●Before using the DPH-2, read this instruction manual and fully understand the function and operation of each part.
●Perform the necessary operations according to this instruction manual.
●When carrying the unit, be careful not to subject the instrument to any strong shock or impact. Do not drop the
instrument.
●ATAGO shall not be held responsible for any or all damages that may result from using the instrument for those
other than its intended purpose (measurement of pH level of a liquid sample).
●If use of this unit has undesired effects on the consumption of the measured materials, etc., ATAGO shall not be
liable for the result.
●All instruments received for repair are subject to a possible inspection fee. ATAGO does not warrant the problems
which are caused by user error even though the unit is under warranty.

①Lift the locking clip on the front side of the
battery compartment lid towards you until it
is free. Next, lift the clip on the back side
in the same way to remove the lid
completely (Fig. 1).
②As shown in Fig. 2, four watch batteries are
included with the unit at the time of purchase.
③When replacing new batteries, insert them in
the same manner as shown in Fig. 2.
④Replace the battery compartment lid, making
sure the locking clips are secured.

The DPH-2 is warranted for one year after the date of purchase against any manufacturer defect in materials or workmanship.
Any of the following events happening to the unit will void the warranty:
●Disassembled by anyone other than authorized service provider ●Immersed in liquid or dropped
●Misused, abused, or used/stored in improper ambient conditions ●Damages to the electrode

Electrode Care and Maintenance
1. Soak the electrode in
tap water for at least
15 minutes.
2. Blot the electrode
lightly to remove
excess water.
3. Calibrate with a pH 7.0 buffer
solution as well as either pH 4.0
or pH 10.0, whichever closer to
the pH level of the liquid to be
measured.

5. Soak the electrode
in tap water for
at least 15 minutes
after measuring.

6. Blot the electrode lightly to remove excess water.
Store with the protective cap on and in the original box.
