1.2.3 LED indication keys
The keys with LED indications are arranged in eight pieces in a row. For any key in the
communication system software, various communication functions or local control functions
of DIS can be set (for example, adjusting the volume of the built-in speakers, switching the
hands-free mode to communicate with the headset).
Each key has a backlight with two LEDs installed under it. The LED indication modes for
each key, including the direct call keys, are set from the control panel.
The most popular are the following indication options:
When the key is pressed, the backlight turns on while the key is held;
The first press of the key turns the backlight on, the second time it turns it off;
Frequent flashing of all LEDs - no connection to the control panel;
Rare flashing - an incoming call from the subscriber assigned to the key;
In case of outgoing call the LED indication has solid light.
The group of LEDs for the key is switched in series, protection against breakage or
breakdown of one of the LEDs is provided.
DIS keys additionally have increased mechanical strength, wear-resistance, and
durability. Under the transparent cap of each key, you can place the necessary inscription. To
do this, with DIS disconnected, hold the keycap over the top and bottom flat faces, pull it
slightly toward yourself until the side catches of the cap come out of the housing cover. After
that, the top cover of the cap can be separated from its base and the plate with the inscription
can be inserted inside. Then collect the cap back and latch it and put it back on its place in the
cover of the unit enclosure.
1.2.4 DIS expansion unit
DIS expansion unit is designated to increase the number of programmable functional
keys of the unit. A detailed description of the expansion unit is given in the User Manual
ARMT.665230.207. DIS expansion unit is connected with DIS unit with a flexible loop. To
increase the strength of the structure, the expansion unit is mechanically connected with the
panel by the metal plate (bracket) supplied. The maximum number of buttons of one DIS
expansion unit is 48 pcs.
Up to four expansion units can be supplied on request, while the total number of
buttons, together with those located on the DIS remote control, can be increased to 224 pcs.
IDC16 connector is located on the left and right walls of the expansion unit housing to
connect the flexible loop to DIS or another DIS expansion unit. The dimensions of the
expansion unit are given in the operating documentation for the DIS unit.

1.2.5 Build-in microphone with indicator
DIS uses a highly sensitive condenser electret microphone on a flexible gooseneck
frame. The microphone has a red LED that indicates the type of incoming or outgoing
communication by a solid light or flashing. With an outgoing voice connection, the
microphone indicator constantly glows red, with incoming - flashes red. The microphone has
a wide range of perceived frequencies and a one-way directionality that minimizes the effect
of third-party interference.
1.2.6 Headset or external microphone with a push-to-talk button
A handset of any model or any manufacturer (not included in the scope of supply) with
the following parameters can be used:
Microphone type –electret;
Microphone sensitivity –at least 30 dB;
Speakers impedance –in the range from 32 to 300 Ohm;
Earphone frequency range –at least 100-16000 Hz.
Instead of a headset, an external microphone with a push-to-talk button can be used.
Selection of the headset type is made using the DIP switch SW5 on the main board of the
DIS.
The pin assignment of the connector for connecting the specified additional equipment
must comply with the information given in Table A.2 (Appendix A).

ENG
1.2.7 Output for connecting an external amplifier
Analog linear output Lout1\Lout2 of DIS on the connector X10 can be used for
connection of the external amplifier. Depending on the configuration parameters of the unit
in the communication system this output can operate in the following modes:
OFF;
Constantly ON and all incoming connections are broadcast simultaneously with
the built-in speaker;
External amplifier is used for the voice call.
In the latter case, the incoming message is broadcast simultaneously by the built-in
loudspeaker and external amplifier, but only before pressing the key at the unit to answer
the call. After the answer, the external amplifier is turned off, and the calls are only broadcast
to the built-in loudspeaker. It is turned on again after a predetermined interval after the end
of the communication session (usually 15 seconds).
The output signal level, operating mode, and the output delay value for the auxiliary
amplifier are specified in the unit configuration data using the communication system
administration software.
1.2.8 Power supply of the DIS
To supply power to the DIS, one can use the allotted contacts on the X10 socket,
including the built-in phantom power circuit on the interface line Uk0 (PoU). Built-in power
circuits of DIS are equipped with rectifying bridges, which ensure the availability of using an
arbitrary polarity of the supply voltage.
The "phantom" power supply of the DIS is provided when the device is connected
to the DCN-16U sub-switchboard of the DCN system or IPN-8U switch module of
the IPN system. To do this, it is necessary to switch on the phantom power supply to the Uk0
interface line by the instruction manuals for the relevant products.
