The ATTO FastStream SC 8500E is an embedda-
ble RAID controller that delivers high performance
access to data and data protection for applications
in DVA and IT infrastructures including: 4K and 2K
digital film production, high-definition video post,
digital prepress, disk-to-disk backup, imaging,
email compliance, data warehousing, data mining
and transaction based environments.
ATTO FastStream Storage Controllers provide
best of class performance and instant RAID parity
protection to any SAS or SATA storage device;
FastStream allows you to mix SAS and SATA
storage to integrate into a tiered storage solution
and access non-block storage (Tape and Optical
drives) alongside your disk storage.
ATTO designed the FastStream to take advantage
of the latest in storage connectivity and processor
technology, these two benefits provide a path for
OEMs to provide products with the fastest time to
market. By embedding the FastStream SC 8500E
into a storage product and private labeling the
browser interface, OEM customers can be sure to
lower OEM development costs while creating a
portfolio which compliments existing product lines.
Designed as an embeddable microATX RAID
Controller which integrates with SAS and/or SATA
storage to provide instant RAID protection and
advanced intelligence, FastStream RAID Control-
lers can be seamlessly integrated into standard
ATX or custom storage enclosures to provide a
high performance storage solution.
The FastStream 8500E adds advanced intelli-
gence features such as Phone Home email alerts,
real-time performance metrics, N-way mirroring,
global hot spares and more. Users can add stor-
age as needed, when needed with the capacity
expansion feature. Specific OEM-only features are
available to provide a more synergistic look and
feel to your product.
