1. FOREWORD
1.1 General
This manual is an integral and essential part of the pedal-assisted bicycle (EPAC)
and must be delivered to the user.
Before commissioning, it is essential that users read, understand and scrupulously
follow the instructions below.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused to people and / or things or to the
pedal-assisted bicycle, if it is used incorrectly with respect to the indicated
prescriptions.
With a view to continuous technological development, the manufacturer reserves
the right to modify the pedal-assisted bicycle (EPAC) without notice, without this
manual being automatically updated.
1.2 Assistance Service
For any inconvenience or request for clarification, contact without hesitation the
Assistance Service of your authorized ARGENTO dealer, who has competent and
specialized staff, specific equipment and original spare parts.
1.3 Graphical form of safety warnings
To identify the safety messages in this manual, the following graphic warning
symbols will be used. They have the function of attracting the attention of the reader
/ user for the correct and safe use of the pedal-assisted bicycle.
Pay attention
Highlights behavioral rules to be followed in order to avoid damage to the
pedal-assisted bicycle and / or the onset of dangerous situations.
Residual risks
It highlights the presence of dangers that cause residual risks to which the
user must pay attention in order to avoid accidents or material damage.

2. SAFETY WARNINGS
2.1 General safety rules
Use of the pedal-assisted bicycle
Each user must have first read this use and maintenance manual; in
particular the chapter on safety instructions.
Risks associated with the use of
the pedal-assisted bicycle
Despite the application of safety devices, for the safe use of the pedal-
assisted bicycle, it is necessary to take note of all the provisions relating to
the prevention of accidents contained in this manual.
Always stay focused while driving and DO NOT underestimate the residual
risks associated with the use of the pedal-assisted bicycle.
Even if you are already practical in using the pedal-assisted bicycle, it is necessary
to follow the instructions given here, in addition to the general precautions to be
observed while driving a motor vehicle.
2.2 Liability
Failure to comply with the operating instructions and safety prescriptions contained
in this manual exempts the manufacturer from any liability.
If the maintenance of the pedal-assisted bicycle is carried out in a way that does not
comply with the instructions provided, with non-original spare parts or in any case in
such a way as to jeopardize its integrity or modify its characteristics, the
manufacturer will be relieved of any responsibility regarding personal safety and
malfunction of the pedal-assisted bicycle.
If you hear unusual noises, or feel something strange, stop the pedal-assisted
bicycle immediately. Carry out a check later and, if necessary, contact the
Assistance Service.
The commitment of the public roadway implies knowledge and compliance with the
rules of the highway code.
For any data not included or not deducible from this manual, it is recommended to
consult directly the Assistance Service of your authorized ARGENTO dealer.
2.3 Warnings for users
- It is forbidden to load a passenger.
- It can only be used by adults and experienced kids.
- Do not take alcohol or drugs before riding the pedal-assisted bicycle.
- This model of pedal-assisted bicycle is designed and built to be used outdoors, on
public roads or cycle paths.
- Do not ask the pedal-assisted bicycle for performances higher than those for
which it was designed.
- Never ride the pedal-assisted bicycle with parts removed.

- Avoid uneven surfaces and obstacles.
- Drive with both hands on the handlebar.
- Replace worn and / or damaged parts, check that the protections are working
properly before use.
2.4 Maintenance warnings
All maintenance operations must take place with the battery disconnected.
During each maintenance phase, operators must be equipped with the necessary
accident prevention equipment.
The tools used for maintenance must be suitable and of good quality.
Do not use gasoline or flammable solvents as detergents, but always use non-
flammable and non-toxic solvents.
Limit the use of compressed air as much as possible (max 2 bar) and protect
yourself with glasses with side shields.
Never resort to the use of open flames as a means of lighting when carrying out
verification or maintenance operations.
After any maintenance or adjustment, make sure that no tools or foreign bodies
remain between the moving parts of the pedal-assisted bicycle.
Original spare parts
Use only original ARGENTO spare parts.
Any liability of the manufacturer for damage or loss of functionality caused
as a result of using non-original accessories and parts is excluded.
2.5 Other provisions
The first thing to do when starting to use is to check the presence and integrity of
the protections and the functioning of the safety devices.
If you find any defect, do not use the pedal-assisted bicycle!
Repairs
It is strictly forbidden, therefore, to modify or remove the guards of the
battery, the chain, etc. warning and identification plates.
2.6 Warehouse deposit
In the event that the pedal-assisted bicycle should be stored and kept for long
periods of inactivity, the following operations must be carried out:
- Repair it in a dry and ventilated place.
- Carry out a general cleaning of the pedal-assisted bicycle.
- Remove the battery from its seat and turn the key to OFF.
- Leave the bicycle on the stand.
- Protect exposed electrical contacts with antioxidant products.
- Grease all surfaces not protected by paints or anti-corrosion treatments.

3.2 Terms of use
The pedal-assisted bicycle was designed and built to be driven outdoors, on public
roads and on cycle paths, but always on asphalted surfaces.
Any modification of the state of construction can compromise the behavior, safety
and stability of the pedal-assisted bicycle and can lead to an accident.
Other types of use, or the extension of use beyond that envisaged, do not
correspond to the destination assigned by the manufacturer, and therefore the
manufacturer cannot accept any responsibility for any resulting damage.
Battery autonomy, and therefore the estimated mileage in km, can vary significantly
depending on the type of use and external influences; see the following particularly
influential factors: user weight, pedaling frequency, assistance level selected on the
display, average speed, tire tread thickness and wear, slope and road surface,
weather conditions.
3.3 Use environment
The pedal-assisted bicycle can be used outdoors, in the absence of adverse
weather conditions (rain, hail, snow, strong wind, etc.).
Maximum allowed temperature: + 40 ° C
Minimum allowed temperature: + 0 ° C
Maximum allowed humidity: 80%
The environment of use must have a flat, compact asphalt surface, free of
roughness, holes or depressions, free of obstacles and oil stains.
In addition, the place of use must be illuminated by the sun or by artificial lights
(recommended from 300 to 500 lux), in order to guarantee the correct view of the
path and the controls of the pedal-assisted bicycle.
Prohibited use environments
The pedal-assisted bicycle must not be used:
in areas subject to fire or explosion risk;
in environments with corrosive and / or chemically active atmosphere;
in poorly lit environments;
on land with a slope of more than 10%;
on uneven, unpaved land.
3.4 Improper uses
The actions described below, which obviously cannot cover the entire range of
potential possibilities of "misuse" of the pedal-assisted bicycle, are to be considered
absolutely prohibited
Forbidden Operations
Performing prohibited operations invalidates the warranty.
The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any damage to things and
people resulting from the execution of prohibited operations.

Strictly forbidden actions
Ride the pedal-assisted bicycle for uses other than those for which it was
built, i.e. a passenger's pleasure craft.
Ride your pedal-assisted bicycle in areas where there is a danger of
explosions.
Ride your pedal-assisted bicycle in adverse weather conditions (pouring rain,
hail, snow, strong wind, etc.).
Transporting a passenger.
Ride your pedal-assisted bicycle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Ride the pedal-assisted bicycle if your weight is greater than the permitted
weight.
Charge the battery in an environment that is too hot or insufficiently
ventilated.
Cover the battery while charging.
Smoking or using open flames near the charging area.
Transit or stop on surfaces with a gradient greater than 10% or uneven
(unpaved, with holes, depressions, obstacles, etc.).
Perform any maintenance with the battery connected.
Use non-original spare parts.
Insert the limbs or fingers between the moving parts of the bicycle.
It is strictly forbidden to raise the seat post beyond the limit marked on the
seat post to not cause fractures to the frame.
4. LIFTING AND TRANSPORT
4.1 Lifting
The weight of the pedal-assisted bicycle is about 25 kg, so lifting by two adults is
recommended.
Crushing and impact
During lifting, it is necessary to operate with extreme caution in order to
avoid damage to people and things.
This must be done by two people.
The manufacturer is not liable for breakages due to the lifting and / or transport of
the pedal-assisted bicycle after delivery.
4.2 Transport
To ensure the safety of transport in vans it is necessary to prevent the pedal-
assisted bicycle from moving. This is achieved by resting it on the stand and binding
it with bands or anchor cables in good condition.
In this regard, the coupling devices must be installed so as not to damage the frame
and other parts of the bicycle.

5. COMMISSIONING
5.1 Charging the battery
Before using the bicycle for the first time, it is necessary to charge the battery for at
least 4-6 hours, until charging is complete, using the battery charger supplied.
The average charging time is around 4-6 hours.
The batteries are of the lithium type 36V.
To extend the life of the battery as much as possible, a full charge every thirty days
is recommended even if the bicycle is not used.
We recommend charging the battery with its special battery charger after
each use of the pedal-assisted bicycle.
Charging with battery inserted:
Insert the charger plug into the appropriate socket on the battery;
Connect the battery charger to the mains socket (230V / 50Hz).
Charging with battery removed:
Insert the key in the lock located on the battery cover.
Turn the key anticlockwise until it is in the UNLOCKED position (symbol OPEN),
remove the battery from the frame and place it on a flat surface, follow the
precautions indicated with regard to charging procedures, insert the battery charger
plug into the socket on the battery and then connect the charger to the mains
socket (230V / 50Hz).
The red light in the battery charger is on during charging, the red light turns
green when charging is complete.
5.2 Rear light
The rear light is already installed under the seat. Remove the transparent label on
the rear light before the first use. Turn the light on / off using the appropriate button
on the light.

Precautions when charging
Always connect the plug to the battery and then the power plug to the mains.
When recharging is complete, always disconnect the plug from the mains
first and then the plug from the battery.
Always recharge the battery completely.
Always use original power supplies.
Do not leave the battery charging for more than 16 hours.
Always recharge in a ventilated area.
Do not recharge the battery in too hot environments.
Do not recharge the battery near flammable liquids.
Do not cover the battery in any way while charging.
If the battery gives off a bad smell, immediately disconnect the plug from the
power supply and ventilate the room, do not touch the battery.
Keep the battery in a cool, dry place when you are not using it.
5.2 Control devices
Check the efficiency and state of charge of the battery. Use in a very cold
environment quickly degrades the efficiency of the battery. Check the chain tension
and lubrication. Check that the pedals are fully tightened in their respective
positions.
5.3 Wheels
Check the tire inflation pressure. Check the state of wear of the tires: there must be
no cuts, cracks, foreign bodies, abnormal swellings, exposed canvases and other
damages.
5.4 Brake system
Check the operation of the brakes with a low speed braking test (max 6km / h) in an
obstacle-free area, first with the rear brake and then with the front brake.
Negative verification
In the event that defects of any kind are found during the preliminary checks
and even one check is negative, DO NOT RIDE THE ASSISTED BIKE.
Immediately activate all measures to carry out an adequate repair, and if
necessary, contact the Assistance Service.

6. ASSEMBLY
6.1 Performance model assembly
1. Carefully remove the bike from the
packaging, then remove all the protective
material, being careful not to scratch the
painted parts and not pull the bike cables.
The removal of the bike from the packaging
must be carried out by two adults, in order to
avoid injuries or crushing.
2. Insert the front wheel in the housings of
the front fork, tighten the wheel with the quick
closing device.
3. Tighten the front light, make sure that the
front light is correctly aligned with the center
of the fork.
4. Remove the front plate located on the
handlebar stem.
Place the handlebar into the accommodation
of the handlebar stem.
Position the previously removed plate in its
original position and tighten the respective 4
bolts; make sure that the handlebar is in a
central position.
5. Insert the seat post into the bike making
sure to orient the saddle and tighten the seat
post correctly with the appropriate device on
the frame as shown in the photo on the right.
For structural and safety reasons, it is strictly
forbidden to extract the seat post beyond the
limit indicated on the seat post to avoid the
risk of fractures to the frame.
6. Identify the right pedal by means of the R
mark placed on the pedal axis, while the L
mark identifies the left pedal. Tighten the left
pedal anticlockwise and the right pedal
clockwise, in their respective positions to
avoid serious injuries while using the bike
and damaging the bike.

Injury hazard
• Check that all the bolts and pedals have been correctly tightened.
• Malposition of the pedals and / or failure to tighten them can damage the front gear
and / or cause the pedals to come out while riding the bike, with the risk of causing
serious injury to yourself and others.
Negative verification
• In the event that, during the assembly, unclear passages or difficulties in the
assembly itself should be encountered, DO NOT RIDE THE ASSISTED BIKE.
• Contact the Assistance Service of your authorized ARGENTO dealer.
6.2 Maximum limit of the seat post
IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN
For structural and safety reasons it is strictly forbidden to remove the seat post
beyond the mark indicated on the seat post to avoid the risk of possible fractures to
the frame.

7. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS AND ROADING
All maintenance operations must be carried out with the battery removed and
the bicycle resting on the stand.
After each routine maintenance operation, a check on the perfect functioning of all
the controls is mandatory.
This manual does not include information regarding disassembly and extraordinary
maintenance, as these operations must always be carried out exclusively by the
service staff of your authorized ARGENTO dealer.
The Assistance Service is able to provide all the information and to answer all
requests to take care of and keep your pedal-assisted bicycle perfectly efficient.
Negative verification
• If even a single check is negative, DO NOT RIDE the pedal-assisted bicycle.
• Immediately take all measures to carry out a suitable repair and if
necessary, contact the service center of your dealer.
7.1 Cleaning
Cleaning the pedal-assisted bicycle is not only a matter of decorum but also allows
you to immediately detect any defect in the same.
In order not to damage or compromise the operation of the various components,
especially the electrical parts, cleaning must be carried out taking certain
precautions. It is absolutely forbidden to direct pressurized water jets towards the
electrical parts, the motor, the display and the battery, for which cleaning with a
sponge is recommended.
Before starting the pedal-assisted bicycle, dry completely with low-pressure
compressed air and check that there is no residual moisture on the electrical
components.
7.2 Chain lubrication
It is important to lubricate the chain regularly, to avoid excessive wear and to extend
its life.
Clean the entire length of the links with a rag.
Spray a specific grease in spray on the transmission chains on all the links.
7.3 Checking the parts
The supporting frame of the pedal-assisted bicycle and the welds must be free of
visible defects such as: cracks, deformations, incisions, corrosions, etc.
Make sure that all the bolts and pedals of the pedal-assisted bicycle are
properly tightened.
Check the condition and fastening of the battery, the sheaths of the electric cables
must be in good condition and the terminals must be tight and not corroded.
Check the battery charge status by means of the indicator on the handlebar display.
For a correct use of the battery of your EPAC vehicle it is suggested to
always charge the battery after each use of the bike.
Using the specific inflation valve on the rims, check the tire inflation pressure using
a compressor and a gun with pressure gauge.
Check the condition of the tread, the rim and the fastening of the rims to the hubs.
In case of tire replacement, contact the After-Sales Service or a qualified tire dealer.

Do not change the tension of the spokes: the adjustment must be carried out by
specialized personnel and with suitable means.
The brakes must be adjusted so as to ensure effective braking and at the same
time the control levers must have an adequate stroke to be able to modulate the
braking: in other words, the brakes must be neither too slow nor too tight.
8. LCD DISPLAY
8.1 Foreword
The pedal-assisted electric bicycle is equipped with an LCD display for complete
management of all the functions provided for your bike.
8.2 Switching On/Off
Press and hold the ON button for at least 1 second to turn the LCD display on / off.
8.3 Assisted pedaling (PAS)
Press the + or - button to increase or decrease the PAS level (pedal assist mode).
Level 9 is the maximum selectable level and provides the maximum possible help
from the motor of the pedal-assisted bicycle, on the contrary level 1 provides the
minimum help from the motor. Level 0 does not provide help from the
engine.
8.4 AVG SPEED – MAX SPEED – TRIP – ODO – TIME
Press the ON button to switch between the AVG SPEED - MAX SPEED - TRIP -
ODO - TIME function
The AVG SPEED function shows the average speed kept during the last use of the
bike, the MAX SPEED function shows the maximum speed kept during the last use
of the bike, the TRIP function consists in showing the partial Km traveled with your
electric bike, the ODO function consists in showing the total Km traveled with your
electric bike, the TIME function shows the accumulated time of use since the last
use of your bike.

8.5 Lighting management
Press and hold the + button for at least 1 second to switch the front and rear lights
on the pedal-assisted bicycle on / off.
Check that the reflectors are present and well tightened in the front and rear wheel.
8.6 Assisted walking
Keep the button pressed for at least 2 seconds - to activate the walking assist
function, the same function is interrupted when the button is released -
The assisted walking function allows the bike to activate the motor without the need
to pedal, this function allows the bike to reach a maximum speed of 6 km/h.
Assisted walking
Never use the walk assist function while riding, as the electric parts of the
bike could be damaged.
Always use the walk assist function while walking alongside your electric
bike, firmly holding the handlebar grips with both hands.
8.7 Battery indicator
The battery indicator is complete upon completion of charging the battery of your
pedal assisted bicycle. The battery indicator drops in level as the pedal-assisted
bicycle is used. The battery indicator can fluctuate in the charge level depending on
the use of the pedal-assisted bicycle, for example if you go uphill the level of the
battery indicator can drop rapidly as it has a much higher battery consumption
supplied on your pedal-assisted bicycle.
For a good use and maintenance of the battery it is recommended to fully charge
the battery after each use of your electric bike.
9. LCD CONFIGURATION
Press the M button for at least 2 seconds to enter the LCD display configuration.
Within the display configuration, press the + and - buttons to change the value of
the single parameter, press the M button to move to the next parameter, press the
M button for at least 2 seconds to exit the LCD display configuration.
9.1 Km / Miles
Indicated by the S7 symbol, press the + and - buttons to switch from a Km / h to
MPH display.
9.2 Display backlight
Indicated by the symbol b1, allowed values: 1-5.

9.3 Automatic display switch-off
Indicated by the symbol 0F, allowed values: 0-15.
The values set correspond to the minutes.
If the set value is 0, this function is not activated.
If the imported value is a value between 1 and 15, the display will automatically turn
off after a few minutes.
9.4 Wheel diameter
Indicated by the HD symbol, allowed values: 6-34.
The values set correspond to the inches of the wheel diameter. For your model,
leave the value at 28 otherwise the values shown on the display when using your
bike will not be correct.
9.5 Password - Speed limit
Indicated by the symbol Pd.
Then enter the password "1919" using the + and - buttons, confirm each single
value in the password entered with the M button.
After entering the password correctly, you enter the speed limit parameter indicated
by the SL symbol, allowed values: 10-100.
9.6 Motor parameter
Indicated by the HL symbol, make sure that the value set is number 1.
If a different value is set, anomalies in the speed detected on the display could
occur.
Maximum speed allowed
The maximum speed allowed by law is 25km / h.
Any interventions not authorized by the manufacturer to the control unit
exclude the manufacturer of any damage caused to people and / or things,
also the warranty on the purchased product is invalidated.
The control unit has been programmed not to allow changes to the maximum
speed parameter.
Maintain a speed and behavior appropriate to your abilities, never use the
bike above 25Km / h as it could cause serious damage and injury to yourself
or other people.
9.7 Number of assistance levels (PAS)
Indicated by the PA symbol, press the + and - buttons to switch between the
selectable values UBE - 3 - 5 - 9.
Do not select the UBE value (manufacturer's test value) in order not to find
anomalies on your display and compromise the normal operation of your electric
bike.

10. ERROR CODES
If a malfunction occurs on your electric bicycle, this icon will be shown on the
display, together with the respective error code.
Please consult the following error code table and report everything to the after-sales
service.
