1. Allgemeine Information
1.1 Einführung
Vielen Dank für den Kauf von »xepton-NX«! Sie haben sich dabei für ein modernes
und zuverlässiges Kommunikationssystem entschieden. Bitte lesen Sie diese Bedie-
nungsanleitung aufmerksam durch, um die Geräte richtig in Betrieb nehmen zu kön-
nen und um mit allen Möglichkeiten vertraut zu werden.
»xepton-NX« ist ideal für Gruppenanwendungen geeignet - vom einfachen Dialog
bis hin zu Dolmetscher-, Team-Teaching- und Konferenzsystemen.
Leicht und schlank im Design vereint es Qualität und Vielseitigkeit mit Bedienungs-
freundlichkeit und dem neuesten Stand der Funktechnologie.

3. Bedienung
3.1 Ein- und Ausschalten
Betätigen Sie den Ein/Aus-Schalter, um das Gerät einzuschalten. Die LCD-Anzeige
leuchtet auf und zeigt die aktuellen Einstellungen an. Nach 3 Sekunden ist das
Gerät betriebsbereit. Nach 8 Sekunden erlischt die Anzeige. Diese leuchtet bei
einer Eingabe wieder auf und erlischt nach 8 Sekunden wieder.
Betätigen Sie nach Gebrauch den Ein/Aus-Schalter, um das Gerät auszuschalten.
3.2 Kanalgruppe auswählen
Schalten Sie das Gerät ein und halten Sie die MODE-Taste ca. 3 Sekunden lang ge-
drückt.
Das »GRP«-Symbol innerhalb der LCD-Anzeige beginnt zu blinken. Wählen Sie eine
Kanalgruppennummer von 0-7 unter Verwendung der »« und »«-Tasten aus. War-
ten Sie nach der Auswahl 3 Sekunden um die Auswahl zu übernehmen.
Miteinander zu verbindende Sender und Empfänger müssen die jeweils gleiche Ka-
nalnummer eingestellt haben.
Bitte beachten Sie: Bei allen Menuanzeigen sind das Batteriesymbol, »MASTER« und
»TALK« zu sehen. Diese Symbole können ignoriert werden.
3.3 Lautstärke einstellen
Die Lautstärke kann über 6 Stufen (Stumm bis maximal) eingestellt werden. Drücken
Sie bei eingeschaltetem Gerät die »« und »« -Tasten um die Lautstärke nach
Belieben einzustellen.

3.4 Monitorfunktion Ein / Aus
Die Monitorfunktion ermöglicht es dem Anwender, seine eigene Stimme über das Sys-
tem zu hören. Gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor, um die Monitorfunktion zu aktivieren:
Halten Sie bei eingeschaltetem Gerät die MODE-Taste über 3 Sekunden lang ge-
drückt. Das »GRP«-Symbol der Anzeige beginnt zu blinken. Drücken Sie nun 1 mal
die MODE-Taste. »SO« oder »SF« wird angezeigt. Wählen Sie nun mit den »« und
»«-Tasten die Einstellung »SO« um die Monitorfunktion einzuschalten oder »SF«
um die Monitorfunktion zu deaktivieren. Warten Sie nach Auswahl der Funktionsart 3
Sekunden, um die Auswahl zu übernehmen.
Anmerkung: In der Grundeinstellung ist die Monitorfunktion deaktiviert (»SF«).
3.5 Mikrofonpegel einstellen
Die Empfindlichkeit des Mikrofons kann auf 5 Stufen den Umgebungsbedingungen
angepasst werden:
Halten Sie hierzu bei eingeschaltetem Gerät die MODE-Taste über 3 Sekunden lang
gedrückt. Das »GRP«-Symbol der Anzeige beginnt zu blinken. Drücken Sie nun 2 mal
die MODE-Taste. Das Symbol »C1« blinkt nun innerhalb der Anzeige. Wählen Sie nun
mit den »« und »«-Tasten eine Einstellung von »C1« (niedrige Empfindlichkeit) bis
»C5« (hohe Empfindlichkeit) aus.
Anmerkung: Die Grundeinstellung ist »C3«.

3.6 Grundpegel Hoch / Niedrig
Unabhängig von der Lautstärke-Einstellung kann der Grundpegel der Lautstärke er-
höht werden. Dies führt zu einer allgemein lauteren Audio-Wiedergabe innerhalb der
Lautstärke-Stufen - dies kann zum Beispiel bei lautstarker Umgebung notwendig sein.
Halten Sie hierzu bei eingeschaltetem Gerät die MODE-Taste über 3 Sekunden lang
gedrückt. Das »GRP«-Symbol der Anzeige beginnt zu blinken. Drücken Sie nun 3 mal
die MODE-Taste. Wählen Sie nun mit den Tasten »« und »« die Einstellung »UH«
für den erhöhten Grundpegel und »UL« für den normalen Grundpegel aus. Warten
Sie nach Auswahl des Grundpegels 3 Sekunden, um die Auswahl zu übernehmen.
Anmerkung: Die Einstellung »UH« kann zu Nebengeräuschen führen und sollte nur in
lautstarker Umgebung verwendet werden. Daher empfehlen wir die Grundeinstellung
»UL«.
3.7 Sendeleistung
Die Einstellung der Sendeleistung wirkt sich auf die Funkreichweite aus.
Halten Sie hierzu bei eingeschaltetem Gerät die MODE-Taste über 3 Sekunden
lang gedrückt. Das »GRP«-Symbol der Anzeige beginnt zu blinken. Drücken
Sie nun 4 mal die MODE-Taste. Wählen Sie nun mit den Tasten »« und »«
die Einstellung »P1« für die geringste Sendeleistung und »P7« für die höchste
Sendeleistung aus.
Warten Sie nach Auswahl der Sendeleistung 3 Sekunden, um die Auswahl zu
übernehmen.
Nehmen Sie Kontakt mit dem Hersteller oder Händler auf, falls mehr als 6 Ge-
räte sendebefugt sein sollen.

3.8 Eingangspegel-Schalter
Dieser Schalter beeinflusst den Eingangspegel der 2 Audio-Eingangsanschlüsse auf
der Rückseite des Gerätes. Je nach Stärke des Eingangssignals kann das Signal bei
Bedarf um 10dB verstärkt oder gedämpft werden. Bei Mittelstellung »N« (Neutral)
des Schalters erfolgt keine Änderung des Pegels.
3.9 Stromversorgung
Der Sender wird über den USB-Anschluss mit Strom versorgt. Es besteht die Mög-
lichkeit den Sender mit einer Power-Bank zu speisen und ihn dadurch mobil
zu verwenden. Dazu wird die Power-Bank mit dem USB-Anschluss verbunden.
Der Stormbedarf des Gerätes liegt bei ca 200mA.
4.1 Belegung der Anschlussbuchsen
4.2 Verschlüsselung
Sollte die Anwendung von Xepton-NX Diskretion erfordern, wie zum Beispiel in Ge-
richtsgebäuden oder bei privaten Sitzungen, so kann die Kommunikation zwischen
Sendern und Empfängern verschlüsselt werden. Fremde Xepton-NX-Geräte können
dann nicht mehr an der Kommunikation teilnehmen.
Hierzu müssen Grundeinstellungen an den beteiligten Geräten geändert werden - bit-
te kontaktieren Sie diesbezüglich Ihren autorisierten AUDIOropa-Händler.

7. Wartung und Pege
Alle »xepton-NX«-Geräte sind wartungsfrei.
Bei Verschmutzung sollten Sie die Geräte gelegentlich mit einem weichen, ange-
feuchteten Tuch reinigen. Verwenden Sie niemals Alkohol, Verdünner oder andere
organische Lösungsmittel. Setzen Sie die Geräte bitte nicht über längere Zeit direkter
Sonneneinstrahlung aus und schützen diese darüber hinaus vor großer Hitze, Feuch-

tigkeit oder starker mechanischer Erschütterung.
Achtung: Die Geräte sind nicht gegen Spritzwasser geschützt. Stellen Sie keine mit
Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gegenstände, z.B. Vasen, neben die Geräte. Ebenfalls dürfen
keine offenen Brandquellen, wie z.B. brennende Kerzen, in die unmittelbare Nähe der
Geräte gestellt werden.
8. Garantie
Alle »xepton-NX«-Geräte weisen eine hohe Betriebssicherheit auf. Sollten trotz sach-
gerechter Bedienung Störungen auftreten, setzen Sie sich bitte mit Ihrem Fachhänd-
ler in Verbindung oder wenden Sie sich direkt an den Hersteller.
Die Garantieleistung umfasst die kostenlose Reparatur sowie den kostenlosen Rück-
versand. Das Einsenden sollte möglichst in der Originalverpackung erfolgen, werfen
Sie diese daher während der Garantiezeit nicht weg.
Die Garantie verfällt bei Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Behandlung oder Re-
paraturversuchen von nicht autorisierten Personen (Zerstörung des Gerätesiegels)
herbeigeführt wurden.
Garantiereparaturen werden nur bei Einsendung der ausgefüllten Garantiekarte und
einer Kopie der Rechnung/Kassenbeleg des Fachhändlers durchgeführt.
Die Gerätenummer muss in jedem Fall mit angegeben werden.
Entsorgung von gebrauchten elektrischen und elektronischen
Geräten (anzuwenden in den Ländern der Europäischen Union und
anderen europäischen Ländern mit einem separaten Sammelsystem
für diese Geräte). Das Symbol auf dem Produkt oder seiner Verpackung
weist darauf hin, dass dieses Produkt nicht als normaler Haushaltsabfall zu behan-
deln ist, sondern an einer Annahmestelle für das Recycling von elektrischen und elek-

1. General information
1.1 Introduction
Thank you very much for purchasing »xepton-NX«! You have chosen a modern and
reliable communication system. Please read this manual carefully to be able to set up
the unit correctly and to familiarise yourself with all of the systems features.
»xepton-NX« is an ideal system for application within groups – ranging from simple
dialogue to interpreter-, team-teaching- and conference systems.
Being slim and light-weight in design, it combines quality and versatility with easy use
and state-of-the-art radio technology.

3. How to use
3.1 Power ON / OFF
Use the ON/OFF switch to switch the device on. The LC-display will light up and the
current setup as well as the battery status are shown. The device is ready for use
after 3 seconds. After 8 seconds the display goes out. It lights up again when an
entry is made and goes out again after 8 seconds.
Use the ON/OFF switch again to switch the device off.
3.2 Channel group selection
Switch the device on and press the MODE-button for 3 seconds.
The symbol »GRP« in the display will blink. Select a channel of 0-7 by pressing the
»« and »« buttons. After the selection, wait for 3 seconds to set the selected
channel number.
Transmitters and receivers must be set to the same channel number if they are to
communicate with each other.
Please note: The symbols for a battery, as well as »MASTER« and »TALK« are always
visible in the display. These can be ignored.
3.3 Volume up / down
The volume can be adjusted through 6 levels from muted to maximum. On the powe-
red-up device, press the »« and »« buttons to adjust the volume as desired.

3.4 Monitoring function On / Off
The monitoring function enables you to hear your own voice over the system. Proceed
as follows if you wish to activate the monitoring function:
On the powered-up device, press and hold the MODE-button for 3 seconds. The sym-
bol »GRP« in the display will blink.
Press the MODE button once. The letters »SO« or »SF« blink. By using the »« and
»« buttons, select »SO« to activate the monitoring function or »SF« to deactivate it.
After the selection, wait for 3 seconds to set the selected function.
Please note:
The default setting is »SF« (monitoring deactivated).
3.5 Microphone sensitivity
The microphone sensitivity can be adjusted through 5 levels according to environ-
mental requirements:
On the powered-up device, press and hold the MODE-button for 3 seconds. The
symbol »GRP« in the display will blink.
Press the MODE button two times. The »C1« symbol in the display blinks. By using
the »« and »«buttons, select between C1 (low sensitivity) and C5 (high sensitivity).
Please note: The default setting is »C3«.

3.6 Audio output high / low
Apart from the volume control, it is possible to adjust the basic audio output level. A
higher audio output will raise the maximum volume – this might be required in noisy
surroundings.
On the powered-up device, press and hold the MODE-button for 3 seconds. The sym-
bol »GRP« in the display will blink.
Press the MODE button three times. The »UH« symbol is shown in the display. By using
the »« and »« buttons, select UH (high output) or UL (normal output). After the se-
lection, wait for 3 seconds to set the selected output level.
Please note:
Selecting »UH« can cause white noise and should only be used in loud environments.
We recommend the default setting »UL«.
3.7 Transmission power
The setting of the transmitting power affects the radio signal range.
On the powered-up device, press and hold the MODE-button for 3 seconds. The sym-
bol »GRP« in the display will blink.
Press the MODE button four times. By using the »« and »« buttons, select »P1« for
the lowest transmission power and »P7« for the highest. After the selection, wait for 3
seconds to set the selected transmission power level.
Please contact your authorized AUDIOropa dealer if more than 6 units within signal
range are to be authorised to transmit.

3.8 Input level switch
This switch controls the input level of the 2 audio input connectors on the
rear panel. Depending on the strength of the input signal, the signal can be
amplified or attenuated by 10dB if necessary. When the switch is in the center
position »N« (neutral), no change in level is applied.
3.9 Power supply
The transmitter is powered over the USB connection. The device can be powered by
a regular USB powerpack for mobile phones and can hereby be used in a portable
manner. Connect the powerpack to the USB connector on the rear of the device. The
power consumption of the device is approx. 200mA.
4.1 Assignment of the connection sockets
4.2 Encryption
If the use of Xepton-NX requires discretion, such as in court buildings or during private
sessions, the communication between transmitter and receiver can be encrypted.
Other Xepton-NX devices can then no longer participate in the communication.
For this purpose, basic settings on the involved devices must be changed - please
contact your authorized AUDIOropa dealer.

7. Maintenance and care
All »xepton-NX«-devices do not require any maintenance. If they become dirty, simply
wipe them clean with a soft, damp cloth.
Never use spirits, thinners or other organic solvents. Do not expose them to full sun-
light. In addition, they must be protected against excessive heat, moisture and severe
mechanical shocks.

Note: These products are not protected against splash water. Do not place any con-
tainers filled with water, such as flower vases, or anything with an open flame, such as
a lit candle, above or near the products.
8. Warranty
All »xepton-NX«-devices are very reliable products. Should a malfunction occur de-
spite the unit having been set up and operated correctly, please contact your dealer
or the manufacturer directly.
This warranty covers the repair of the product and returning it to you free of charge.
It is recommended that you send in the product in its original packaging, so keep the
packaging for the duration of the warranty period.
The warranty does not apply to damage caused by incorrect handling or attempts to
repair the unit by unauthorised persons (destruction of the seal on the unit).
Repairs will only be carried out under warranty if the completed warranty card is re-
turned accompanied by a copy of the dealer’s invoice/till receipt.
Always specify the product serial number in any event.
Disposal of used electrical and electronic units (applicable in the
countries of the European Union and other European with a separate
collection system). The symbol on the product or the packaging indicates
that this product is not to be handled as ordinary household waste but has to
be returned to a collecting point for the recycling of electrical and electronic units. You
protect the environment and health of your fellow man by the correct disposal of this
product.
Environment and health are endangered by incorrect disposal.
Material recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw material. You will receive
further information on the recycling of products from your local community, our commu-
nal disposal company or your local dealer.

3. Utilisation
3.1 Mise en marche et arrêt
Utilisez l’interrupteur ON / OFF pour allumer l’appareil. L’écran LCD s’allume et la confi-
guration actuelle ainsi que l’état de la batterie sont affichés. L’appareil est prêt à l’emploi
après 3 secondes. Après 8 secondes, l’écran s’éteint. Il s’allume à nouveau lorsqu’une
entrée est effectuée et s’éteint à nouveau après 8 secondes.
Utilisez de nouveau l’interrupteur ON / OFF pour éteindre l’appareil.
3.2 Sélectionner un canal
Mettez l’appareil en marche et maintenez la touche MODE enfoncée durant 3 secondes.
Le symbole « GRP » se met à clignoter sur l’écran LCD. Sélectionnez un numéro de
canal de 0 à 7 en utilisant les touches « » et « ». Après avoir sélectionné le ca-
nal, attendez 3 secondes pour confirmer la sélection.
Les émetteurs et les récepteurs doivent être réglés sur le même numéro de canal s’ils
doivent communiquer entre eux.
Veuillez noter que tous les menus affichent le symbole de la batterie, « MASTER »et
« TALK ». Ces symboles peuvent être ignorés.
3.3 Réglage du volume
Le volume peut être réglé sur 6 niveaux, de muet à maximum. Lorsque l’appareil est
en marche, appuyez sur les touches « » et « » pour régler le volume comme
vous le souhaitez.
