BEFORE USING YOUR COOKTOP FOR THE FIRST TIME
Dust and particles may have stuck to on the
cooktop during transport. As a precaution, you
should clean the surface of the cooktop before
using it for the first time:
1. Clean the surface with ceramic cooktop cleaner
or warm water and mild washing up liquid.
2. Wipe the cooktop clean with a clean, damp
cloth.
3. Dry the cooktop with kitchen paper to achieve a
shiny finish.
NB:
The cooktop must be completely dry before using
any of the heating zones.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Do not store heavy or sharp-edged objects
above the cooktop as they may fall and cause
damage to your appliance.
• Never stand on the cooktop!
• Immediately remove any food spills or fat from
the ceremic surface using a cloth or a straight-
edged scraper. Any remains will cause smoke
development and can cause a fire.
• Also clean the bases of any pans.
• Remember to lift pans – if you drag a pan with a
rough base it may scratch the glass.
NB:
If bits of plastic or aluminium foil burn and stick to
the cooktop or if a sugar solution boils over this
can damage the surface, creating larger chips and
small cracks if not removed immediately.
REMEMBER!
Before using your new cooktop for the first time,
all four heating zones must be set on position 5
for 15 minutes to burn off any deposits.

9
USING THE COOKTOP
Activating power boost
(AutoMax)
This function enables the cooktop to run at
full power for a set time and then return to the
selected heat setting. In this way, you can quickly
bring something to the boil without needing to
remember to turn down the heat to stop it boiling
too rapidly.
Activate this function as follows:
1.Activate the desired heating zone.
2.Activate the heat for the zone by
pressing either the + or the – symbol until
setting 9 is shown for the zone.
3.Press the + button once more and the
dot next to the 9 lights.
4.Press the - button until you reach the
desired heat setting.
5.While activated, the desired heat setting
(e.g. 5) and a "A" will alternate at 1 second
intervals in the display window for the heating
zone.
6.Once the time has expired, the zone will
return to the chosen heat setting.
The table below shows the time the power
boost is activated for each heat setting.
Example: If you have set AutoMax for heat setting
5, the maximum heat setting is activated for 6
minutes and 30 seconds, after which heat setting
5 is used.

10
Pan size
The diameter of the base of the pan should be
equal to or slightly larger than the heating zone.
A base diameter that is too small results in the
following:
• Longer time to boil and greater energy
consumption.
• Any liquid that boils over easily burns and sticks,
making it more difficult to remove.
Pan base
• A glass, rough or uneven base can scratch the
ceramic cooktop.
• Painted pans can flake, burn and get stuck,
resulting in discolouration.
• Aluminium pots and pans offer good heat
transfer, but can cause discolouration.
Flat-bottomed pans
• The base of the pan should be flat and thick for
the best heat transfer. Some pans with layered
bases can appear slightly concave, but flatten
when heated.
• Bases that curve in or out transfer heat less well
and result in longer heating times and high
energy consumption.
Cooking time and energy
consumption
Most important is that the base of the pan is
flat and even. The material is less important to
cooking time and energy consumption.
Also remember to use lids, to avoid rapid
boiling, and to use the residual heat of the
heating zones.
A patterned or rough base increases energy
consumption and boiling time.
ADVICE AND TIPS

11
CARE AND CLEANING
General
Heat transfer is adversely affected if the cooktop
is dirty, so make a habit of always cleaning the
cooktop with a damp cloth after use.
• Always keep the cooktop clean. Immediately
remove any food spills or fat from the
ceramic surface using a cloth or a straight-
edged scraper. Any remains will cause smoke
development and can cause a fire.•
• Make sure the cooktop has cooled before
cleaning. The residual heat indicator lamp
should be switched off.
• Remember to clean the cooktop at least once a
week even if it appears clean.
• Do not use a steam or high pressure cleaner on
this appliance
NB:
Use only cleaners intended for ceramic cooktops.
Never use abrasive cleaners, oven cleaners, steel
wool or abrasive sponges.
Clean a dirty cooktop as follows:
1.Remove spills and other larger stains with a
straight-edged scraper.
2.Once the residual heat indicator has switched
off, the ceramic cooktop cleaner can be applied.
Shake the bottle and spray a few thin lines over
the cooktop. Rub clean with a damp cloth.
3.Wipe with a clean, damp cloth, as any cleaner
that is left can burn and stick to the cooktop,
leaving stains that are difficult to remove. Dry
the cooktop with kitchen paper to achieve a
shiny finish.
NB:
If the surface is cracked, turn off the appliance
immediately to avoid any potential electric
shock.

12
TROUBLESHOOTING
Please read through following advise on what
you can do if you have a problem with your
cooktop. If you need further help, contact your
nearest service center. Never do anything with
the cooktop that might cause personal injury or
material damage.
If the glass surface cracks or you encounter
any other major damage, turn off the cooktop
immediately by shutting down the power ie
switch off the power point or remove the fuse
from the fuse box.
The cooktop does not start
1.Check that the fuse has not blown.
2.Check that the cooktop is properly plugged in.
3.Check the lock function. If it is activated, unlock.
4.Have you pressed the on/off button long
enough?
5.Make sure nothing is covering the control panel.
6.Check if the temperature of the control panel
exceed 60.
The cooktop's heating zones do not
work/cannot be changed
1.Push the on/off button again. The cooktop will
automatically switch off 10 seconds after you
push the on’off button unless it is in use.
2.Make sure the right zone is active.
3.Check the lock function. If it is activated, unlock.
There is a noise when the heating
zones heat up
This is completely normal and will cease once the
heating zone has warmed up.
The cooktop is patchy
This can be due to:
1.Pan with a base in an unsuitable material.
2.cooktop cleaned incorrectly.
See "ADVICE AND TIPS" for more information.
It takes a long time to boil or fry food
1.Pan with unsuitable base, e.g., patterned or
rough.
2.Pan base curves in or out (poor surface contact).
3.Glass and porcelain pans take longer to heat
than metal pans.
4.The heating zone is dirty.

the packaging (do not cut too deeply), remove
the packaging.
Check that the product is free from transport
damage. Any damage shall be reported
immediately to the carrier or seller.
Damage, faults and missing parts must be
reported immediately to the seller.
Recycling
All packaging can be recycled. Please recycle
it. Contact your local authority if you do not
know where to take it. Larger plastic product
components are marked with recycling
information.
General
If an oven or other appliance that generates
a great deal of heat is installed under a glass
ceramic cooktop with touch control, the other
appliance and the ceramic cooktop must be
suitably ventilated and isolated. The isolation is to
ensure that any heat from the oven passing the
right side of the cooktop's bottom plate, under
the control electronics, does not exceed 60°C
when the oven is used. If this precaution is not
taken, the cooktop may malfunction (the safety
switch will trigger).
NB:
The cooktop must be completely disconnected
from its power source during all installation work.

14
INSTALLATION
Important to remember during
installation:
• Ventilation as in Fig. 1 is essential.
• If the lower part of the cooktop can be reached
from the cupboard/drawer, a shielding panel
must be fitted as shown in Fig. 1. This is not
necessary if an oven is installed under the
cooktop.
• There must be at least 20 mm between the
bottom of the cooktop and any cupboard
fittings or worktop, with the exception of the
connection block (Fig. 1).
• There must be at least 50 mm between the hole
for the cooktop and the side wall.
• There must be at least 53 mm between the hole
for the cooktop and the back wall.
• Check that the cooktop's power cable is not
pinched during installation.
Installing the cooktop
The cooktop complies with the IEC 335-2-6
standard. Only such units may be installed next to
a full height cupboard or wall.

BELANGRIJKE INFORMATIE
• Bewaar geen voorwerpen boven de kookplaat
die zwaar zijn of scherpe randen hebben. Deze
voorwerpen kunnen vallen en de kookplaat
beschadigen.
• Ga nooit op de kookplaat staan!
• Verwijder gemorste etensresten en dergelijke
direct van de keramische kookplaat met een
rechte schraper.
• Reinig de onderkant van pannen ook.
• Houd de kookplaat schoon. Vetresten of
N.B.!
barsten.
LET OP!
Voordat u uw nieuwe keramische kookplaat
gezet. Dit om eventuele afzetting te verwijderen.

18
Algemeen
Deze gebruiksaanwijzing bevat belangrijke
informatie over de installatie en het onderhoud
die zorgvuldig doorgelezen moet worden.
1.Deze kookplaat is uitsluitend bedoeld voor
huishoudelijk gebruik. Ander gebruik kan
resulteren in persoonlijk letsel of materiële
schade.
keramische kookplaat.
5.Laat nooit frituurvet, smeltend vet, paraffine of
andere zeer brandbare producten onbeheerd
achter.
Neem
vervolgens contact op met de serviceafdeling.
Tijdens de installatie
Alle installatiewerkzaamheden en andere
werkzaamheden aan het product moeten door
