1.0 Audio/Video Distribution Amplifier
1.1 YS SeriesAudio/Video DistributionAmplifier
The YS-3018/YS-30116 is an 8/16 output connectors RCA distribution amplifier with 1 set
of YpbPr video and 1 pair of audio RCA female input connectors and 8/16 sets of YpbPr video
and 8/16 pairs of audio RCA female output connectors.
The YS series audio/video distribution amplifier is a professional high performance
audio/video signal distribution amplifying equipment. It is used in one audio/video signal input
to multiple computer signals and audio/video signal output distribution amplification; each video
signal and audio signal are independently transmitted, thereby enabling attenuation of signal
transmission to be reduced to the minimum and ensuring high fidelity video and audio signals
output.
The YS series audio/video distribution amplifier is mainly used in broadcasting and TV
engineering projects, multimedia conference rooms, large display engineering projects, TV
teaching, and command control centers. This product has power overload protection and
synchronous video functions.

9.0 Serial Connection Operation
1. To display video on multiple TV/HDTVs you have to serially connect another distribution
amplifier.
2. Use the audio/video extension cord to connect to any RCA female output connector of the
front YS-3018/30116 audio/video distribution amplifier to the RCA female input connector of
the rear YS-3018/30116 audio/video distribution amplifier.
NOTE:
You are recommended not to connect too many distribution amplifiers because video
transmission will become unstable.
Figure 9-1
Remarks: Above figure shows serial connection of an 8-connector distribution amplifier to a
16-connector distribution amplifier. However, you can also serially connect other output
connectors to the YS-3018/30116 audio/video distribution amplifier.

10.0 FAQ
1.What should I do if the distribution amplifier fails to display or the display color is abnormal
after hot plug?
Answer: The internal switching of the distribution amplifier is carried out by IC chips. There is
an electric potential difference between the input signal equipment and the distribution amplifier.
The IC chips of the distribution amplifier can be easily damaged if the difference is big. You are
recommended to turn off power to the distribution amplifier and do not hot plug if you want to
replace wires.
2.What should I do if ghosting happens when video signal outputs to the display equipment?
Answer: Ghosting usually happens when the projector is improperly adjusted or the cable quality
is not up to standard. Generally, it is either poor cable quality or long transmission distance. You
are recommended to replace with better quality cable to avoid the problem.
3.What should I do if loss of color happens or even no video signal output?
Answer: Check if both sides of the video signal cable are correctly connected to the
corresponding connector.
4. What should I do if the power indicator does not lit?
Answer: Check if the equipment power input is properly in contact.
5. What should I do if static electricity is markedly sensed during plugging and unplugging of the
audio/video connectors?
Answer: It could be that your equipment power is not properly grounded. Make sure that you
have properly grounded your equipment to avoid damaging to the product and shorten product
life.
NOTE:
Do not replace the damaged power cord yourself. Only the distributor maintenance engineer
is authorized to replace the damaged power cord.
