◎For details on earthquake early warnings and tsunami warnings provided
by the Japan Meteorological Agency, refer to the agency’s homepage.
Earthquake early warning
◎
Earthquake early warning notifies areas where a strong shaking (Japan
seismic scale 4 or more) is expected when an earthquake whose maximum
Japan seismic scale is predicted of 5-lower or more has been detected.
◎This service detects an earthquake (P-wave, preliminary tremors) near the
seismic center immediately after the earthquake occurs and automatically
calculates its location, scale and predicted strength of the shaking. After
that, you will be notified of the earthquake as soon as possible within a few
seconds to dozens of seconds before a strong shaking from the
earthquake (S-wave, principal shock) occurs.
◎In the vicinity of the seismic center, a strong shaking may reach you before
an earthquake early warning.
◎The earthquake early warning distribution system provided by this service
is different from that provided by TV, radio and other communication media
and thus the arriving time of earthquake early warnings may be different
among those media.
Tsunami warning
◎Tsunami warning notifies areas including target sea coasts of tsunami
warnings (major tsunami and tsunami) provided by the Japan
Meteorological Agency.
Disaster/Evacuation information
◎Disaster/Evacuation information notifies information related to the safety of
citizens, such as evacuation advisories, evacuation orders or various
alarms delivered by the national government or the local governments.
memo
◎
Sending and receiving voice messages are available only when you are using
3G network. Disable wireless LAN (Wi-Fi
®
) communication etc. before use.
◎Voice messages can be recorded for up to 30 seconds.
◎Voice messages can be exchanged only among au cell phones
(interoperation with other carriers’ cell phones will be available from the
spring of 2013).
◎Voices may not be heard when the media sound volume is set to low or the
manner mode is set.
◎When a microSD memory card is not inserted or no free space is left on the
microSD memory card, voice messages may not be saved or played.
◎Some cell phones cannot receive voice messages. For details, refer to the
au homepage.

if you deform the battery cover, forcefully press the inside of the battery cover
on which the sheet is pasted or remove the sheet, FeliCa communications
may be hindered.
●Do not cover the light sensor with your finger or put a sticker on it. Doing so
may hinder the light sensor from detecting the ambient brightness and
functioning correctly.
●If the display gets damaged, immediately stop use and contact an au shop or
Secure cell phone support center. Keeping using it may cause injury.
●Putting a sticker, etc. on the display or a key may cause malfunction or
shortened usage time. Also, doing so may damage the product.
●When answering a call while the TV antenna is pulled out or it is kept standing
(e.g. while you are watching TV (1Seg)), take lots of care especially to the tip
of the TV antenna so that it will not do any harm on surrounding people nor
touch your own eye.
●If you put magnetized objects, metal straps, etc. close to the product, the
speaker section sometimes emits sounds. This is not a fault.
●Note that if you forcefully pull external connection jack cover or apply
excessive force on it, it may be damaged.
●When you put the product in your pocket or bag, do not forget to replace the
TV antenna to its original position. Also, do not forcefully pull out or bend the
TV antenna intentionally. Doing so may cause injury or damage.
●Bright places such as under the direct sunlight sometimes make it hard to see
the display. This is not a fault.
