disconnect the power plug from the power outlet by the power cord, always grasp the
power plug.
•Never move the fan by pulling on the cable and make sure that the cable is not entangled.
•Do not wrap the cable around the device and do not kink it.
•Keep the fan, the power plug and the power cord away from open flames and hot surfaces.
•Lay the power cord so that it does not become a trip hazard.
•Do not bend the power cord and do not lay it over sharp edges as this will cause a
cable break.
•Never grab an electrical appliance if it has fallen into the water. In such case, disconnect the
power plug immediately.
2.Intended use
•The fan is designed exclusively for the ventilation of dry, closed rooms in the private
household. It is exclusively for private use and not suitable for commercial use.
•Only use the fan with original accessories and only as described in this manual. Any other use
is considered improper and may result in property damage or even personal injury.
•The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.

5.Assembly
•Take the device and its accessories out of the box. Remove sticker, protective foil or plastic
from the device.
•Loosen and remove the four screws from the rods, cross the rods, place the extension tube
on the base and tighten the screws.
•Loosen the screws on the housing by turning it to the left, attach the housing to the
extension tube and retighten the screws.
•Mount the back safety guard and the motor so that the holes in the back safety guard sit
exactly on the pins of the motor housing. Place the back safety guard on the pins.
•Attach the back safety guard to the motor housing using the rear safety guard locknut.
•Place the blades on the axle so that the scroll slots fit on the axle pin, and fix the blades by
pressing the fan blade lock button.
•Check the blades by hand rotation. Make sure that no friction occurs; if friction occurs,
repeat the previous steps one more time.
•Mount the front guard using the brackets and the supplied screw on the back safety guard.
•Plug the power cord into the power outlet. (Note: Make sure that the voltage displayed on
the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device).
6.Use
•Place the fan on a firm and stable surface.
•Plug the power plug into an easily accessible power outlet.
Odor development at first commissioning:
•At the first start-up of the fan, it may possibly lead to a slight odor development. This is
harmless and not due to a malfunction of the device.
•If necessary, ensure adequate ventilation, e.g. by opening a window.
6.1 Set the ventilation level
•Turn on the fan by selecting an operation level on the step switch (10).
The following levels are available to you:

•Use the speed control knobs (10) to select the desired ventilation level.
6.2 Oscillation function
•If you want the fan to swing back and forth during operation, press down the oscillation knob
(8).
•To exit the oscillation function, pull the oscillation knob (8) back up.
•If you want to correct the airflow diagonally upwards or downwards, switch off the fan and
grasp the motor unit (14) with one hand and the safety guard with the other hand and tilt
the motor unit (14) to the desired position. The respective fixation levels are indicated by
clicking noises.

6.3 Adjustable the height
•Risk of injury! When setting the height, the telescopic tube (15), together with the motor
unit and the safety guard, can slide down causing bruising.
•When adjusting the height, hold the motor unit with one hand if it is not in the lowest
possible position.
•If you want to reset the fan height, proceed as follows:
-Hold the motor unit (14) with one hand while loosening the height adjustment (11)
counterclockwise with the other hand.
-When the fixation is released, raise or lower the telescopic tube (15) to the desired
height.
-Retighten the extended telescopic tube (15) by tightening the height adjustment bracket
(11) clockwise.
7.Cleaning and maintenance
•Danger of short circuit! Liquid that has entered the housing can cause a short circuit.
•Before cleaning, disconnect the power plug from the socket.
•Allow the fan to cool completely.
•Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the housing and some soapy water to remove stubborn dirt.
Do not use gasoline, thinners or other solvents.
•Clean the safety guard from the outside with a soft brush.
•Never immerse the fan in water or other liquids.
•Make sure that no liquid gets into the housing.
•Then rub the fan dry.
8.Transport and storage
8.1 Transport
•Observe the following notes before each transport:
-Turn off the device.
-Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet by grasping the power plug.
-Do not use the power cord as a pull cord.
•Observe the following notes after each transport:
- After each transport, place the fan upright.
8.2 Storage
•Observe the following instructions before each storage.
•When not using the device, observe the following storage conditions:
-dry and protected from frost and heat.
-in an upright position in a place protected from dust and direct sunlight.
-if necessary with a cover protected from dust.
-do not place any other devices or objects on the fan to prevent damage to the fan.

9.Troubleshooting
Error

and stable.
- Assemble the device correctly.
•Your device does not work properly after the checks?
Contact the customer service. Possibly, take the fan to an authorized electrical specialist for
repair.

10. Environmentally friendly disposal
10.1 Disposal and packaging
•The packaging of your unit consists of materials that are necessary to guarantee effective
protection during transport. These materials are fully recyclable and therefore reduce the
environmental impact. Dispose of the packaging in a bin for recyclable materials.
10.2 Disposal of old equipment
•Old appliances must be disposed of in accordance with the guidelines and regulations of the
local waste disposal authority. Check with your local administration for the address of the
nearest recycling centre and deliver your appliance there.
The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin on a Waste electrical or electronic
equipment indicates that it must not be disposed of with household waste at
the end of its life. Collection points for waste electrical and electronic
equipment are available free of charge in your area. You can obtain the
addresses from your city or local government. You can find out about other
return options created by us on our website www.arebos.de.
The separate collection of Waste electrical or electronic equipment is intended
to enable the reuse, recycling or other forms of recovery of Waste electrical or
electronic equipment and to avoid the negative consequences of disposal on
the environment and human health.
