Please read these instructions carefully. If you have any questions regarding

1 x 20A Fuse 1 x Protective Tape (Roll) 1 x VHB Wipe
Kit Contents
6 x Clamp Locks 2 x Roof Bars
1 x Truckman Hardtop 1 x Wiring Loom 5 x Scotch Locks
Tools Required
Allen Keys
17 mm Wrench / Socket
(Use a Torque Wrench if possible)
Silicon Sealant & Pump
Drill Driver
Pair of Pliers
Multimeter (Recommended)
Also includes:
1 x Touch Up Paint
2 x Backup Keys
Temporarily open the pop
out windows to remove the
foam protection.
If fitted, remove the screw
at the top of the rubber
seals.

Tape the hardtop wire
temporarily to the roof bars.
Thoroughly clean the rear
window of the pickup and the
hardtop’s bulkhead window.

Assemble roof bars and fit
to bosses.
In the fitting kit, remove
the bolt caps from the
clamp locks and completely
unscrew each of them.

Preparation
Front
Note feature on rear bosses
Remove the cardboard
packaging from around
the top. Keep the packag-
ing intact.
Remove the fitting kit &
roof bars by leaning the
hardtop.

Align the top centrally on
the bed. Ensure there is
a good gap between the
hardtop and the vehicle
cab, and that the seal
under the hardtop door is
just touching the tailgate
or bedliner.

Fitting
Lift the hardtop onto the bed.
Loosely fit the clamps in between the gaps
in the black rubber strip

HEAVY LIFTING
At least 3 people
required for lifting
NEED ADVICE?
NOTE: The silicon should
not
have cured before fitting the top.
Wipe down the top of the
vehicle bed.
Seal the front corners with
silicon sealant. Use clear
or black, depending on the
vehicle colour.

OVERRAIL BEDLINERS can cause the hardtop to leak due to an uneven surface. Therefore Auto Styling highly
recommends converting to or replacing with an underrail bedliner.

Unscrew the brake light.
Unclip the connector in the
back of the light
Replace the disconnected
brake light back on the
vehicle.

Clean the top edge of tail-
gate using the VHB wipe
supplied or a good quality
bodywipe.
Remove the roll of tape
from the bag and cut one
end square.

Partly remove the backing from the tape.
Apply it to the tailgate, rubbing outwards to
remove any bubbles as you go.
Cut the other end square.

IMPORTANT: Door and tailgate
MUST be closed for step 4.
Tighten the clamps to
8Nm Torque using the
17mm wrench (Start with
the middle clamps).
Replace the bolt caps onto
the clamps.

(Just more than hand tight / 8Nm Torque)
Electrics Vehicle wire colours are listed as a guide.
Please check with a multi-meter before fitting the harness.
Ensure the ignition is off. Remove door
sill trim (and kick plate for the extra
cab) from the driver’s door.
D
rill a suitably sized hole in the
vehicle’s floor pan. We use a bore
hole drill bit. Connect the wiring loom
from the fitting kit to the hardtop.

Pass the ‘5-wire’ leg through the
hole, into the cab.
Slide a grommet down the wire and into
the hole. Pass the wire to the front and
fill the grommet with silicon
sealant.
Disconnect the hardtop.

In the door sill, expose
the wires and locate the
brake wire, heated rear
screen wire, door switch
wire and the central lock-
ing wires. The extra cab is
slightly different.
Using the provided scotch
locks (or similar method),
fix the loom as shown.

Extra Cab
The central locking wires for the extra cab are behind the kick plate in the connector shown below.
YELLOW CENTRAL LOCKING (LOCK) BLUE RED
Door switch needs to be held down, but
GREY CENTRAL LOCKING (UNLOCK) BLUE WHITE
these wires flash 12V using the remote
Double Cab
All wires for the double cab are in the same location (in the door sill) as shown above.
YELLOW CENTRAL LOCKING (LOCK) BLUE RED
Door switch needs to be held down, but
GREY CENTRAL LOCKING (UNLOCK) PLAIN BLUE
these wires flash 12V using the remote

Bring the other leg of
wires (including relay)
under the vehicle, into the
engine compartment.
Attach the relay as shown
and bring the wires round
the front to the battery.

Vehicle wire colours are listed as a guide only.
It is imperative that you check with a multi-meter them before connecting the wiring harness.

Use continuity checker with earth

Open the hardtop door.
Ensure the light is set to
“Door” and that the interior
light is on. Close the door
and check it switches off.
Press the brake pedal to
check the brake light is on.
Use reflective surfaces or a
second person.

Check that the hardtop locks an unlocks with
the vehicle’s remote.

Use a multimeter to confirm a current
across the heated rear window when on.

Apply silicon to grommet
from step 4. Replace all
door trim and cable tie
all external wire to the
chassis. Close all doors
and the bonnet.
Repeat steps 17-20 to
check everything still
works.

Attach the BLACK wire to the earth post
on the battery and the RED wire to the live
post on the battery.
Insert the fuse into the fuse holder and
connect the wiring loom to the hardtop.

NEED ADVICE?
The hardtop is designed to rely on the vehicles central
locking. It should open and lock with the vehicle’s key fob.
The included keys are intended to work as a backup, should
the central locking fail.
The keys CANNOT be removed once turned 180° to ensure
the vehicle is always locked with the vehicle.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Bedliners must be underrail for a good fit.
Ensure the tailgate and side windows are closed when
driving.
Do not place animals in the load area without
adequate ventilation.
Do not exceed the load limit on the roof rails
(See sticker on the hardtop)
MAINTENANCE
Use a light oil to lubricate the lock and hinges.
Check the tightness of the fixing clamps / bolts.
(Just more than hand tight / 8Nm Torque)
CLEANING
Use ordinary non-ammonia based car cleaning
products and a soft or microfibre cloth.
The hardtop is designed to rely on the vehicles central
locking. It should open and lock with the vehicle’s key fob.
The included keys are intended to work as a backup, should

the vehicle is always locked with the vehicle.
